My husband loves currant tea, but this isn't his favorite. I agree it's not the BEST currant tea I've had, but is good!
A classic combination. Smooth, deeply fruity currant flavor (similar to raisin) with bright Ceylon tea.

My husband loves currant tea, but this isn't his favorite. I agree it's not the BEST currant tea I've had, but is good!
My current go-to morning tea. Robust and flavorful.
This was very different from the teas that I order, I tried it black, with Honey, Sugar, and with Cream and I would have to say that I enjoyed it best with some sugar and cream. Sometimes it is just what it needs to have the perfect cup of tea but I am not one to use a ton of creamer or sugar, as a matter of fact sometimes I drink it just as is depends on what flavors I am looking for that day. Some people may agree while others would prefer this tea black but I think this tea is most def a 5 star with the cream and sugar.
Awesome with sugar and a dash of half and half. Nice tea that isn't overly fruity.
Fabulous, great aroma. Nice and strong. Love this tea
I got this for my wife, but she said there wasn't enough flavor. I'm not really into currant as a flavor, but it was fine. Wouldn't buy again though.
I enjoyed it. Black currant has been a favorite of mine for a while.
I enjoy an early morning cup of currant tea blended with Assam. So good.
My favorite tea. I make into iced tea using my VelociTEA Tea Maker from Adagio. It's fruity but not overpowing.
Fruity and really flavorful. Love the hint of raspberry.
I was looking for something similar to Corner Bakery Cafe's black current tea. This is close. I add sugar and make it iced and it's pretty good. I would buy it again.
Rich full bodied flavor, but I would have enjoyed getting just a bit more currant to come through. However, it s lovely with sugar.
It's not awful, but it doesn't taste much different from plain Ceylon tea, and somehow always manages to be quite bitter no matter what time or temperature is used. Can't recommend it.
A perfect currant tea! I love pairing it with a cream or vanilla tea. Smooth and slightly tangy.
I love this very curranty flavored tea! Very fragrant and it invokes happy peaceful feelings.
Once you brew it, it's ok, smells nice too and goes with sugar and lemon well (an important factor for me). My disappointment is in the ingredients: black tea, natural currant flavor, raspberry leaves. Yes, raspberry, no typo -- are black currant leaves such a deficit?? Heck, I have a few black currant bushes in my backyard (and use fresh leaves in the summer) -- why a tea company cannot source some?? So, this is a synthesized flavor with raspberry leaves added for looks -- how does this make you feel?
This is fantastic! After drinking Earl Grey Bravo for several years and while it's great, I'm beginning to get tired of drinking it every day. I think this could be my next daily tea.
Just kind of meh. Not sure what I was looking for from a currant tea, but I won't order again.
Not overly fruity--somehow juicy and dry at the same time.
Not sure if it's a preference thing, but I could live without this tea. Wish it was a bit more fruity.
The currant tea is a favorite of the guests that come to our house. It is also my go to tea for breakfast when fruit is involved, especially huckleberry pancakes.
Tried this cold brewed, and it was really weak, tried this hot brewed then chilled and it is really good, the black tea really comes through, but my only issue was that I wish it was a bit more currant-y so it would come through more past the heavy black tea quality of the overall drink.
It's so difficult to get ahold of currant-anything in the US, so thank you for this. 'Jammy' is accurate; the lack of tartness makes this suitable hot or cold, and even plays well with a drop of dairy if you feel like it. The dry leaf in my batch was more finely chopped than I've come to expect from Adagio's usual, though.
Nice juicy fruit flavor. This makes a great iced tea.
Really quite nice! You can taste the slight currant on the first sip and then it mellows out. It adds a nice touch of sweetness to the ceylon taste. Will buy again!
Cold brewed for iced tea. Full sample pack into 1Q/1L of room temp water.
Really nice. The flavor is subtle but mingles with the tea perfectly. I've ordered this multiple times and will continue! Something about the subtlety of currant here is absolutely perfect with black tea.
Wonderful full flavor in this black tea without being too fruity.
Never received my order from Adagio and their customer service department was not helpful. I will not be purchasing anymore tea from them.
Good tea with a good aroma, but a little bit bold for me.
Tangy, sweet, flavorful. It was good, not overly sweet
I love currant flavored things so I was excited to try this. It makes a lovely iced tea.
It's a nice tea, subtle fruity flavor that gets more apparent on subsequent cups.
This is good tea, but a little underwhelming. I’ll drink it again but it’s not in my regular rotation.
Lovely. I was hoping this would be more black currant in terms of flavor (as that’s what I was craving at the time) but it’s true currant.
Really good flavor! I’m not often into flavored teas but this is pretty good.
Wonderful tea! Smooth, sweet and light. Not too strong currant flavor - just enough to taste the sweet notes.
Definitely one of my go to teas. Its fresh and the aroma is amazing.
A good black tea but missing currant. I was expecting more fruit flavor, but instead it was minimal. A good tea, but missing the currant that I was looking for.
Pretty decent. Might do better as an iced tea. Got this to mimic a tea from a tea room where I used to live, and does make an alright substitute.
Years ago my father-in-law made me a cup of black currant tea. I loved it and have looked for it in stores since then. I was thrilled to find this flavor, and I love it. This is definitely a flavor I will order again.
it's ok, there is a fruity taste but it doesn't seem to be currant
I love currant tea but was rather disappointed by this batch. It isn't as fruity as I'm used to and seems to change flavor considerably each time I drink it.
My mom loves this tea, especially poured over ice!
I had currant tea in a variety holiday tea gift set years ago and I could never find any in stores. I was delighted when I saw Adagio carried the flavor. Just as refreshing as I remember.
This was very good as an iced tea. The currant flavor was just right.
I liked this tea, but didn't love it. The leaves smelled amazing, but a good deal of that delicious smell and any accompanying taste was gone as soon as the hot water hit. The balance between the tea leaves, fruit leaves, and fruit were too heavily weighted to the tea leaves in my opinion. That kind of dulled the shine a bit for me. I would be curious to try it as an iced tea, however. It might be refreshing that way. In the end, I enjoyed it well enough. It just wasn't all that exciting to me.
I loved this! The taste of the currant shines through with just the right amount of tang and fruitiness. This was a perfect cup of tea.
Loved the fruity smell and enjoyed the smooth taste and i am not normally a fan of fruity teas
I liked it a lot. Nice very fruity smell. I brewed just as label said using hot water from my Breville Tea Maker and teapot I got on Adagio. Brewed 212 for 3 minutes. Nice cup. Not bitter. Just a nice currant taste.
Good flavor--a hint of currant, nearly gets drowned out by the raspberry but still present. Pretty similar to other berry black teas Adagio offers, though.
