Tart and tangy to the max with an underlying and light cranberry flavouring. It's more of an overall mouthpuckering than it is of cranberries, with a smooth sweetness that's overwhelmed by the nearing sour notes. Reminded me more of what a sour candy cranberry taste would be than an actual cranberry.

I would say this tea was just ok for me. It tasted more like a raspberry tea which I'm not that big on to begin with. The sweet and tart didn't balance out for me.

the cranberry flavor wasn't that strong and overall was just meh.

November 21st, 2022 communiTea. My packet didn’t have any cranberries in it (apparently this is a common thread with the communiTea packets), and mainly tastes of black tea with a sharp tart raspberry taste. I’m not a big fan of raspberry or sharp tart… or bitter, and so this tea just isn’t for me.

The aroma is more enticing than the flavor, and it is appropriate for Thanksgiving week. The flavor, though, is dominated more by the tea and a noticeable bitterness. There is a fruity/cranberry flavor, but it seems more a supporting actor rather than the main lead. I don't find the black tea unpleasant, but I think some people will expect a stronger cranberry component and more acidity/less bitterness.

This was an interesting and tasty blend, though I'm not sure I'd purchase it again. The flavor of cranberry came through nicely when I added some sugar, and it never came across as bitter, but it didn't really have much complexity either. That's not a bad thing overall, but I think if I had add some sort of spice to the blend it would have left more of an impression on me. 3 mins @ 195°F

The cranberry flavor is not very strong. This does have a bitterness but still drinkable

212 degrees for 3 minutes. This mildly tart tea tastes better with a bit of honey. The cranberry flavor is light, but pleasant and the tea is just a bit astringent. Overall, a nice fruity fall beverage.

This is a bit tart for me, but I’m impressed they got a good approximation of cranberry without going over into cough syrup territory.

I've had this hot and thought it was alright, so this time I decided to try it cold. The fruity flavors are definitely more pronounced when it's cold, but you end up loosing the tart cranberry in favor for the raspberry leaves. It ended up being pretty sweet, which wasn't bad but I do wish the tart cranberry was still there. When I had this hot, the cranberry flavor was more pronounced but there was a slight sour flavor that came with it. To be honest for a cranberry tea this isn't the best one I've had; it's not a bad tea, just not one that's bursting with straight cranberry flavor.

Brewed per instructions. Tried before adding 2 packets of splenda. Was horrible. Tried after adding 2 packets of splenda. Was still kind of bad but tolerable. Very overrated imo from reviews I read. I did not like but that's just me.

UPDATED 11-21-22: Today's CommuniTEA is Cranberry (flavored black tea). I honestly struggle with finding a way to make this tea that I truly, thoroughly enjoy. The raspberry leaves are too strong and leave an unpleasant aftertaste. The cranberry flavor is too easily overwhelmed. I've even tried honeys and they can't make the tea palatable for my tastes. So unfortunately, I have taken away a star and I would now say I do not recommend this tea.

ORIGINAL: I brewed my Cranberry (black tea) hot with some extra raspberry leaves and black tea honey. It was okay. I personally don't always like how the raspberry leaves interact with the tannins in black teas, but this one wasn't bad. I would recommend this tea!

This tea was surprisingly good. The aroma out of the package had me worried it would taste too tart or sour-bitter, because the smell was strong and reminiscent of cold medicine. The cranberry is delicate though and the overall flavor was gentle. It was more cranberry on the nose than on the tongue, and I kind of prefer it that way. A warming brew for a cold day. I wonder how this would taste as a cold brew…

This is a good blend - I was impressed with the strong cranberry flavor throughout, despite cranberries usually having a mild flavor. However, this tea is still quite astringent, and the raspberry leaves make this blend taste a bit artificial. I wouldn't order this tea, but for a cranberry black tea, it was well done.

This has a ok cranberry flavor, but the bitterness of the black tea is stronger. (212F for 3min)

Updated review 11/21/22 I am still not sure this tea tastes like cranberry because I expect a bit of tartness and there isn't any. I appreciate it for a strong black tea with pleasant flavoring. I raised it up a star. I forgot to add orange like I mentioned in my previous review. Oh well, maybe next time.

I am not sure this tea actually tastes like cranberry. Seems more like a strong black tea without much added flavor. I did brew at a lower temp and for a shorter brewing time to avoid bitterness. If I have this again, I am going to add some orange.

