This tea has a nice fruity taste. I’ve always liked Ceylon black tea when mixed with flavors, especially chocolate. I might mix this flavor with chocolate one day.
A classic combination. Smooth, deeply fruity currant flavor (similar to raisin) with bright Ceylon tea.

I didn’t care die this tea and I do love a lot of different black teas. It was bitter and I didn’t steep it too long. Just my opinion though. Not terrible, just wasn’t much flavor.
I went into this tea a little apprehensive, as I really don't like raspberry. Luckily, it's the leaves and not berries, so that flavor is not really there, though it does have a faint raspberry scent. I couldn't taste the currant much at all, though there is a faint flavor added to the tea, it doesn't stand out as either fruit. Not bad, not great, definitely wouldn't have sampled if it weren't in the CommuniTEA pack, and I won't be ordering it myself.
A nice black tea. Good for a morning tea break. I added a little cream and sugar to mine.
Not good, not bad. Just OK. I can taste the black tea, but the currant flavor is missing for the most part. There's nothing special about this blend.
First of all, it smells delicious. You want your whole house to smell like this. Once brewed though, it tastes of ...nothing. No currants whatever they are and no raspberries. I even looked up currants and apparently they are some kind of raisin or grape of which this tea tastes like neither. I tried again with milk and sugar and sweetness still did not come out so I was a wee bit disappointed with this one.
I love Ceylon. I used to have access to a very cravable homemade currant jam. This tea has missed the correct intersection of these two enjoyable flavors and left them detracting from one another. The result is an ok way to consume some caffeine, if somewhat bland.
As I drink LOTS of black currant tea, I wasn’t sure how different it would be to have a mix of currant types. However, this is delightfully fruity with a slight tartness.
There was no raspberry or current flavor. It was simply a strong cup of tea. Very disappointing.
This tea is delicious. The currant flavor compliments the black tea excellently. It's definitely going on my favorites list.
Let me start by saying I am not usually a fruity tea fan. That being said, I really enjoyed this tea. It tasted sunny and bright. A great way to start the day!
This is a lovely tea. Taste like a currant tea and a great tea to satisfy a berry fix.
Excellent berry flavor, good rich tea that I prefer to brew in the morning.
I was excited when I saw this tea. I love the Impra brand Blackcurrant tea, but I wanted a loose leaf tea. To be fair, if you like Ceylon tea with a prominent taste of raspberry leaf, this Adagio currant tea is exactly that. But, it does not have the currant smell or taste at all. At most, it could be described as a raisin smell. I went back and looked at the ingredients and found the following, 'Black Tea, Natural Currant Flavor & Raspberry Leaves.' If you are looking for a black currant tea, sorry, but this is not it.
Smooth and sweet. It reminds me a bit of raspberry but is more subtle. This has become one of my favorites.
This was bought as a gift, and the recipient loved it!
A slightly citrusy berry flavored tea. Caution- might curdle cream! Non-dairy recommended.
I didnt really like this one. The flavor was not that good
Pretty tasty! I got these as tea bags instead of loose leaf.
This tea is like a putting on a pair of cozy slippers in the morning. It has a complex fruity flavor with a quiet hit of black tea. It helps you wake up quietly. I drink it without milk or sugar and find that, for me, in the A.M. I like it dark and brew it a minute longer than recommended. It does not get bitter but a bit more punchy and floral. It is not at all a sweet tea. I drink it in rotation with English and Irish breakfast teas. My sister, who is mostly a sweet and milky coffee drinker, enjoys this tea with a little sugar and some milk.
This is a morning favorite. It has Just enough fruit and good tea flavor.
Rather light flavor, I overstepped to get more out of it, but that was all it had in it!
I serve this in the summer for a group of ladies that come to my home every week. This is their favorite flavored tea.
One of my favorite teas! It tastes delicious hot or even cold!
Like this, but the currant flavor is just a bit different than I expected. Worth another try
This is my absolute favorite for summer sweet tea. Fruity without being cloying. I slow steep at room temperature overnight. Brews up perfectly every time!
Very tasty as an iced tea. Fruity but not overpowering.
I expected a brighter flavor of black currant. But it is still good. I like this one hot with some milk in it.
This flavored tea by itself isn’t bad, but I think I don’t care as much for some of the teas that have unidentified flavors. I’m not sure if Adagio uses all natural flavors or artificial ones. Nevertheless I plan on using the more pungent currant to blend with some pur eh whose earthy flavor I’d like to cover up... feel like the results should be called ‘creature of the black lagoon’...
Update: in another posting Adagio said that all their flavorings are natural, good to hear!
I really love this one! It makes a nice iced tea too.
This tea does have a jammy taste. Its perfect for breakfast when you need a strong tea.
Wasn't sure if I liked currant when I got a sample of this tea. Turns out I'm not a huge fan. If you like currant flavor, this tea is for you.
This is a nice black tea with a hint of currant. I wish the currant flavor was stronger.
I am personally a huge currant fan! This tea was pretty great but I could have used a little more flavor!
This is my go to flavored tea. I use it year round to make iced tea. Just the right amount of currant flavor.
My favorite black tea. The currant flavor is strong, true to life, and sweet. A perfect dark tea!
I like this tea very much. I used it in a bland to recreate a kind of tea I had enjoyed before. The fruit flavor is strong. i think the smell is mostly from the raspberry. I have not tried it on its own yet.
good quality product, i wish it has more flavor. i added more fruit blust
I tried this iced and it mostly tastes like black tea - good black tea, but with very little currant flavor. I might need to try it again hot or sweetened to see if I can get more tart fruit flavor.
Tried it hot and it's a very nice smooth black tea but I still get very little fruit flavor. I think I might get more if it's sweetened, but that's just not really what I want out of this tea.
My favorite tea so far! Great with some honey and milk! Has become my morning tea everyday!
Jammy goodness in a cup. Not too sweet, and definitely tasty.
I was really looking forward to try this tea. Black tea with currant leaves was the best tea flavor of my childhood. I was a bit disappointed, because the flavor is very weak.
I love to blend this tea with other flavors, especially earl grey and almond. It has a great tart berry smell, but it’s not overpowering or sour. I love it!
Great taste, this has become my husband number 2 now, from Earl Gray.
Really good! I liked the addition of the raspberry leaves, it adds a nice flavor.
Kind of funky. I need to try brewing it at a lower temperature, I think, or add some sugar. Not my favorite tea, but I think that s just a matter of personal taste.
This tea was alright. I did not find the flavor as strong or pleasant as other berry black teas. I only could really drink it with sweetener to enjoy it.
My favorite Adagio tea! Fruity and rich, full bodied. Perfect for breakfast or anytime
My first review was not good for this tea. Since then, the tea must have changed. My husband drinks almost a gallon of it every two days. It is his absolute favorite. I like it very much too. Currant is a regular in our house.
Had a black current tea once before and had to give adagio's a shot. Will be tasty iced
