It really does taste like bourbon, which is great because I love the taste but don't drink.

Very good but subtle bourbon flavor. I make it into iced tea with rock sugar and it's good.

So delicious! You really get the bourbon flavor but it’s not too overpowering

Oh lord why did I order this as a discounted sample? This is really not my flavor profile. At least it smells nice!

Very good. I’ve never had bourbon so can’t compare, but I really enjoy this. Pretty strong aroma so I imagine it would be a love or hate tea.

How can tea smell of bourbon? Woodsy, caramel, vanilla, with a slight alcohol twang. The scent carries over to the taste. Some may find the smokey flavor a bit much but I found it to be quite rich and yummy.

Good with a nice cigar or to sit back and sip. I only drink this on certain occasions.

Turned this into a hot toddy on a cold winter day and it was a perfect winter pick me up :) Made walking the dog a lot more fun. It also works as a great gateway tea for the coffee drinkers out there.

Not a fan not that it isn't good, just hard to think whiskey in the morning.

A good tea to drink when you are tired of plain black since the flavoring is not too overwhelming.

This was a gift for my sister who loves bourbon, yet is trying to cut down on mid week drinking. She says the aroma and taste are a great substitute and it is relaxing at the same time.

I put it with fruit and it tasted amazing. I might not be the best to tell you about the taste since I was too excited about the orange and bourbon pair and used the whole bag. It smelled so delightful though and had a very strong bourbon taste though there is no bourbon in it.

This was all right. I mixed it with masala chai for a hint of sweetness.

Smells amazing dry.
Once brewed it is very manly and tough, like Wolverine. Just don't add sweetener. Then it is Wolverine in a pink tutu. You can't undrink that.

It has the flavor of bourbon without the alcoholic burn. My husband likes it too.

This has an okay flavor, but I was hoping for more oak in it. If you like apple teas, this would be good to you

I love this tea. I have never had bourbon. But this smells of alcohol I can t quite put my finger on in the bag. I m sure if I had smelled bourbon it would smell like bourbon. It has a smoky flavor and an earthy fruity flavor like dried fruit or figs. Without honey the smoke it more dominant. With honey the friuty flavor is brought out and the smoky flavor is less pronounced. I like it both ways. This is a tea some people will hate with a passion, but I love it. If you don t like the smell, you probably won t like it.

I was not super impressed with this tea. I'm not sure what I expected, but it didn't remind me of bourbon or really anything else.

★★★★★

I got this in a sampler set and have been obsessed ever since! Thanks to everyone who recommended brewing it with some honey, twice (first time 3 minutes, second time 4-5 minutes). Makes a large amount of tea and is good hot, but AMAZING cold!! I could drink this daily and be happy!

Good with milk, but personally it’s a bit strong for my tastes

Super good, it’s nice iced with mint syrup, for a mint julep mocktail

Absolutely loved this. We bought a sample of this and I have to have more. It's not a slap in your face alcohol flavor, its subtle and sultry. Has some smokey and caramel notes which a bit of sweetener will open up the caramel more. I can get two cups from it no problem

★★★★☆

Wonderful rich aroma on this one. I had a bit of hesitation with it due to the caramel flavor mentioned in the description And that being something I’m less than fond of. However, there wasn’t anything to worry about.

This wasn’t quite what I expected, but it wasn’t a bad tea. There wasn’t quite the smokey flavor I expected, but that could be due to a lower brew temp, but I’d tried higher on a first try and there was a bit to much of a bitter bite to it for me. I might let it steep a little longer next time and see if the smoke comes through a little more. But it’s nice mix of flavors that blend well. The tea is easy drink hot, warm and cool and has a nice body to it. It’s not one that I want to drink throughout the whole day or regularly but it’s one I’m certain I will enjoy when it’s desired.

This is a fascinating and charming blend! A splash of this in the blood orange iced tea makes a stunner of an iced tea. I brewed it strong and refrigerated it for the closest analog to bourbon- but without the burn- I've run across. As my household is non-alcoholic, it hits possibly a little close to home for my partner, but I really love it!

A very rich flavorful tea. Exactly as I expected it to taste! Essence of bourbon permeates the warm beverage.

I’m not super enamored with it but it does have a nice smoky flavor similar to bourbon!

My review is biased based on I did not get to have bourbon in it and that is what I wanted. I am sure it would have been great with the alcohol in it. My tastebuds were disappointed but it is my fault just because I cannot have etoh.

Doesn't come close to tasting like a bourbon , fragrance in bag is not very appealing and almost threw away, not for me

I love how smokey and soothing this tea is. It is a great start to my morning.

This tea is amazing and complex. It is malty, a bit smoky with nice hints of vanilla and caramel. I am not a fan of Lapsang Souchong but in this tea it is complimented by the vanilla and caramel. The smell is intense and draws you in. This tea is like having a smooth bourbon. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon.

I've grown accustomed to saying 'WOW' with each first sip when I try a new flavor. Adagio Teas are really THAT good. This Kentucky Bourbon, however, is like nothing I have ever had before. WOW doesn't even begin to describe the profound and fabulous flavor of this tea. It's beautiful in the package, smells amazing (it's intense), and the taste is UNBELIEVABLE. I do not like Lapsang Souchong, however, the smokiness in this tea is just right, like a good bourbon barrel should be. It's got a sultry and warm caramel, vanilla, malt flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness - very similar to a fine, smooth bourbon but without the bite of alcohol. I am a fan of many black teas, but this one INSTANTLY became my favorite. Honestly, it's the best black tea blend I have ever tasted. 10/10 ya'll need to try this tea right away!

I was very impressed by how well the bourbon flavor came through; I definitely didn’t expect it. I like this a lot but I can only imagine reaching for it once in a while.

Definitely an interesting taste, but I’m not a huge fan of smoky so that took away from the taste for me

This tea is smokey and slightly bitter, but balanced with notes of caramel

Delicious, complex tea! I can taste fruit, vanilla, something malty and rich, as well as just a hint of something interesting and smoky. I’m glad the smokiness was not overpowering, as I generally do not care for smoky flavors. This one was delicious, though! I ordered a sample because I love trying new things, and because most of the flavor notes sounded like things I prefer. I will definitely be ordering this one again. And that was a delightful surprise to me! Do not oversteep..

I tried a sample of this on a whim, and was surprised how much I liked it. It really does have bourbon flavor, though of course alcohol free. Not too overpowering either. I suspect this would make amazing iced tea as well. Don t over-steep this one for sure though! Please note, water boils at 199 degrees where I am, due to altitude.

This is such a great tea. It gives the hint of bourbon. Perfect for the Kentucky Derby coming up.

Opening the bag had a really pleasant sweet, caramelly, malty scent to it that I'd love to have as a scented oil or candle scent. A similar flavor comes through once brewed and this is one of my favorite flavored teas now.

So aromatic! Taste is so smooth and satisfying you’ll want another cup.

It's a little sharper and more caramel-y than i prefer on the first steep. Subsequent steeping yield a smoother, complex blend that resembles a bourbon.

A pleasant tea, with a warming aroma. I enjoy this in the evening after dinner, or in the afternoon for a pick-me-up.

Seriously does have whiskey notes! I found it easy to over-steep, but a bit of cream mellowed this out nicely.

Nice malty sweetness. Not my everyday tea but a nice wY to shake it up.
