Tastes great! A little homemade whipped cream stirred in made it a treat. I only gave 4 stars because I could use even more coconut flavor.
Creamy texture of fresh coconut flavor with the balanced brightness of Ceylon. Perfectly sweet and very well-blended.

Tastes great! A little homemade whipped cream stirred in made it a treat. I only gave 4 stars because I could use even more coconut flavor.
Lovely flavor! Has an awesome creamy coconut taste with out and icky fake aftertaste
This flavor is most enjoyable any time of day the smell, the taste, the flavor hits the spot
I actually really loved this one! The coconut scent and taste is definitely there but not overwhelming. I added some chocolate chips to my hot cup!
I love the combination of black tea and coconut. This is a refreshing cup of tea which I prefer iced.
Normally, I avoid high caffeine teas but this is an exception! This tea is so smooth and creamy, that I drink it without any sweetener. The coconut aroma is very present and as others have said, I do think of Mounds bar or a tropical beach. I want to try it iced as well.
Always come back to this black coconut tea when in the mood for a desert tasting tea. This tea goes well with honey and a pastry. The tea steeps fast and strong so keeping an eye on the time keeps it from getting bitter. Coconut slivers are good to pick out of the leaves after.
To update my review: I still like drinking this tea. It does not have the same coconut flavor as Coconut Grove Pouchong because it is black tea and not Oolong. The flavor of coconut in this black tea tastes good to me, enough that I am willing to repurchase again. I am always repurchasing this tea!
I mixed this with unflavored black tea and it was very good. The coconut flavor tastes very natural (not chemically).
For the past three Summers, Adagio Coconut has been my favorite tea for making sun tea. Each morning I fill a glass jar with cold filtered water, add a few springs of fresh chocolate mint from my garden, and 3 tablespoons Coconut Tea Leaves in an Adagio paper tea filter, set the jar outdoor in the sun to steep until late afternoon. It s perfect every time. I serve it with a dash of Maple Syrup and ice. What could possibly be more refreshing?! I would like to add that recently we hosted a good friend for a 'social distanced outdoor lunch on our patio' and I offered a glass of Coconut Sun Tea with ice----he drank a whole quart of it! So it's a hit with friends as well.
This tea is so yummy! I was looking for something different and found it.
If you like Coconut, this tea is for you. Blends nicely with the Blood Orange herbal. Also brew it straight and add a bit of cream and sugar.
This tea has an amazing coconut flavor and aroma too. I enjoy drinking it just as it is in the morning.
Ok blend but I think the added coconut flavor is throwing me off. It does have nice big pieces of actual coconut though. Nice black tea
This is my current favorite flavor. It has a nice coconut flavor and after-taste. It is delicious!
This is a good, creamy coconut tea. The flavor stays natural tasting as long as you don't drink it too hot, and it is creamy and pleasant. I like this tea best mixed with others, but it is pretty decent on its own as well, just not my favorite of Adagio's many flavors.
Both the Coconut Tea and the Thai Tea are terrific with a tablespoon of coconut milk instead of cream!
Very light coconut flavourful which us really nice this is a great tea
amazing taste of coconut mixed with the high quality i expect from Adagio. i will be ordering more soon
Nice coconut and black tea taste. Kinda reminds me of a Mounds bar with a touch of black tea. Nice and summery.
Full flavored, lovely scent, makes everything nice and creamy. I like mixing my own blends, and this is one of my staples. I've found it works very well with any of my chai, and it's lovely with Earl grey and a little lavender.
Didn't care for it very much, tasted a little bit like soap. (Cold brewed for 10 hours)
This might be my favorite winter tea. I add a little agave on days I need a little extra sweetness, but the tea doesn’t really need it. It’s so good on it’s own
Loved this as an iced tea! With a little stevia it was so refreshing!
Today's CommuniTea packet is coconut tea with black tea, coconut flavor and coconut. It smells strongly of coconut when you open the packet and I had visible coconut pieces. The coconut recedes a little when brewed. I didn't dislike drinking this, but I don't know that it's something I'd rush out to buy on its own either. If you're a coconut fan, you may adore it. Brewed in 12 ounces of 195-degree water for about two and a half minutes.
A tasty coconut flavored tea with chucks of coconut. It can be enjoyed either hot or cold. It is very refreshing cold.
Refreshing and creamy! No need for sweetener. A little bitterness, needed to brew at 195 to curb it.
Love the coconut! Paired with Ceylon tea it was fantastic. Recommend heating to 190 to keep the nitterness in the Ceylon out.
This tea is like a tropical vacation in a cup. The coconut tastes so good and the black tea provides a nice kick of caffeine. It’s also a great base for blends. Overall, a fantastic tea! I recommend cold brewing.
please keep in mind with my review that i am not a fan of coconut. i tolerate it when its mixed with other ingredients in tea, but this was too much for me. even milk and honey did little to help this tea for me, but if you enjoy coconut, you might love this tea
If you like coconut, then this is your drink. It is completely, utterly coconut with the nice bite of black tea to accompany it. It isn't for me, unfortunately.
