This one's alright. It'd be better with a bit more kick, or something because its nigh undrinkable plain. With a scoop of vanilla chai its perfect, but I wouldn't recommend on its own.
Both Gingerbread men and women agree: this unique tea is the perfect addition to any house (gingerbread or regular).

This was a good tasting tea. I am using as an ingredient in several tea blends.
So bitter. The gingerbread spice flavor is nice, I guess, but it's overwhelmed by the yuck factor of the Ceylon in ways other flavored teas aren't.
Not too spicy, not too sweet. A perfect tea to cozy up with on a chilly evening.
Gingerbread cookies happens to be one of my fave deserts ever, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a tea that tastes almost like the very same thing. Sweet, malty, mellow and just a hint of spice (though to be fair, I think there should be more ginger in the tea, since I like a kick of spice). A great way to introduce someone to spicy teas without being overwhelming, and a nice tea to enjoy for those cold nights (and holidays).
Taste like fall. Smells like fall.
This was a wonderfully tasteful tea! I will be ordering more for the holidays for sure.
A yummy addition for winter and holiday mornings!!
This is probably one of my favorite flavored teas I have ever tasted. It's warm, cozy, and inviting. Definitely puts you in the holiday spirit. Would highly recommend it.
This is a good tea to enjoy on a fall day, the gingerbread flavor is there but not too overwhelming.
A warm, buttery scent on top of a slightly more bitter blend. Tasty and inviting with sugar and cream, this would go well with any holiday cookie -- perhaps it would be too overpowering with actual gingerbread though. It is more like a gingerloaf than a gingercookie, and you may find yourself adding more sugar than you are used to if you enjoy a sweeter cup.
I didn't like this one by itself, or just with sugar/honey. It had an aftertaste I wasn't keen on. When I added a bit of milk it toned down the bite. I think the flavor would appeal more to someone else, as it's not a BAD flavor, it's just not one I personally would reach for when I'm in the mood for tea. It smells really good, and it is cozy on a chilly morning.
Really pleasant, mildly spiced tea. I thought it tasted quite a bit like fresh gingerbread, just like my mom used to make.
I received the Gingerbread tea as a gift. I love having a cup of this first thing in the morning. I do wish it had a little more spicy taste, but I love it anyway. My husband has started drinking it to and he is not really a tea drinker.
Not as spiced as i probably would have liked. Probably better in a blend than on it's own, but still a decent cup.
Smells (not too strongly) of Christmas cookies, but a bit lackluster in actual ginger flavor. I taste a bit more vanilla and sugar as opposed to gingerbread. I think this is best suited for creating warm blends.
I really love gingerbread, so I was disappointed when I sampled this tea and discovered it wasn't at all to my taste. It doesn't have the ginger flavor I was expecting, lacks spice (much like Adagio's cinnamon), and is really not at all a gingerbread flavor. It's more a 'vaguely, generally spice-flavored tea without actually having spice,' which is about as disappointing as it sounds. If you're looking for a holiday tea, go try hazelnut (or even candy cane, if you want some minty-flavored holiday goodness.) This one's not worth the $2 for the sample bag.
a nice, spicy tea with good flavors. not complicated.
I'm enjoying playing with this tea in blends, but I'm not as in love with it as I wanted to be. It's good tasting, but to qualify as gingerbread flavor, it seems like it should have a bit more... snap. In my opinion, this is more delicious when it's blended with something either sweet (like vanilla) or spicier (like almost any of the spice teas or chais) than it is when tasted alone. Rooibos Vanilla Chai is (as you might expect) a particularly nice pairing.
This tea is extremely bland. I'm glad it was my free sample because I would not have spent money on this...
Delicious. This sated my craving for something spicy and homey. Will order again
Not exactly what I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it!
I enjoy this tea. It's good when you want some spice, but you don't want to be overwhelmed by it. It's a cleaner spice taste than the oriental or the chai and it plays nicely with other flavors for blending.
The gingerbread flavor is fairly subtle, so if you prefer the black tea flavor to predominate in your desert teas, this one is for you. Like many other flavored teas, the ginger comes out more as the tea cools. I also find it is best not to brew at 212 as suggested. I always brew between 190 and 200 degrees with black teas to prevent bitterness.
I think I like this tea better blended with other teas than by itself. It has a nice warm spicy flavor that works well with other fruit flavored black teas.
Not too sure about this one. Despite the spices, it's actually quite mildly flavored and smooth, but I can't quite get over how much this reminds of a gingerbread candle...
This is a tea that tastes like gingerbread. 'Nuff said.
I like this tea. Reminds me of Christmas. Good changes.
From the bag, the smell is mouthwatering. You can tell the ginger is there and once brewed, it still comes through nicely, both on scent and on the tongue. It's a warm tea and with a little sweetness added, you really get the cookie/bread taste nicely. Very nice tea.
This tea tastes amazing, like winter cookies only in a hot beverage form - which is even better for the cold.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this tea! I'm not a huge fan of flavored black tea, but this one was perfect for the winter time - very cozy flavors. I liked it sweetened to bring out more of the ginger and spices.
It smells more like gingerbread then it tastes but it makes a nice addition to a blend if you are looking for warmth or depth.
Right out of the bag, this tea smells heavenly. But after steeping it seems to lose a lot of the flavor. I plan on trying with more than one teaspoon next time, but I get the feeling it won't help. I'm kind of disappointed that the taste isn't as strong as the smell, because it really does smell delicious
Tasted just like liquid cookies or biscoff, the delicious paste made from ground gingerbread cookies. Heavenly with milk and sugar.
I really liked this! I've mixed it with several teas, and it always adds a warm, spicy flavor.
well it has quite a nice flavour I would like it to be slightly stronger
This wasn't my favorite tea. I guess it wasn't as strong as I was expecting. I didn't dislike it though.
A very light flavored tea - nothing close to what I would call gingerbread. Black tea with a slight vanilla undertone is what I get - will finish but it won't be on my re-order list.
01/31/2013 I tried a sample this time and I must say it is much better!
When I first opened my bag of tea, I was nervous that the tea would be TOO ginger-y because the smell was overpowering. However, once brewed, it has a muted taste, and really doesn't taste like gingerbread at all. Mildly disappointed, but with honey, it doesn't taste all that bad. I will continue to experiment with brewing times (currently brewing at about 3.5 minutes).
One of my favorites of the holiday blends. A lovely spicy treat just like the real thing.
I can enjoy this tea anytime. It is especially nice around Christmas.
A new favorite, really does remind me of gingerbread. Has a tasty blend of spices and goes great with a bit of milk and sweetener of choice.
OK, I love gingerbread. It's perfect on a cold day to wamr you up. It smells fantastic in the bag and in the cup it tastes literally like Christmas.
Want to drink the holidays? I was thrilled to try the gingerbread tea just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
While I could taste the gingerbread, it wasn't strong enough for me. It was more of an aftertaste and I was looking for it to hit me full on from the first sip.
It's ok... Nice novelty to offer guests... I probably will not buy it again...
really good sweetened with milk although I have to say I don't like cookie flavored tea that much
I picked up this tea as a sample with my very first order from Adagio. I was ordering in the summer time so I saved this tea until Fall began. I found the gingerbread flavor to be a little too cloying for me. I don't think I'd repeat this one.
The flavor of this one is weaker than most of the flavored teas from Adagio. It didn't taste very gingerbread to me and I tried making it at a few different times and temps.
I was expecting this to be mediocre, as it's not a flavor you typically think of when you think tea. I was, however, pleasantly mistaken. This was a really tasty tea that didn't really need any additional sweetening.
