Not for me. I really wanted to like it..as a fan of bourbon ad tea. But alas, the smoky after taste was to my liking
Blended for slow sipping, this black tea has notes of vanilla, malt, and a hint of smoke from the bourbon barrel.

Not for me. I really wanted to like it..as a fan of bourbon ad tea. But alas, the smoky after taste was to my liking
I was skeptical at first but I actually love the bourbon undertones to this tea!
Absolutely love this tea. It's the perfect balance of smoky and creamy with a hint of sweetness.
I love this one so much, it was one of the first ones I bought a large amount of. It will be extra good with fall time coming up.
The scent does indeed remind me of bourbon, but to me, the flavor isn't quite there. Nonetheless, a very pleasant tea that I foresee reordering. Reminds me of fall!
Not sure how they pull this over but this tea is fantastic!
This is interesting. Has a touch of a bourbony, caramel taste. I like it but it’s not something I enjoy drinking every day. It’s something different that I can enjoy once a week or so
Surprisingly sweet aroma and a very nice flavor... excellent!
Oh my word. I don t even like lapsang suchong and I am in love with this tea. I just ordered a lb of it it is that good.
I don't drink, but I often like smokey and woody flavors, so I thought I might like this. I actually don't get much smoke or wood flavor, though. Mainly I get a generic fruity flavor, plus a difficult-to-place, unique flavor which I suppose is the 'fermented' flavor. Strong heartiness, slightly sour, and slightly bitter. I've never tried bourbon, so I don't know if this is close to what bourbon tastes like. I find the flavor OK, but I don't love it, which I guess shouldn't surprise me since I don't like alcohol. The tea is very weak at 1tsp/cup strength: I can only barely detect those flavors I mentioned without increasing to 2tsp/cup. I also tried it as an iced tea with a little mint extract, and I didn't like that at all. This is an interesting tea with a totally unique flavor, but it's not for me: I won't buy it again.
Loved it! It has a great bourbon flavor with notes of chocolate. It's great hot or iced as a latte.
A very bold tea with stron flavors! A smooth finish that makes you want to have more!
A very interesting tea. Never had whisky, but apparently the smoky flavor is quite reminiscent. Works well hot or iced
If you like bourbon you will love this Tea. For me it was to smoky tasting.
If you like the smell of bourbon more than you like the taste of alcohol, this is for you. With hints of butterscotch, this smells dead on bourbon. Taste-wise, it’s not as in-your-face, but it’s definitely there.
This is one of my favorite teas. It is very flavorful and is a very good sipping tea. I just love it. It's so good. - Ephraim
Oh my goodness. This tea is so good! Very complex and full of so much flavor. A great tea to drink while you’re bundled up next to a fire.
It was a great concept since Bourbon is really hot right now, but falls short with the splash of artificial bourbon flavor in it. Just that...tastes artificial. Maybe adding some real bourbon would help?
I didn't like this much as a hot tea, however as an iced tea this is amazing and goes very well with some bourbon!
What a fun flavor. Perfect tea to drink on the porch at twilight. Will be great in the winter for a toddy.
Very nice, mildly bourbon-y. I really like the hint of smoky lapsang souchang. Especially good when iced with a bit of honey
It's a really good tea, but I think the name is a bit off. The smokiness is more akin to Scotch than bourbon, and the taste is pretty much just lapsang souchon. Not that there's anything wrong with a good lapsang - I was just hoping for more of a bourbon-y flavor.
Such a complex and excellent tea. It really does have a similar smell and taste to bourbon, without the 'whiskey burn'
Kentucky Bourbon has smoky flavor laced with fruity notes. It is a perfect substitute to the real thing.
It does taste reminiscent of bourbon but it’s a weird combo in my opinion
I really like this tea! I wasn t quite sure of what to expect, but I am happy with the flavor. Good tasting, not artificial, great tasting tea.
The flavor is wonderful, very reminiscent of bourbon! A bit intense though, so use with caution.
Wow, the flavor and smell are definitely on point. I find sipping on this to be quite satisfying when you crave a drink but not the buzz (e.g. during a late afternoon work meeting). I drink it in my bourbon glass to add to the experience.
