One of my first flavored teas. Reminds me of France where currant is used extensively as a flavoring in a large number of food items. Clean and refreshing. Way better flavor than Peet's Currant tea!
A classic combination. Smooth, deeply fruity currant flavor (similar to raisin) with bright Ceylon tea.

You can taste the current in this tea and i quite enjoyed it. Might be nice if mixed with something
Underwhelming flavor. Not more than a hint of berry. Don't think I'll be getting this tea again.
Taste is more like a mix of berries. Good, but nothing special
This flavor is pretty good, especially when your lying in bed and feeling really lousy. It s not exactly what I was expecting. However, I would probably buy it again sometime. Finally, I would recommend it to someone whom likes berry flavored teas. Lastly I will try this over ice...
I grew up with fresh red and black currant, so I know what they should taste like. This tea tastes more like raspberry or just small berry. It's not too strong, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
This is one tasty tea! Subtle fruitiness, good black tea.
This tea is splendid, but there is a bit of sharpness to it (not much). Milk smooths it out and a bit of honey brings out the currant flavor
A good fruity tea. Tasted a lot like raspberry to me, but that's probably just my inexperience with currants.
I love black currants and this tea reminds me of these berries.
Had a funny smell the first two times I made cups of tea but I got used to it.
This tea smells fantastic, but the tea has to steep for a while to get the currant flavor to shine. The tea starts to get bitter just as the currant gets strong.
Mildly flavored with a nice tang.
Goes well with other fruity teas
Love this tea anytime. It tastes like a local restaurant's, but I get to make it at home.
I was worried this would be too tart but it was perfect.
I always like currant tea. This tea was a pleasant surprise. Has a great flavor that is sure to a favorite. A good tea for anytime of day.
One of my new favorites! Taste really good! I drink it with a little bit of honey
I am CURRANT-ly drinking this tea as I write and I really enjoy it. It's not too sweet, and the flavor profile is simple. It remind me a bit of the lingonberry tea you can get at IKEA.
I wish the currant notes in this were a bit more pronounced. I just really miss all the black currant stuff available when I was in the UK, and I know that red and black currants have different flavors, but this one was just a bit too subtle for me.
A really nice currant tea. Not too tart. Reminds me of blackcurrant tea from my childhood in Russia.
Though the currant flavor didn't blow me out of the water, the smell was very pleasing and reminded me of tea time in England when I was a little girl. It's a great everyday tea.
*update*
I started adding cream and sugar to this and it really brings out the flavor. It's sweet and comforting and I kind of love it now. I don't really like to sweeten my teas but with some it's just necessary to bring out the flavor, and this is definitely one of them.
It's not bad but it's not catchy either. You just don't feel anything special about it. Just fine quality tea.
Subtle fruity currant flavor. Very refreshing iced. Just what I was looking for.
Tastes like tea with a subtle fruit taste. Great flavor!
This is one of my wife's favorites. We got a full pound and it's our go-to tea.
Tastes like fruit and has a caffeine kick. Needs sweetner, unfortunately.
Enjoyed it but would have liked more currant flavor to come through.
This tea isn't bad, but I was expecting more of a black currant flavor, not the dried, 'raisiny' kind...the photo of black currants and description of 'jammy' is a bit misleading.
I was hoping for a berry type infusion with some black tea flavor, but this one just tasted like a black tea with some minimal notes of fruit to it, not nearly enough to occupy the whole name like it does. It did not make a favorite list for us.
This one smells divine. I got this as a gift for my dad who loves currants and he really liked it.
This was a very tasty tea, with a light fruit flavor. Good both hot and iced.
Have been looking for an iced tea that tastes like the Egg Harbor iced tea. And I found it!! Tastes exactly like the Egg Harbor iced tea. This is definitely a winner in my book.
Nice black tea with just the right amount of currant flavor to let you know its there and differentiate itself from 'plain-o' black tea. I add a bit of honey and I seem to taste the currant a little more than if unsweetened.
My husband didn t find this to have a lot of currant flavor, but I did.
Good quality black tea with a present currant flavor
One of the better currant teas I ve had. Very jammy and fruity, though I prefer my tea more sour, so I just add some lemon juice
For me this lacked the intensity of currant flavor I have had in other teas of this type. As a die-hard fan of currant flavored things (Ribena!) I was a little disappointed. I found the blueberry tea to have more of the fruit-forward flavor I was looking for.
I am in between rating this a 3 or a 4. When brewed by package instructions, the currant flavor is somewhat lost. The flavor is there, but I had to let it come to room temperature to find it. I have a theory this would be really good as an iced tea. I may order another sampler to try this out, but as a hot winter tea, this isn’t anything special.
Yum! This tea is lovely iced. The flavor is very noticeable but not overpowering.
I love this tea. It reminds me of cozy nights by the fire, sipping a hot, fragrant beverage. Well rounded and not too strong.
I don't know if I would describe the flavor as currant, but there is a distinct berry flavor...on the first brew. On second brew it just has the generic Adagio black tea flavor that occurs on a lot of the Adagio flavored black teas. I will likely shop around for another brand of currant tea.
Tangy and black. A perfect fruity tea that isn't too sweet. I will order this again.
The currant flavor is pronounced and sweet, but it has the body of a black tea behind it. It doesn't taste like a straight raspberry/currant herbal tea, but I like that.
Jammy and a little reminiscent of wine. A perfect balance of flavor!
This is okay if you are looking for just a black tea flavor. I couldn't taste anything. It smelled really good though.
This tea is probably one of my top black tea blends from here. The deep, slightly sweet fruit notes of the currant plays so, so well with the black tea here. This is a very smooth tea, and my sister and I both really enjoy it! Definitely going on my 'keep' list.
A gift for a friend who says she really enjoys the currant flavor.
Deliciously berry flavored. If you like berries and black tea, this is a good one to try.
I have been looking for a good currant tea since my previous source quit selling tea. I’ve tried from several other vendors but they always fell short of my expectations, usually having a very artificial flavor. This currant tea from Adagio is delicious and I think I have finally found my new tea vendor!
Delicious! I love this tea. Definitely will be ordering more.
