This was an interesting tea to try - once. It has a good flavor and really does taste like bourbon! We discovered, though, that bourbon is not really a flavor we enjoy in our tea. If you enjoy bourbon I do recommend you try this tea.

Way too smoky! The smoke flavor and aroma was much more reminiscent of heavily peated scotch. It overpowered everything

★★★★☆

This was confusing, but overall I think I enjoyed it. Only ever tried it hot, never iced.

★★★★★

I bought it because everyone was recommending it and it did not disappoint. The smell was incredible from the beginning. I was kind of worried for the whiskey taste, but it didn’t bother me at all! I’ll buy that again for sure.

They nailed the bourbon flavor. Unfortunately, this tea tastes like a bottle of Jack Daniels that was left out in the sun.

★★★★★

My wife and I both really enjoy this one, especially on cold days. The smell is very nice as well.

★★★★☆

Is it strange that this does have a redolent bourbon like taste (sans the alcohol burn)? It's probably sweeter than most actual bourbons, but you can drink the tea without sugar.

★★★★★

A really great, savory flavor to this tea. It's one I need to be in the mood for, but when I am, it is just perfect.

Not a huge fan. It's not undrinkable or anything but just kind of blah

This was the first tea I had recommended to me. It definitely is a very unique tea! There's layers of flavors with a noticeable taste of bourbon and hints of vanilla. I've realized while true to its description, it's not what I look for in a tea. I feel like this is one people will either love or hate.

I'll be honest, I in no way believed this would live up to its name. I expected it to be good, maybe evocative, but this really hits the spot in the same way a good bourbon does. (Well, most of the ways, of course.) I'm looking forward to trying this out iced.

This is a surprisingly good tea! The bourbon notes come through nicely and goes well with the vanilla notes and the tea flavor that comes through. I highly recommend for anyone looking to add depth and excitement to their daily black tea routine.

Okay. Loved this tea the smoky sweet flavor. I have added other fruity teas to add to the depth. However great on its own.

★★★★★

Love this. It is smoky and malty, but with more of a pronounced fruit flavor, making it more complex than your average lapsang souchong.

This is delicious served hot, but it does come off sweeter than I expected so no need to add sugar.

★★★★★

It really tastes like bourbon! The rooibos works really well with the vanilla and oaky flavors.

I had to try this just because it was Bourbon flavored. I actually really enjoyed it. First of all, the smell of it once you open the bag won me over. The flavor of the tea was really nice, even when adding honey.

It sounds wonderful. Unfortunately it is nothing but smoke flavor.

★★★★★

Subtly smoky and rich flavored tea. Well done blend.

★★★★★

I don't know how you did it but it tastes exactly like bourbon. Tea totaling might have stuck around if this was the tea.

★★★☆☆

This is ok to me. I like the whiskey flavoring , but the after taste seems aggressively Smoky

I'm not a spirits drinker but I really wanted to try this. Turns out I LOVE it. It's so smooth. I transferred from the bag to an airtight container and the aroma was really strong around the tea cabinet for several days until I got used to it. Just ordered more!

Seeing that this tea had Lapsang Souchong in it initially put me off. I do not like the smokey taste/flavor of LS tea. I'm glad I took a gamble on this one. The smokey flavor of the Kentucky Bourbon tea is very subtle, and works very well!

My new favorite and a great gift for male colleagues/friends
The flavor is reach but not too strong. I envoy it hot, or cold on rocks in a whiskey glass

★★★★☆

The aroma of this tea is divine. It uniquely captures the essence of Bourbon. I was a little disappointed in the nose after the tea was brewed, the black tea seemed to take over the cup. More of the delicate flavors came through upon tasting, but it was a tiny bit bitter. I'll be sure to adhere to the 3-minute steeping suggestion on my next cup.

Good for Adagio for making a tea taste exactly like the name, but an alcohol flavored tea is just not for me...too sweet but also bitter and had an off flavoring for me. Tried it with honey and it didn t make it any better

★★★★★

Great tea! I was surprised at how much bourbon flavor there was in this!

As soon as I saw this I wanted to try it. Being a bourbon drinker I knew I would be in for a treat and this tea didn’t disappoint. Just smelling the bag was wonderful. After steeping the smell was like the smell after I open my bottle of Makers...heavenly. It tastes like you are drinking a nice cup of warm bourbon on a cold evening by a nice warm fire. Very nice.

