I didn't like this one much at all unfortunately. funny smell and taste.
A classic combination. Smooth, deeply fruity currant flavor (similar to raisin) with bright Ceylon tea.

I didn't like this one much at all unfortunately. funny smell and taste.
This one has a nice fruity taste also. I preferred it not brewed too long.
The currant blends well with the tea. Combines well with other black teas.
This is a good, solid, currant tasting tea. I don't really like it on its own, but mixed with other teas I think I will. It's very strong though, and easily bittered. I found it more pleasant when mixed with cream, personally. But definitely a good idea if you're a fan of tart, fruity teas.
A long time ago, I came across a fantastic currant tea. A currant tea that is no longer available in my area, and I've long been looking for a replacement.
Had I found this one first, I never would have looked anywhere else. Perfectly flavored.
Very different from what I am use to. It is very well-- berry tasting! Like jam but a bit more tart in some ways. I like it just as is with no milk or added sugar unless I let it steep for too long. I tacked on an extra minute just to make sure to really get the taste like the smell. I need more fruity teas in my shelf, they taste even better cold.
This is a simple, nice, full-bodied tea: the currant flavor is nice but neither strong nor overpowering, and meshes incredibly well with the black tea. It's fruity, but not overpoweringly so, and not overly sweet. It also makes for a good mixing tea. Overall, I'm very pleased I tried this, and would definitely get it again.
Very good black tea blend with enough currant to flavor but not to overwhelm. Nice for the occasional flavored tea.
I'm not a huge fan of this on its own but I really liked it blended with the vanilla oolong, it really smoothed it out and left it with a great flavor. On its own it was a little bitter for me.
A mild among the Flavors, but excellent as a change-of-pace option for a refreshing ice brew.
Nice and rich flavor, fruity but dry, with an interesting oaky note.
It isn't the best thing I've ever had, but it isn't horrible. I don't actually know what currants are supposed to taste like, but it smells like berries and tastes a bit stronger.
Fruity without being overly sweet. It's good, I like it, but it's something I only want to drink by the cup. If I make a whole pot I find myself getting bored with it.
The smell is good, and so is the taste. I'd probably like it a lot more if I hadn't been eating muffins while drinking it. XD
Maybe my batch was off, but this tea tasted completely wrong. Like the leaves were burned or something, or the currant flavoring was bad. It was weird, and I did not enjoy it at all. May try again someday, though, cause it could have just been a bad sample.
Dry and fruity without sweetness. I'm not familiar enough with currants to say whether or not the taste is accurate, but I do love the simplicity of this one.
This tea was okay. I could not taste the currant very much, but it did not taste bad.
For me, this tea lands at the perfect intersection between jammy sweetness and something a little sharper, almost reminiscent of wine. The scent of the tea leaves is so pleasurable! It plays well with other teas, as well.
Smells very much like raisins and I was a little nervous to try it, but it was good. Very good iced!
Adding sugar brought out an artificial tang, like the flavoring used in cough syrups. I found that I preferred to let this tea rest and then drink it iced, rather than drink it hot or freshly brewed. Drinkable, but never going to be my 'go to' tea.
This currant tea had an odd little flavor that sort of reminded me of black currant-flavor cough drops from the UK. Not terrible, but not what I want in a tea. I agree with a previous reviewer who said that adding sugar made it taste more artificial. Won't be a rebuy for me.
I bought this tea for my mom and my grandmother, both of which absolutely love this flavor in all types of food. They couldn't have been more pleased with the flavor and love drinking it at all times of the day.
This is a nice, uncomplicated tea. I've had it both unsweetened and sweetened, and it is good both ways. Adding sugar makes it taste a little artificial, like a hard candy.
This was an okay, basic tea on its own, but it's not anything special and I won't drink it by itself again. I do look forward to mixing it with some sort of cranberry flavors to see how that comes out, though, to see if it's any better blended.
