A classic combination. Smooth, deeply fruity currant flavor (similar to raisin) with bright Ceylon tea.

A little tart but I love it tart. Very tasty will definately purchase in the future.

★★★★☆

A rich black berry tea, brimming with sophisiticated sweetness and perfect for dunking biscuits. I made mine with a bit of wildflower honey and a splash of almond milk.

I've had mixed success brewing a palatable cup with this blend, even with a short brew time this tea comes across as quite bitter to me.

This tea is fantastic! It's quite sweet and I think it's become one of my go-to teas.

★★★★☆

Aren't there some type of spirits that use currant? Absolut maybe? Anyways i have no idea what currant tasted like, nor do I now, but I expected a berry taste. The flavor of the tea was deeper. Very satisfying when iced and sweetened with brown sugar. Slight aftertaste.

★★★★☆

Maybe not for everyone, but it tastes like a lightly perfumed full bodied ceylon. Really good.

I really like this one. Its very similar to the blend I was served at the Russian Tea Room in Chicago. Tasty with milk or plain.

★★★★☆

This enigmatic tea, knit with lusty tendrils of black currant lurking beneath fragrant depths, captures the sight of those who linger too long. The original tea leaves: they portend lush berries, black and round as a crow's eye, all-seeing, lifting the veil of our assumptions, transforming understanding. One does not drink this tea but deeply.

The currant flavor is very weak. If you didn't know what you were looking for, you probably wouldn't notice anything except just a hint of a 'berry' flavor. I probably won't order this again, but I might use it in blends for a subtler flavor.

Currant tea needs a little extra added to get full flavor. The aroma is great.

A good current tea is hard to find, so I was happy to find this. It is smooth and not too fruity. A very nice afternoon cup, especially with a good book on a grey day.

This tea is one of the best black teas that I have ever had. This is coming from a white tea drinker that hates the bitterness of the slightest astringent black tea. The currant flavor is really there and tastes beautiful with or without sugar added to it.

★★★★★

This is a very smooth, well balanced, fruity blend. It drinks well hot, but is excellent over ice -- especially on a hot summer day. My go to wake me up in the morning tea.

It had a sweet taste to it, not cloyingly sweet at all, but there was a definite berrylike flavor to it. Almost raisiny, actually, that sort of taste! Very good, and will drink and blend with!

★★★☆☆

It is ok. The black tea is a good quality. However, I didn't feel or taste currants at all. Would not buy again.

★★★☆☆

Not a very distinct currant taste--though perhaps I was hoping for black currant, not just currant.

Currant is one of my favorite black tea blends and this one is fine example of the style. I'll definitely be buying more.

★★★★★

I brewed this tea in my Keurig machine, and it was delicious!

★★★☆☆

Not overly impressed, but nice currant flavour is present.

I really like currant tea in general. It is nicely fruity. I was a little concerned, as Adaigo's Cranberry tea is quite tart and not to my liking, but the Currant is very tasty.

★★★★☆

This tea tastes pretty good! It's not what I was expecting, and it's not like my Twinings, but I will definitely drink it!

★★★★★

This is a very good black currant tea! Excellent currant flavor and tastes a little citrusy.

I've had two currant teas, one a bit too fruity and this one. This trees falls under the 'not fruity enough' category but as other reviewers have said, it is very mellow and fragrant -- very good as an afternoon tea.

So, I have never had actual currants before, as they don't grow here. That being said, this tea is very good! Fruity, with a flavor somewhere between blueberry and raisin. Is that what currants are supposed to taste like? No clue. But it's still a nice tea.

I've tried a few currant teas and this one has a generally pleasant taste, though it's not one of the stronger ones I've had. It's still very nice though, a good fruity tea that's not overly sweet. It smells a lot stronger in the bag!

Again, my taste for tea may not be refined and educated enough yet but I don't really get a current flavor from this. Is ok.

I've been looking for a really good currant tea for about 10 years now. I tried one I loved from World Market, then they stopped carrying it. I've been looking for a similar one ever since, usually ending up disappointed by the tea being way too fruity and not the mellow, smooth taste I was looking for. Then I tried this tea, and it's absolutely perfect! Not too fruity, just right, absolutely delicious.

So happy to have found this. A very jammy, fruity tea. Currant isn't a flavor you find often in the U.S. but it's a good one.

★★★★★

This is a great tea blend! The currant flavor is nice. This is definitely one of my favorite fruity tea blends, but I would say blackberry is my favorite.

It is nice and fruity. I love it. I love tea. Thank you Adagio.

★★☆☆☆

Too fruity for my taste. Smelled and tasted like cough syrup.

Good scent. The flavour is a little like berries, and somewhat like raisins.

Definitely tastes like a slightly tart jam! It has a subtle pucker to it, but has a nice fruity overtone. I'm still getting used to the flavor of this tea, though.

This has become my go to afternoon tea. Nice and juicy with very little bitterness. I'm just getting into fruit teas and this has been a great addition to my tea selection.

★★★★☆

nice currant flavor, not overly strong, but not subtle either.

★★★☆☆

Tasted like lightly flavored black tea to me. Weak

★★★★★

nice tea with full flavor, its remind me when grams add real leaves to black tea

★★★☆☆

Normally, I really like black currant tea, but this one didn't have the 'right' tone for my taste. It wasn't bad, just not as good as I was expecting.

★★★☆☆

Not a tea I would purchase again, but it had an interesting flavor.

★★★☆☆

This was a pleasant tea, but it didn't taste like currants to me. Instead, I think the raspberry leaves dominated. Disappointing since I was hoping for a strong currant flavor, but other people in my household loved the tea and made off with the packet, so it is not going to go unappreciated.

This tea is ok, it is not tangy like real currants. I decided to give this tea a try and ordered a sample. I still thin it should be tangier

Pleasant.mild, relaxing. Nice comfort tea on a dreary day.

★★★★☆

One of my go-to teas. I like to add rose petals to it.

★★★★☆

This is best with a little bit of sugar or sweetener to bring out the currant flavor.

★★★★☆

Nice and fruity. Some times I mix it with the chocolate blend

★★★★★

great hot or iced. sweet jammy flavor with a bit of spice

★★★★★

This is a nice, sweet tea with a bit of a bite to it. It's great to drink on those grey days when you just need something to help wake you up more.

★★★★☆

This tea is lovely. It has a round, mellow, sweet flavor that I like. Taken straight, the currant flavor is present but subdued. Adding a little sugar brightens the berry up a bit making it more jammy. I steeped the leaves a second time with less water than the first time and I could still taste the berry tones. I really enjoy this tea black and hot, but I'm betting it will make an amazing sweetened iced tea in the summer!