This is a good basic black tea enhanced with the tartness of cranberry. It is pretty much what you would expect and nothing more. Expect some bitterness from the black tea if over-steeped. A three minute steep time, unsweetened, produced a slight, but not unpleasant, bitterness typical of black teas.

Steeped: 212/3 w/ 6 fresh cranberries

The aroma was simply amazing opening the pouch. I felt a little let down by the lack of luster when I took a sip. I am not a big black tea fan. Maybe I let it steep to long??? Next cup I will use a timer.

CommuniTEA 11/21/22: This was so bad I took one sip and threw it down the drain. I'm not sure if it was the raspberry leaves or the cranberry flavor, but it tasted like acetone. I did not have any cranberries in my packet.
Just couldn't drink this one.

A nice and festive tea. I do get plenty of cranberry and black tea taste. Cranberry really works well with the bitterness of black tea and neither flavor is dominant. I prefer other Adagio flavored black teas but I would get this again for the holiday season.

Well, I almost gave this tea two stars, but I can't say it is bad (however, my husband would). It has a sour smell to it that is quite off-putting to him. I didn't dump it, but it didn't taste like cranberry to me. The scent from the packet was bubblegum. There were no cranberries in my packet. The taste was just odd. I brewed a cup of Cranberry that I have from another vendor and it definitely tasted like cranberries and there was a big cranberry among the tea leaves. Sorry, Adagio, but you missed the mark on this one. I brewed it at 195 for three minutes. Did not do a second steep.

This is an update from the previous review dated 11/24/2021. Now that I've tried cranberry nut muffin green tea, I prefer the newer one over today's Communitea. It is a little tart for me, but I can proudly say that this is the only cranberry food I'll consume this week. This is coming from a person who loaves cranberry sauce in a can. I will proudly drink this.

Delish...some reviewers mentioned a cocoa or chocolate taste, but I detected none. Not listed in the ingredients, so I'm hoping it is only from the combination of flavors. Very nice with a few dried cranberries and a piece of orange rind added to second steep. Tart and delicious. Update: If there was a 6 rating, this one would get it!

This is a nice black tea. The cranberry flavor is subtle but tastes natural and not synthetic as cranberry often can. Don't oversteep or you lose the cranberry.

Classic tea with classic cranberry flavor. The perfect accompaniment to thanksgiving dinner, or nearly any time. It definitely wants orange-cranberry scones on the side.

In the bag: Mostly the thin, brittle, black leaves of Ceylon. A few dark brown tea stems. Scattering of dark green raspberry leaves, finely chopped. No cranberry pieces.

On the nose (pre-steep): Blend of raspberry and cranberry. Slightly sugary, like candied berries or confectioner's sugar. Medium intensity.

On the nose (post-steep): Cran-raspberry blend is still the main flavor. The sugary note lingers in the background, but is much more subtle. No Ceylon aromas. Medium intensity.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Taste is balanced between cran-raspberry and Ceylon. Not sweet. Slight astringency. Straightforward.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change other than the berry notes being a bit more noticeable on the front of the tongue.

Opinion: A decent tea, though not amazing. The fruit is quite subtle and easily overwhelmed by bitterness. Sweetener is a must to showcase the berry. Be careful not to over steep to avoid astringency.

The sun was shining
When Cranberry went walking
Off to the bookstore

He was browsing books
When he heard some muttering,
“You don’t need them all”

He turned the corner
Raspberry had a tall stack
“What should I put back.?.”

“None!” said Cranberry
“I shall buy half, and we’ll share!”
A friendship was born!

To this day they read
As they make us up this tea!
To sip while we read!

After years of coffee consumption at breakfast, I've switched to Adagio's Cranberry Tea. Love the flavor and that there's no lingering after taste. Great way to warm up after coming in from the numerous cold fronts we've been experiencing

I'm not a particular cranberry fan, but I have nothing against them either; just not big on berries. Some adagio black flavors you have a to brew for 3 minutes at ~190 or else they just taste like plain 'ol black tea. This one tastes better at a full boiling for 5, as cranberry is a pretty strong taste, and it actually blends well with the black tea to tone down the sourness some. It reminds me of some mixed-local-berry herbal tea I got as a gift from Newfoundland, but much smoother.

Nice cranberry finish. Not too tart. Need to watch the time though as too long of a steep leads to a bitter taste. One of my favorite cranberry blends. I have enjoyed it through a second season and like it even more.