I love this flavored black tea...especially with bits-pieces of coconut mixed in the tea. Great iced and hot, but I prefer it iced. Great with blending in Fandom blends.
CommuniTEA 6/26/22: I don't always like coconut in tea as it tends to go rancid very fast, but I really enjoyed this tea!
3 minutes, 210°F, 1 tsp truvia, big mug
The tea definitely hits everything I expected: black tea with a creamy coconut. The flavor with a little milk reminded me of coconut cream pie!
Updated 6/26/2022: another CommuniTEA sample, this time cold-steeped overnight. Delicious! And naturally sweet without any sugar added.
2021 Review: Sampled in the CommuniTEA. Nice black tea with a smooth, coconut flavor. I steep Ceylon teas at 190°F x 2 minutes (3 for second steep), to avoid astringency. The coconut flavor is very natural tasting and is even better with a little sweetener. It also makes a good blending tea as a base. I tried it with chai and with chocolate, but think almond or fruity flavors would also be good. I only enjoyed it hot, but it would be good iced. Very versatile tea, if you like coconut.
CommuniTEA portion: Cold Brewed overnight. I eat really looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint. Awesome and smooth and coconut-y. Summer loveliness!
This is a really lovely coconut black tea. The flavor isn’t cloying or artificial, it blends with other teas without drowning everything in coconut, it’s great hot or iced and with or without milk.
I use coconut tea to blend with other black teas to bring a sweetness and depth of flavor.
The aroma of the freshly opened packet was delightful. Wish I could say the same for the steeped tea. The astringency of the black tea tannins came through loud and clear with just a hint of the coconut sweetness. I do like Ceylon teas but not this particular one. Perhaps I steeped it too long in too hot of water. Will try again.
Steeping Notes — 195 degrees for 3-5 minutes in the Adagio steeping mug (removing leaves for a second steeping.)
A lovely tea..especially iced & blended with other tropical blends or herbals!
Before Adagio, I would have turned away from a coconut tea. It just didn't make much sense to me, but I've since seen the light, and it turns out coconut tea is amazing! This blend is perfectly balanced with sweet and creamy flavors that come alive with a bit of milk and sugar. I brewed this at about 200°F and it came out nice if a little bitter, so next time I'd try it at 195°F.
This is a nice creamy coconut tea and by brewing it at a lower temp there was very little bitterness. Creamy in the way of coconut milk which counters nicely with the black tea.
Others mention cold brewing and I think that would be wonderful for this tea. (196F for 3min)
🎵 I put the cream in the coconut and drank it all up 🎵
Coconut tea tastes like coconut. If coconut is one of your happy flavors, this is likely a perfectly pleasant cup of tea.
July 10, 2020: If you like coconut...get this! The flavor was spot on and well balanced. I wish I had a little cream or coconut milk...I think it would be even better.
Update: I really enjoy this tea with cream and sugar. I also steep at a lower temp. Also, this is amazing cold brewed!
As advertised, this tea is a good blend of black tea and coconut flavor. A warm tropical escape.
This is a delicious coconut tea that needed some honey, but nothing else to bring out the coconut flavor. I steeped at 190 degrees for 3 minutes (no longer!). I plan to try a second steep by adding some Thai Chai, cocoa nibs, and cinnamon chips!
UPDATED from 7/11/21: “...You put de lime in de coconut, you drink 'em bot' togedder
Put de lime in de coconut, then you feel better…”
Well, there is certainly plenty of coconut in this CommuniTea packet - the aroma fills my senses. This steeps (at a slightly lower temp to avoid black tea bitterness) into a bold rusty orange. Wow this is delicious - a coconut flavored tea with no astringency or bitterness. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) brings out the sweetness of the coconut even more. Adding heavy whipping cream smooths it all into a creamy, coconut dessert, one that tastes great cold. I did not add any lime, but citrus might be an interesting addition. Only negative is that it is high caffeine. (2 steeps: 3 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener and cream).
UPDATE 6-26-22: Today's CommuniTEA is Coconut (flavored black tea). I have enjoyed this tea every time I've had it and I can say with certainty that this tea is great with the following combinations:
Milk Thistle and Manuka Honey
Cocoa Nibs and Chocolate Honey
Dandelion, Rose Hips, Butterfly Pea Flowers, Rose Petals, Hibiscus, and Garden Herbal Honey
Raspberry Leaves, Mango, Orange Peels, Strawberry, and Black Tea Honey (iced)
I would highly recommend this tea! It's definitely one of the best.
ORIGINAL: I brewed Coconut with mango, orange peels, and fruit tisanes honey for a tropical flavor - and it delivered! I wouldn't say it's my all-time favorite, but it is good nonetheless. I would recommend this tea if you like flavored teas (especially black teas) and love coconut!
This tea had a nice flavor to it. Though I did add some of my coconut creamer to it as I wanted more coconut flavor.
I love coconut! It's one of my favorite flavors, so I'm not sure why I didn't already have this in my pantry for some time...
