Dry aroma smells like coconut scented sunscreen. I brewed this hot then after cooling I poured it over ice and added sweetener. For me the coconut flavor tastes artificial and stands too far apart from the tea itself. It’s not horrible but I much prefer other black tea coconut blends to this one.

Coconut
Recommended Steep: 3 minutes @ 212°F
I steeped it for 3 minutes @ 190°F in order to stave off potential bitterness from the black tea, in approximately 11 oz of water with 1.5 tsp of rock/tea sugar.
Adagio is making me rethink my relationship with black teas.
The first thing I noticed upon opening the package was a very strong coconut aroma which remained while it steeped. It smells almost like an almond joy candy bar. Black tea and one coconut flake could be seen in my little infuser basket. Upon sipping a moderately pronounced coconut flavor was apparent with black tea in the background, but not enough to make the tea bitter. It is a smooth tea. I think this blend would be super with a splash of almond or vanilla almond milk.
I am truly surprised how much I enjoyed this tea. It was not bitter and did not upset my stomach as many black teas do and I did not need to eat anything with it to ensure my stomach remained happy. This is just a very smooth, very coconut-y black tea which reminds me of an Almond Joy or Mounds candy bar. Yum! There is a very slight aftertaste, but nothing unpleasant. On the wish list this one goes. 5 stars.

This tea has a wonderful flavor. The coconut was not over powering and gave a smooth taste in the palette.

Not being a fan of coconut, this tea ranks for me about where I expected it to. It does have the smooth creaminess of coconut, and the black tea flavor is pleasant. If coconut is you thing, I imagine you’ll love this.

I really like this one. The coconut is perfect. The Black tea still stands out. This is made with a really yummy black tea. Ceylon is pretty good. This was a pleasant surprise. Could be steeped a 2 times as well.

This delightful tea is a trip to the islands with the sea breezes swaying the coconut palms. It’s versatile. Hot or cold, with sweetener or plain, with cream or a dash of coconut milk, with boba beads or without, mixed with a chocolate tea, for breakfast or dessert, you cannot go wrong with this amazing, not-subtle coconut-flavored blend. It is caffeinated but by the time I get to evening, it doesn’t matter because I’ve already had 6 cups! If you love coconut, meet your new favorite tea!

This is a very flavorful tea by itself and really can perk up other teas. I just reordered this to make iced tea when it gets warmer.

Decent flavor. Coconut flavor is mild but still noticable.
Uncertain if the large coconut chips add anything. They are 2-4 cm in length so very hard to keep consistency unless making a large batch.
Leaf size is small so keep steep time low too avoid excessive tannin extraction.

I'm a coconut fan, so I love this tea. I sometimes add some to my Thai Tea. The extra coconut and black tea makes it a bit stronger and richer.

This tea is absolutely delicious hot and I cannot wait to try it iced. I’m actually really looking forward to cold steeping it because I feel like a lot of different flavors will come out that way. I will edit my review when I try this again colt

Coconut flavors are strong and creamy throughout this sip, balanced beautifully with malty black tea flavors. A classic combo very well done - one of my very favorites.

This tea smells so good and tastes good too! It has a great coconut flavor. I steeped this at a lower temperature and added a teaspoon of honey to bring out the coconut more, and a little bit of heavy cream to make it creamier.

This tea is a nice start to the day. You have to be careful not use too much and not brew it too long so it won’t get bitter. The quality and freshness is very nice.

Definitely one of my favorite coconut flavored teas. Lovely with honey!

I don't really taste any coconut, but it's good to mix in when I'm running low on thai chai

It’s on. Wish there was more coconut flavor but I suppose it might then be overpowering. I can always add coconut pieces on my own. I bought this as well as the pineapple one to mix together to make a pina colada.

I have been on a chocolate coconut kick lately, and so ordered a sampler of this tea to try out in various blends. It is a winner! It is smooth and blends beautifully. My favorite concoction currently is a blend of this coconut tea, chocolate tea, and a tiny bit of cream tea, with a few mini chocolate chips and cocoa nibs added in for good measure. It's like comfort food in a cup.

One of my favorites! I seem to say that a lot but I really love tea. Perfectly tropical and a beautiful reminder on these ice cold New England days that warmer days are coming.

This is a really nice creamy coconut tea. I added cream and sugar and liked it even better. I think it would be a nice addition to a custom blend and it might be nice iced too.

This tea is enjoyable but doesnt have a strong enough coconut flavor. It is more a black tea with a hint of coconut aftertaste. Might be good with sugar if thats your preferance.

A good tea, not outstanding, but good. A moderate amount of coconut flavor. @adagioteas

This tea is a good choice if you like the coconut flavor in your tea, but I use it to create more reach flavor combination - I mix it with black Cream tea, Earl Grey and the coconut chips. And when making tea, I add 1-2 tsps of brown sugar, which softens the astringency of the tea and gives it a hint of caramel flavor. @adagioteas

I am not sure if this was one that someone forgot to add the blend or not, but the whole bag had three flakes of coconut and only tasted like raw tea.

I was worried that the coconut flavor would be overpowering, but it isn't. It smells like roasted coconut and has more of a fresh coconut flavor which balances the black tea flavor well.
Trying this tea again several years later, it is still one of my favourites. I find it enjoyable on its own, but it's particularly lovely with some cream or coconut milk. The nuttiness is rich and comforting, and pairs surprisingly well with the black tea flavour.

Who would have thought I would love hot coconut? I'd always associated the flavor with Thai food (of which I am not a fan), so I'd never tried it in my tea before. But when Adagio sent the little sample packet, I gave it a whirl.
Now I'm hooked! The smell is fantastic, the taste is smooth and sweet, and the staying power is quite potent (as is the case with all Adagio teas). I can make cup after cup after cup with the same teaspoon of leaves. And I love the large shredded pieces of coconut you can see right in the bag. Already bought some more!