This one was a bit different than I expected but still yummy. I would order this one again.
I thought this is a great tea, but i don't really like it on it's own. I usually add this to an herbal tea for an intense flavor. it has more of a 'hearty' taste (that's the only word i can think of for it). its good but i can't handle it solo
This is an interesting tea. I was not impressed until I added a little cream, which really improved the experience. Not an everyday tea, but I would definitely serve it to guests who would enjoy a unique tea.
I absolutely love this tea! Very sweet even with Splenda (well, the Target version I got) and I downed my cup in minutes! The description fits perfectly! I only got a sample but once I have a bit more in my budget, I will order the teabags!
I didn't really know what to expect with this one: I tried steeping it for just a little bit of time, then a lot of time, then with milk, sugar, cream, and various combinations. None of them appealed to me. Might just be me, not the tea, but I'm not a big fan of this one. :(
A good black tea that I can taste a slight fruity note to it. To me the currant takes the astringent edge off of the tea it's self.
This is very nice. Subtle and fruity, with that nice 'jamminess'. I like it!
This tea is good, but not unusual. It's one of adagio's nice black teas with a little pop of tartness which I can only assume is the currant. Not very berry fragrant, or overpowering. Subtle and tart. Not bad.
Pleasant but not amazing. Has a nice fruity aroma. The currant flavor is good, just faint.
It had a very savory dry (in that good wine way) taste that made it a very pleasurable evening drink.
There's just enough sweetness in the tea to draw out the currant flavor.
I'm not sure how else to describe this tea other than subtly plummy. It's definitely an acquired taste, and possibly best consumed iced to best enjoy the sweetness of the currant.
I originally tried brewing it for 5 minutes at 212. It tasted so bitter, and was truly revolting. I lowered the time down to 3 minutes and the temperature to 175, and it was much better. Better, but still not that good. It's got a... soapy undertone. It smells DELICIOUS when it's brewing, but in my mouth, my expectations landed face-first in disappointment. Kind of boring and synthetic tasting. Glad I only bought a sample.
As others have stated it's just a bland blend. If steeped for only three minutes you can somewhat detect currants but any longer and you've essentially got a cup of black tea. Great black tea, mind you, but just black tea.
Currants have been one of my favourite things since childhood, and I will as a rule try currant-flavoured just about everything. This tea is a great addition to the collection -- the taste is natural and not too sweet, and this makes a great tea for blending as well.
This was nothing special. A decent black tea with some flavor. But it didn't scream currant and was actually a little bland. It was just ok for me. And the second steep was weak.
Good, but not great. I was hoping this would taste like grapes, but it doesn't. I would recommend using this as a flavor enhancer to other teas.
One thing I remember from my Croatian roots is eating currant, which often grows in the wild. I haven't been there in a few years but this tea brought me right back. Interestingly enough there are some minty tones to this tea which reminds me of currant-flavored Orbit gum, which I also had while I was there. Well I'm certainly biased about this flavor which is nearly nonexistent in the US but I like this tea a whole lot.
I honestly love this tea. I drink it almost every day. I'm running out of it. I may need to order more soon...
No currant taste at all. Has the same taste as all of their flavored teas.
This is a good tea. Be careful not to over steep it.
Purchase this time on whim, and have come to really enjoy the fruitiness of the currant flavor and the natural black tea flavor that comes from Ceylon teas
This tea has a sweet, dark flavor. It's not quite as intense as I would like, but it's a lovely tea all the same.
I bought this tea for my mother, who had currant iced tea at a local restaurant and loved it. I've had a cup warm and found it to be pleasantly deep- there are several layers of flavour that seem to unfold with every sip, especially with the addition of honey. I look forward to iced currant tea in summer!
Absolutely delicious, but a little flat compared to other currant teas. Still, it's a great blend of warm black tea flavor with jammy overtones.
It's a unique flavor and smell something like raisins. Never had currant that I know of so can't compare it to the real thing.
