This has a smoky vanilla taste, it is amazing and unique.
This is a pretty good multifaceted black tea. I wouldn t say it tastes like liquor, but it sure does have layers.
Gotten for my father, he loves the flavor of this and prefers honey to sugar

This tea is quite delicious. Just be aware that the taste is very strong, so for those that enjoy more subtle flavors this may be a bit overwhelming.
Where has this been all of my life? I almost wish it was Winter so I can have a cup by a nice fireplace! I will just have to drink it all year! I am going to send some to my friends. I think they will be pleasantly surprised. This has become my new favorite! Very rich and satisfying.

Surprising, interesting, and complex! Wonderful hot with a bit of sweetener; will have to try it iced (bet I won't be able to tell it from an actual cocktail.) So glad I gave this a chance - will order again!
From the time I opened the package, I knew that this was going to be a winner. You can taste all the subtle notes of caramelization and vanilla. Tasted exactly like a shot a bourbon in a cup of tea.
This is a very complex tea - almost smells/tastes smoky. I like it enough to re-order sometime, and will definitely remember it when buying gifts for certain friends. Unique & creative. :-)
As the description said, it is smokey with a hint of bourbon. You might think that it would be too heavy for the summer; but I add some ice to it for after dinner and it's quite delicious. Because of it's unique flavors, it's a really good choice for folks who think they don't like tea.
I found this terrible. The smell alone made me gag. Granted I’m not a bourbon drinker so others may feel differently
I was a little hesitant about trying this tea because I was not sure how bourbon would translate to a tea. When I first tasted it I thought it was a bit too smoky for my taste but when it cooled down a bit it had a really nice mellow smoke taste and I could smell the bourbon. Definitely surprised me a bit.
A great tea when you need something strong to smack you in the face and wake you up lol
I wouldn't drink it every day, as it's far too strong for my tastes to be a daily tea, but it's really great as an occasional drink. It's not bitter or overly tangy at all, and the overarching bourbon flavor is incredibly smooth on the tongue
not my flavor, but was a hit with the friend i bought it for. smells just like alcohol (which was a miss for me, haha!).
Make sure this isn't in your car if you get pulled over :). It smells so much like whiskey I think it could trick almost anyone. The taste is also wonderful, all the sweetness and fruitfulness of a nice bourbon without any of the rough mornings.
This tea really surprised me - in the beat way possible. The lapsang souchong ties the candied apple and vanilla flavours together really well, and provides a warm, cozy smokiness which is perfect for a Winter’s day.
Not a fan. Has a really weird aftertaste. Tried sweetening with brown sugar, honey and white sugar cubes. Smells really good but not for me.
I was SHOCKED by how much this smelled like real bourbon! even my old man enjoyed drinking this and he is not a tea guy. It was fantastic.
I liked this tea more than I thought I would, possibly because I was in the mood for some lapsang souchong. I didn’t care for the smell of the tea as it was steeping, but up close while drinking, I got more of the vanilla and smoky scents. I drank half of my cup hot, then added mint syrup and ice to try the suggested mint julep-style. That isn’t bad, but I may try to combine the Kentucky bourbon tea with a mint tea next time instead. I had to add a lot of my syrup to get the flavor close to a mint julep.
I wasn't sure what to expect but this tea is awesome, smells, and tastes like smooth bourbon.

I received this as a sample after much-anticipated waiting, since I love lapsang and smokey-flavored teas. Unfortunately, to me this tastes and smells strongly of bubblegum (that's apparently also a thing with Yuletide Toddy, though I don't see any overlap of ingredients that would cause it). My boyfriend agrees with me that it tastes like bubblegum, but he likes it that way, so I've ordered a whole pack of teabags for him. We'll see if my opinion changes with more exposure.

This tea has a quite sweet and slightly smoky whiskey flavor with a bit of a nuttiness as well. I loved this one as an iced latte!
I am giving this tea 4 out of 5 stars even though I won't be reordering it. Here's why: it's not terrible, but I don't really care for it. This is due to my extreme sensitivity to Lapsang Souchong, which is included in this blend. Normally any blend with even a little Lapsang Souchong is done and over with for me because it is so overpowering to my senses it is all I taste (and I don't exactly like it). However, I do taste some notes of the other ingredients. Not enough to save this one for me but enough I would feel bad rating this any lower as I acknowledge my sensitivity is not universal. So again, it's not the worst but it won't be taking home any medals. If you are also very sensitive to Lapsang Souchong be aware you might be taking a small risk (this is why samples are great). Thankfully my sister is a big fan of Lapsang Souchong and will likely be adopting it from me. I will note that despite the Lapsang Souchong dominating it IS rounded/smoothed out just a bit making it less obnoxious/biting as it usually tends to be.
I got a sample of this with a previous order and I liked it so much I had to get a full 3oz bag. It's amazing how well it captures the smokey and woody notes from a good bourbon, with an almost butterscotch overtone. I like my tea sweet, and this one takes it well, but can also be drunk without it.

I guess I don t like bourbon. This was a very complex mix of flavors but it came off bitter to me.
Tasted rather grassy. Reminded me of racing horses (which I used to do).

Decent black tea. Was very excited to try it, however the bouron flavor I feel did not really come through. Enjoyable tea but not what I expected in terms of flavor.
I really wanted to like this! I was so excited to get this in and share it with my whiskey-loving dad, but neither of us really liked it. The lapsang read as 'bacon', and it just otherwise generally had too many notes to distinguish.
Got this for my husband, and he really enjoyed it! I tried it too of course and found it to be very flavorful, but this just isn’t my first choice.
A smoky, rich flavor that was enjoyable for the first few sips but was too much for me after a full cup...not unlike actual bourbon.
So good had to go back and get a bigger bag to hoard! Definitely worth it.
Bought this in the teabags to try out in an easy way and I have to say this is a really lovely tea. It has a very subtle smokey sweetness and is also extremely smooth. I typically brew this just by placing a bag in a cup of room temp water to slowly steep. It doesn't take very long and gives an extremely smooth cup of tea.
Wonderful sipping tea. As a huge bourbon
fan, I won't say that it tastes just like bourbon, but it smells like bourbon and has a complex blend of favors that gives me the sensation of sipping on a good bourbon without the side effects.
This tea is really good! Nice 'warm' smell (my favorite part of bourbon) and not an astringent taste. Complex and layered. I immediately bought more after finishing my first cup. Will be a regular in this household!
This is an indulgence. Very rich and malty, with a mouthfeel similar to good coffee. The smoke note is at the back end - it reminds me of walking into a room where someone else was smoking a cigar or pipe recently. It is definitely there, but does not overwhelm the rest of the tea. I don't drink alcohol much but I've had bourbon - this is well named.

Smells amazing right out of the bag, and brews as a full bodied black tea. Similar to your morning Yorkshire tea, but lighter with a few competing undertones of apple, a bite of bourbon, and a smidge of something floral.
It is a little sweet, almost syrupy, but otherwise has a reasonable flavor.
This tea has both a pleasant and Smokey flavor. It makes me think of a cool fall evening sitting by a campfire.
