This is a very 'earthy' tea. It's not light and fruity like some of the other flavored ones. It has a good richness that holds up to cream and sugar. There is a hint of chocolate and raspberry as well.
A classic combination. Smooth, deeply fruity currant flavor (similar to raisin) with bright Ceylon tea.

A slightly naturally sweet black tea. It's a nice accompaniment to desserts or sweet breakfasts, like cinnamon rolls.
I found this tea to be just a little boring. Not bad, just blandish. I am unfamiliar with currants, so perhaps I simply don't know what I am supposed to be tasting :) After 3 or 4 cups, it is just sitting on my shelf, forlorn, waiting for an advocate.
So far, a family favorite.I gave it to my mom as a gift and made her make some for us all.
This is one of my grandson's
It is good hot but I like it as an iced tea even better.
Love this tea. Great for Iced and not overly sweet.
Smells delicious, and I like the fact that it's not overly flavored.
If you like to have tea with your cookies this is great. Currant always seems so 'warm'
A marvelous robust tea. Always makes me think of high summer.
The scent of the tea was good, the tea itself painfully average. If you are going to buy tea, stick to the unflavored - they have amazing quality.
I love the flavor, would love to see black currant offered.
Super favorite of all the teas I have gotten so far. Not too fruity, plenty of black tea taste, not too sweet - I love it.
This tea is not a sweet as other makers have made. Still it is not a bad tea. Just not as memorable.
This has become my go-to tea for iced tea. I have enjoyed several liters so far making this as hot brewed iced tea. The currant flavor is spot on, the ceylon base has an assertiveness to it. Very enjoyable!
A great flavored tea for a chilly day or for a sore throat. The currant berry doesn't seem to be well known in the states but it is a great tart berry and makes for great tea.
Too strong on its own, but adds a delightful flavor when mixed with other black teas.
Great! The currant flavor is berry and a little "woodsy", and balances nicely with the black tea. Not as tart as some currant flavors.
I really like the slightly sweet flavor of this tea. It has become one of my favorites. It is bracing and I love a good cup of black tea in the evening.
One of the worst tasting teas when oversteeped (not really a a con though, but I can usually still drink the tea even if I steep it too long and it's bitter), but I think it's pretty great tasting tea. Only thing keeping it from receiving a better rating, is how much more I like some of the other flavors..
Not a strong currant flavor, but delicious anyway. Excellent iced, too!
I really like currant tea. This one was a little bitter but I may have overbrewed, will try again with a little less brew time. The currant flavor is a little understated for me, but a good tea nonetheless.
Never had anything currant, so I did not know what I was getting into. This is very good. I think I steeped it a bit too long, but still good. I must try other currant-type things now.
I love this tea! The flavor is great - hot or cold!
Very nice flavor, I love currant. Rarely things are flavored with currant here in the States so its nice to get some of the good flavoring in a black tea.
I have had current before as hot tea but I do not think I will every have it again it tasted like old leather made me fill sick
Perfect currant flavor and one of my favorites. The currant was just enough to taste but not overwhelming or too sweet.
This is my hands down favorite for iced tea. I've shared this with lots of people and everyone loves it.
This currant tea is better balanced then most currant teas I've had in the past. It's still clearly a black tea, but the currant flavor is definitely there, without tasting fake. It never fails to take me back to my time in Prague, where currants are everywhere.
I loved this tea the most out of the ones I ordered. I had been looking everywhere for a good currant tea, and I found it. It has a wonderful aroma and flavor. Not really like currants, but it's still good.
Interesting, kind of sweet, kind of tart, kind of like currants but not quite. Then again; it's tea, not berries, so it's not shocking that it's a little off. By off I don't mean it's icky, just not what currants actually taste like. More like the concept of currants, I suppose.
Regardless, I dog it, and drink it, and recommend it, especially in blends.
I enjoy a cup of the currant tea in the morning. I have tried other brands where the currant flavor is a little stronger, and I think I prefer this one.
A bit tricky to get perfect, and even then not my favorite. Might pick up another sampler, but not more than that.
Way too bitter. I've never had a currant, but I would imagine they don't taste like this.
Very nice flavor, not too heavy or sweet. Love it!
Mmmm. This was tasty. Fruity, but not too sour. A lovely flavor to blend with others.
I have to admit that I've decided after this one that I'm not going to do flavors again. The base tea used for these doesn't agree with my stomach very much. The taste is okay, but it's nothing special. It doesn't really taste so much like real currants though.
Currant tea is one of my all-time favorites, so I was excited to try Adagio's currant tea. Unfortunately, I just didn't like this one. I found it to be too bitter, and sugar and milk don't help too much. The other currant teas I've used have been a bit tart but not bitter.
I love black currant and this blend was wonderful! I will purchase it again!
This one is not my favorite but it is not bad either. It is an unusual flavor, but I have never had a currant before
I have reordered this already - it's got a mild flavor if you like flavored black teas, just enough to taste but it's not like some teas that taste like fruit juice because the flavor is so strong. Great for a cold winter morning!
I don't know if I have ever actually eaten a currant, but none the less I purchased some of this tea because it sounded interesting. I was so surprised at the delicioius flavor that I bought a bigger tin and shared with my friends. Very good 'berry' tea, brews up with that traditional 'berry' smell.
I fully enjoyed this tea. I may have let it steep too long, but I do enjoy my tea to be strong.. Wonderful taste. highly recommended.
Great tea! I was a little skeptical about this one, but the flavor is perfect.
A favorite breakfast tea, just lightly fruity, and great with milk and honey!
My favorite morning beverage. I drink it black, as it is already has just enough flavor and needs nothing more.
I didn't realy care for this tea. Normally I enjoy the flavor of currant, but in this case it was too sharp and overwhelming. If you like the herbal fruit teas and want to try a black one, this might qualify, but I think I'll stick to the flavors that blend a little better in a black.
I love currant, but in the United States it is a hard flavor to find. I love it! Definitely worth the sample if you want to try something new.
Currant flavor isn't very strong- it really just gives it a mild fruity flavor. Not what I wanted or expected.
great tasting flavor tea. it has a subtle berry flavor thats perfect with honey