Really smooth and delicious plain with nothing added.
Intensely flavored. Uncertain if I'll order it again, but I liked it best with cream and honey. Heavy on smoke flavor.
The barrel smoke tones were a little strong for me, but my husband loved it. It's probably his favorite tea he's tried so far.
This tea smells smoky and gives the aroma of bourbon. The flavor carries through nicely, but could be a bit bolder. I enjoy it, and it would be a very good tea for a rainy afternoon!
This tea is lightly sweet, and I didn’t need to add sugar or honey. The smokiness is interesting— I’m still on the fence on whether or not I like the aftertaste. But the tea itself is nice and smooth, and I like the hint of vanilla and bourbon. It smells incredible!
Such an interesting and complex tea. Nice and smokey, with a plesant carmel undertone. I think it s less of a summer tea, and more a tea to snuggle up with on a chilly fall evening
On its own, not my favorite tea. Combined with alcohol, this produces incredible results - try it as a hot toddy!
I'm not impressed with this tea. It's ok, but not great. A bit too smokey and 'heavy'.
This one a good, but admit it is not as stellar as I had hoped in reading the description. The smell is better than the taste.
I thoroughly enjoyed this with milk and sugar. the flavor was deep and complex. It was a busy work day, so i didn't have time to linger over it, and i look forward to having a slower cup next time.
It tastes like described, which is an accomplishment, I guess. If you like tea that tastes like bourbon, you may like it. Turns out I don't.
Really interesting flavor! I made a cold-brew and made a mocktail using this tea and it doesn't quite replace whiskey that way, but it's a great sipping tea on its own and very nice balance of notes.
Just a little sweet, just a little smokey. Good with a little bit of milk.
I am a bit dissapointed with this tea, I thought I would love it but sadly I don't. I was excited to try the Kentucky Bourbon blend, but the combination of flavors is not as appealing as I thought it would be.
Absolutely the best lapsang souchong I’ve ever had! I was previously firmly afraid of the stuff after a run in with a negative batch of it from a different company, and had I known this featured said tea I probably wouldn’t have gotten it. But I wasn’t aware (I have zero impulse control) and I’m glad I purchased this because it is a beautiful flavour! I personally am a whiskey/bourbon fan in general and I adore the strong rich flavour this tea has. It lends itself well to sugar and cream as well as being good black. I personally like it very strong but it’s nice weaker as well!
I can see the appeal. Unfortunately, that appeal is not for me. I purchased it because I was curious so I'm not mad or anything about it but I definitely will not be getting it again. The flavor was really strong and tasted like cough syrup. I did follow the directions for making it to a 'T' (pun intended? Maybe?).
It tastes pretty much like Kentucky Bourbon. However, it was a little too weak for me as a tea. But if you like bourbon then you're going to have a good time with this tea. I'd recommend brewing it hot and then serving over ice.
My dad only drinks black lipton tea and hate everything. He loved that tea. But do not let it sit too long.
I was skeptical about this tea when I saw the name. I enjoy Bourbon and the thought of a Kentucky Bourbon tea I had my reservations. The first thing you will notice when opening up the bag is it does smell like Bourbon. It is crazy how close they got the smell. The taste is great, not to strong and has notes of vanilla, malt and a hint of smoke from the bourbon barrels.
This is by far one of my favorite teas! Make a mock Manhattan by using cherries or cherry juice. I prefer this, and most teas, cold brewed.
This is a very interesting tea that I am pleased to add to my collection. The tea leaves themselves smell remarkably like bourbon, which is fascinating. The general consensus in my house is that the brewed tea doesn't smell or taste like bourbon (obviously), and that this tea is far more pleasant if sipped over a long period of time. It leaves a warm feeling in my stomach hours after the fact, which I find enjoyable. I did try this tea iced, out of curiosity (cold brew) and I did not like it much. But this makes a solid hot tea that is perfect for sipping in front of a roaring fireplace, as you stare into the flame and bitterly wonder where it all went wrong.
This tea is smoky but smooth, and mellow. I’m not crazy about it personally, but my husband loves it. We sweeten it with just a bit of honey but it’s nice on its own as well.