The name and description of this one sounded so interesting. I’ve never been one to crave smokey anything, but I just had to try it. This was my first experience with the smokiness of Lapsang Souchong, and I like it in this blend! ~ ~ When looking for a morning black tea in my cabinet, I am frequently drawn to this one. I usually have it with raw agave and a splash of cream or half and half. ~ ~ I never would have thought of adding mint to this, but I also tried the mint julep suggestion in the description. What an unexpected delight! ~ ~ I could drink this year-round, but it seems especially perfect for fall and winter.

This is the best bourbon tea I’ve had. The aroma is amazing. This tea tastes and smells just like bourbon without the burn. There are notes of vanilla and delicate smoky notes. I love this tea! I need to order a bigger bag!

★★★★☆

It's dark, woody, a little smoky, and very satisfying with a dash of milk. It's a very specific and strong flavor, so I don't want it every day, but I really like it.

★★★★☆

This is one that I have to brew a single cup at a time rather than with my pot. It's strong, not bad, but I found I needed far less loose tea per cup than I usually use. The bourbon is forward to me, which I enjoy.

★★★★☆

This is a really unique tea, and it's good, but I'm giving it four stars because it doesn't really remind me of bourbon and it's not my favorite. My mom, however, asks for it all the time! Smokey, vanilla, and cherry-like flavor. I wish the smoke was more subtle, but that's just my personal taste. Maybe a sweeter version with orange and spice could be an 'old fashioned' tea which would be more up my alley.
Update—I finished the bag mostly through a motivation to justify making room for another tea order. It wasn't my favorite but it is doing something unique that might be perfect for someone else. I recommend sampling this before committing because it is a strong flavor.

This is truly my fav! Absolutely fully of flavor and sooo comforting. Rich and smooth.

★★★★☆

Hints of bourbon. Heavy smoky flavor is a bit overwhelming. Not sure I'd order again.

★★★★★

This is a complex tea and rather surprising. Mimics the bourbon sweet front with a (very) smoky finish. A little bit of a sensory whiplash at times but it's enjoyable. This tea is finicky, don't steep it too long.

Phenomenal. It’s my favorite go-to warm up on these cold winter days.

I bought this on a whim and I love it. My husband also likes it and he’s not the biggest tea drinker. Slightly sweet and smoky, delicious with a bit of half and half.

I gave this one a try and just did not like the smoke flavor in my tea. It has caramel undertones, so I mixed it with caramel tea to finish up the batch.

They weren't kidding about that whiskey flavor. I'm not a drinker myself, but even then, it's a good tea. All the other flavors blend together nicely. I need to try this as a latte!

My fiancé and I love this tea! We've tried other whiskey teas, and they were really just slightly fancier lapsang souchongs. This one, however, really captures the butterscotch, vanilla, floral, slightly acidic flavors one finds in a nice bourbon/scotch. Tried it black or with a touch of brown sugar and milk, and honestly, I feel like the flavors really shine when it's just served black.

I'm going to be biased since I'm just okay with bourbon as it is. This tea have a very strong bourbon scent upon opening. Brewed, it was a very strong flavour that reminds me of tobacco, leather, smoke, and some caramel (which adds some sweetness). It will likely be a tea that I break out once in a while.

Tastes like a campfire - no discernible bourbon taste that I could identify

I would have never ordered this but it was part of Communitea selections. I liked it, it was different with a malty vanilla tone. Fun to change up from my standard teas.

I'm a bourbon drinker and this tea smelled like bourbon. The taste wasn't what I was expecting but it was still tasty. It has a rich deep aroma like a dark cherry soaked in brandy. I will buy this again. I had it without any additives and it was very smooth on the palate.

This is an amazing cold brew tea. I make single servings in mason jars and the smoky smooth taste really comes through in as little as a day.

★★☆☆☆

As a big fan of bourbon, I had high hopes of loving this tea. Sadly, this tea missed the mark. The tea had a decent bourbon smell but had a bitter taste. I had one cup and threw the remainder away. I do not recommend this tea.

Kentucky Bourbon tea has definitely smokey taste of a good Bourbon. We tasted this tea with our friends who are serious tea drinkers and they loved it. We enjoyed it very much too. We will be buying more.

★★☆☆☆

Not what I was expecting. I found it too sweet and fruity. Could use more smoke?
