This was okay for me, but my husband loved it. I guess because he likes bourbon and I don't!
I'm still not sure how I feel about this blend. It certainly tastes reminiscent of bourbon! The smoky and apple flavors work pretty well together, but there's still something about it that's just not for me.
Unique flavor when I need an afternoon pick-me-up!!
I did not like the smokey flavor this tea had. It reminds me of the gunpowder flavor

Too much smoke! This and the elderberry wine are the only two Adagio teas so far that I just do not like. Bourbon should be slightly sweet, but this is ALL smoke. Both this and the wine tea do not taste any bit like bourbon or wine. This is just not for me.
So nice when you wish you could start the day drinking, but instead just get to pretend.
I'm not a bourbon drinker but have always enjoyed how it smells, so I wasn't sure how I would feel about this tea. It's definitely interesting with a smooth almost creamy body from the malt and vanilla flavors, with layers of smokiness and caramel apple. I enjoy it without anything added to it, and it's nice for slow sipping while reading a good book. Probably not something that I would drink every day but good occasionally when in the right mood.
This is a great tea mocktail that tastes great hot or cold!
I m not a bourbon drinker, but this tea is delicious on its own merits. The smoke and fruit tones compliment each other perfectly.
I've never actually had bourbon before, but this is what I'd picture it tasting like.
Might be better if blended with something else but on its own the flavor is too strong for my liking.

When I opened the envelope I couldn't believe how good this tea smelled. I typically don't care for flavored teas because most start out this way, i.e. smelling fantastic then coming up short on flavor or just taste wonky. This tea tasted very good I am happy to report and I will probably buy some more. I am a bourbon drinker and of course nothing tastes like bourbon except bourbon but I did enjoy the attempt made here and it does taste good.
This one’s gonna be my new winter warmer for sure! Just a little smoky, but smoother than I expected, the deep vanilla notes are almost caramel, quite rich.

This one was too much for me. the flavor was strong just like straight bourbon. thought i would like it initially, but some black teas overwhelm my tastes. i'll stick to my vanilla jim beam. i passed the rest to a friend and will update his thoughts on this one.
The taste is all right, but I am not a fan of the smell. And unfortunately I have to smell it while I drink it. Not for me. I'm glad I tried it though.
This tea is intensively smoky and for me, this ruined the flavour.
I’m obviously not a bourbon drinker. This smelled and tasted terrible. I’m sure that a bourbon enthusiast will appreciate and enjoy this tea. I bought two samplers and I don’t believe in wasting money so intend to use all of it. Maybe I’ll acquire the taste. If so I’ll update my review.
I was not previously the biggest fan of lapsang souchong, but this is real nice if you feel like something smokey. It is splendidly reminiscent of bourbon though perhaps a bit stronger on the caramel. A nice once-in-a-while tea for something different.
This tea is wonderful! It has wonderful vanilla, caramel, and smokiness tastes to it which reminds me of bourbon!

It's a little different because I am used to traditional black teas. I like this tea.
I think this is an interesting tea- I first tried it as I usually take my teas, without any milk or sweetener. I really did not like it, as i found the smoky flavor too distracting. I added a little bit of honey, and found that this transformed the taste, so I was able to pick up flavors other than just the smoke...I think that I probably won't be ordering this again, but definitely a tea that might appeal to someone who appreciates that smoky quality.
Well it definitely tastes a lot like bourbon, but that doesn't necessarily translate to the perfect tea drinking experience. It's interesting though!
We have been on a bourbon kick lately so when my husband and I saw this we knew we had to try it. Wow! I was not sure due to the lapsang if I would like it but it was subtle enough and complemented the tea along with the other flavors bring another favorite into our home. Adiago has never disappointed.
Overall, I enjoyed this tea. I felt the bourbon flavor made it a bit too astringent and bitter for my taste. I love the uniqueness! I think if the flavors were balanced a bit more, this could get bumped up to 5 stars.

tastes ok when being cold brewed, be mindful not to use too hot water because its really not great tasting when burned
Weirdly manages to do what it says on the tin. Quite enjoyed it.
I also got hints of raisin and bacon.. I am trying not to drink alcohol, so this is an ideal replacement for me. This is a top tea in my book! Can I give this 6 stars???

The only bad thing about this tea is that I am wary to drink it at night for the caffeine before bed! Would love a decaf version of this. :)
This might be one of the oddest things I ve ever had in tea form, but it s not bad. It s just... odd. I d definitely call it an acquired taste, and I expect it s something I m going to really enjoy as the weather cools. I m not a bourbon drinker, however, so that may be what s got me going 'well, it s good, but not great.'
Love this tea in the evening when I get home after work. Nice ending to the work day. I also blend it with my Irish Breakfast tea in the morning to get me up and roaring for the day!

Didn't like the taste at all, even after adding an ounce of bourbon to it. It doesn't taste anything like Kentucky Bourbon to me, but then again I'm not a drinker.

I get where the idea of bourbon comes from in the flavor, it s smokey flavor from the tea that s pretty nice, and a sweetness that honestly reminds me of bubblegum, though not quite the same flavor. It s not terrible, but doesn t really taste that similar to whiskey(more specifically bourbon) to me.
