I like this tea, however it is a strong black tea and I wish it tasted more like gingerbread. I dont taste a lot of clove or ginger.
decent flavoured tea - not real strong. I think Jolly Gingerbread is better. CT 12/11/2023.
I think something is wrong with my CommuniTEA packet. The black tea flavor was too strong, no spiciness of gingerbread flavor detected. Cream & honey made it drinkable, but based on other reviews I feel my sample wasn't a true representation of this flavor. Hopefully in future I'll get a more accurate sample and will update my review. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA December box.
Update 2023: so much better than this years old novice review. One of our holiday favorites, even my sister had a cup today.
A very mild gingerbread tea with a hint of cinnamon. Wouldn't say it's my favorite since I am not a fan of gingerbread. It was good enough to warm up for the evening with a little bit of flavor.

Light cinnamon/spice aroma from the packet. Big piece of orange peel, a couple of tiny pieces of maybe ginger. 2 min @ 165. Tastes like black tea with a hint of cinnamon/spice but not gingerbread. No bitterness or astringency, but not for me.
This tea is the perfect wintertime tea. It is the best for this season, and brings a wonderful taste to every day. It's one of my favorites and I wish there were more of it every time I finish the pot.
This is cozy holiday tea. Puts me in a festive mood. Wonderful gingerbread aroma and mild soothing gingerbread taste. Lovely with a little honey.
I do like gingerbread, but this tea was lacking in something for me. I can’t put my finger on it for what I’m missing.
I don't taste much gingerbread, which is disappointing. It's still a tasty tea, but I was hoping for some stronger spices - if someone put a cup of this in front of me, I wouldn't be able to tell it was gingerbread. I added some sugar and splash of oat milk.
This is a yummy black tea with mild gingerbread flavor.
It's a light gingerbread. Kind of like if you are making gingerbread for your MIL that thinks cumin is spicy, this is the lightness on the gingerbread flavor. Sugar and milk is definitely needed to bring out the molasses flavors.
Love this! Not sure where other drinkers are missing out on flavor here -- the spices are mild (and I'll admit I don't get any orange), but the underlying molasses note means that it tastes like a cookie in a cup. IDK, maybe I got a particularly good packet? It's a win from me.

I feel the same way about this tea that many others have already expressed: the flavor profile is not strong enough to call this gingerbread. The spices are too mild and I didn't get any taste of orange even though its listed as an ingredient. It's an okay black tea, but I was slightly disappointed.
A nice and mild ginger tea. The cinnamon shines through, but the orange gets lost.
This is an amazing holiday blend. I only added sugar but somehow it tasted very creamy to me. This really got me into the holiday spirit! Well timed CommuniTea. :D

I’m not a fan of gingerbread. I didn’t think that the tasted like gingerbread, though. It had a nice spice, but also was a bit astringent.
Nothing puts me in a holiday mood faster than gingerbread.This tea is a lighter version of the bread. The real stuff would be heavy on the ginger and cinnamon, which I would have appreciated more. However, this mildly spiced tea is very good, with a hint of orange flavor peeking through. It also plays well with others; as I have used it in other blends when I wanted a low key kind of spiciness, instead of the intensity of a chai.
This tea is good. Glad to have tried this through CommuniTEA. However, it needs some additives to give it life, imo. Thus, Enjoy adding your fav combo: Creme-N-Sugar or 'Cinnamon Bees Honey'..or even more spicyness..ie Selefina Pumpkin Pie Spice...for an enhanced holidæ cuppa magicks. ❄️☃️🧣🍵✨️
Brewed this tea at a very hot temp and found it to be a simple bitter black tea, added some milk and then tasted possibly a hint of gingerbread? Not sure. It's in the middle for me, just okay.
I tried several brews - less or more tea, longer or shorter brewing times, but this tea always delivers a predominant bitterness. It's too bad because the tea itself smells absolutely divine. I ended up simmering the remainder of my sample size on the stove so the house smelled nice.
Tasty! I love to mix half and half with decaf ceylon.
This tea is AMAZING!
I loved Gingerbread Latte s from SB but since they stopped selling them in the US I ve needed something to replace it with and so far everything I had come up with fell short. This tea however, is the perfect replacement!
I steam my milk with a splash of vanilla creamer while this steeps, once mixed together no sugar is needed and it s perfect with a slice of gingerbread loaf. Will be buying more once I m out. @adagioteas

Another excellent tea from Adagio, Nice subtle fragrances runs throughout the entire cup. The natural gingerbread flavor adds to the enjoyment of this tea. Wil have to reorder in time for the start of winter.
This is the perfect treat for when you want something sweet and a little spicy without the calories. Will definitely buy this one again!! It's more than just a seasonal delight. Yum!
Yummy! Made me want to pull out the molasses and start making cookies for the holiday. Adding a little sugar and cream makes it even better.

I thought it was just ok, I was expecting more nuance of flavor, but it's not a bad tea. More of a black tea with ginger flavor.
This tea is great to have on hand when you get the craving for some holiday spice. It's good with creamer and sweetener, or plain. I usually add creamer and sweetener to make it as rich and creamy as possible. Wonderful tea!
I loved this tea! It reminded me of a gingerbread cookie out of the oven. The gingerbread tea wasn't over powering at all and everything went together perfectly!
This is a delicious tea blend and goes down so nicely. Something about it just reminds me of a day of baking on a cold winter day

This tea has a fantastic flavor. For me, it is the perfect holiday day with the right amount of flavor. There are several Christmas holiday-themed teas offered by Adagio an this one is the best.
This is why I love Adagio's CommuniTea. I don't love ginger tea so I never would have tried this but it really tastes like a cookie rather than just ginger. There is a very light ginger at the back of the throat but it is gorgeous.
The ginger flavor in gingerbread tea was pleasant, but not amazing. Of all the seasonal teas we tried, this was a bit underwhelming.
