Coconut Customer Reviews

Creamy texture of fresh coconut flavor with the balanced brightness of Ceylon. Perfectly sweet and very well-blended.

This is a good, but not excellent tea. The tea's flavor seemed a bit off when I drank it straight, but I tried it again with a little sugar and milk and found it was a lot better the second time around with the sugar and milk added.

★★★★★

I love coconut and this tea has a nice coconut flavor. Great with a bit of cream and sugar.

★★★☆☆

Has a nutty flavor with more of a coconut aftertaste.

The flavor is really strong, too strong to drink straight. It's better to mix this tea with another tea, either plain black tea or something chocolate flavored.

Love this black tea, not too strong *coconutty* taste...really just *right* This would be fabulous blended with chocolate and/or caramel or both. Smells as lovely as it tastes~ dore

I'm not big on flavored teas, but I had to give coconut a try. I was pleasantly surprised that the coconut was not overwhelming. The tea is dark, rich, and sensual. Perfect evening indulgence.

★★★★★

This tea smells sooooo good out of the bag. The coconut flavor is quite mild, though. I love this with milk or blending it with something with chocolate.

Nice mild tea great for a relaxing afternoon cuppa.

Fantastic dessert tea when you add cream. I don't notice an 'artificial' taste that some people have noted. The smell is amazing and I'll definitely be buying more.

★★★★★

Man, the way this tea smells right out of the bag... It's awesome. The coconut flavor is there, but it's not overwhelmingly sweet, it's very nice...

★★★★☆

Pretty good, but as far as coconut teas go, the pouchong's still my favorite. Seemed to fare well enough for a second steep, retaining a subtle coconut flavor. Likely good for blending, though.

★★★★☆

yummy flavor. worked well iced or hot. wound up mixing it with other flavors to keep it interesting .)

I did not like this at all. Very disappointed. It left a bad taste in my mouth that I almost felt sick. I threw it all out.

I love coconut and this didn't disappoint me. It's sweet in a way that makes me think it could even be a dessert tea with sugar and a heavier cream than I used, although for every day drinking it does need some milk or sugar to give it a boost. Regardless I thought it was good, not too much of either coconut or tea flavor.

★★★★☆

The coconut flavor in this tea certainly comes through, though can tend toward a slightly artificial taste. I think the tea is well balanced overall and worthy of at least the sampler purchase.

Unimpressed. I adore coconut, but I just can't get past the odd taste of this tea. Milk doesn't help, sugar doesn't help, honey doesn't help. Perhaps melting a section of Mounds bar would, but that kind of defeats the purpose.

★★★★☆

bout what you expect. delicious black with some buttery tones of coconut. The smell of the coconut is not very strong in the bag, but you can see slivers of coconut meat in with the tea. The nuttiest flavor comes at the end of your sip of tea, a wave of rich and sweet coconut.

This tea smells a bit better than it tastes, but the taste is still enjoyable. It isn't my favorite black tea, but I will definitely drink it again.

★★★★★

This tea is amazing. It smells just like a Mounds bar and tastes fantastic on it's own, no sweeteners needed. So far my favorite tea.

★★★★★

This is by far my favorite tea that I've tried from Adagio! The coconut taste is not overwhelming or artificial tasting, just very warm and nutty. perfect anytime tea in my opinion.

★★★★☆

good flavorful tea, with just the right amount of coconut (not overpowering, not too faint).

The coconut is very fragrant, but I can't seem to appreciate the flavor. It's very subtle to me, maybe it would be better with a different black?

I find that I like this tea when I steep it for about 3 minutes, as recommended--anything more than that and the coconut taste is overpowered by the tea itself.

★★★☆☆

I use this to blend with other flavors. It really is a bit weak... but the flavor is fine.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite Adagio teas. It has a pretty good coconut flavour, just be careful and don't let it steep for too long.

★★★★★

Sweet a smooth. The coconut flavor is strong but I like that about it. I add a little milk and sweetener and it is perfect.

I absolutely love coconut and this was delicious. the coconut is very strong, definitely going to try blending this with some other flavors. c:

★★★★☆

I really love coconut, and this tea smelled amazing.

★★★★★

This tea smells heavenly! I didn't find the coconut flavor too strong, which was fantastic. It's a very lovely tea. I prefer mine with a splash of milk.

As much as I like coconut, I found that I did not like this tea a great deal. It had an odd, artificial taste to me when I drank it straight. I found that adding a bit of cream to it helped, but it still is not a tea that I would find myself reaching for... unless I was out of my other Adagio teas.

This tea tasted very nice and nutty, but it lacked a strong coconut flavor. Still, I imagine it would taste very good with chocolate.

This tea is really good, even better with a little cream in it! Love it, one of my all time favorites!

I was really disappointed with this. I'm still searching for my holy grail coconut tea. No matter how little/long it's steeped it turns out bitter in a bad way. It actually does OK in blends though. The coconut and assam melody was interesting, though still a bit bitter. Probably won't repurchase, thankfully it was a sample. You pretty much need to put milk and sugar in this to get rid of the strange aftertaste.

I like to mix this with the cream tea to get a coconut cream tea! I add cream and sugar and it is tasty.

★★★☆☆

I thought I was going to love this tea. coconut is a favorite flavor of mine. Unfortunately I found this tea to have an odd burnt sort of taste that doesn't say coconut to me at all. It is a very pronounced taste. I can drink this tea in a pinch, but it certainly isn't my first choice.

This tea has just the right amount of coconut. Rich and fragrant, and such a wonderful treat for any time of the day.

Nice subtle flavor. Really great with a little milk and sugar!

The scent and taste of this coconut black is really gorgeous. I had it with a little milk and sugar, and it tasted almost decadent.

★★★★☆

A fairly pleasant tea! I can't say coconut is a flavour I get up in arms over, but this one was very nice and it'll do the trick if that's what you're after. But beware, only brew these leaves once lest you end up with a sad, weak brew. It was a fun tea to try, but I can't see myself going through a bag larger than the sample one.

When opening the bag of this tea the smell of coconut is strong. I love coconut flavored things but found that after steeping the tea had a mild coconut flavor. Overall the tea is good and pairs well with milk and sugar.

★★★★☆

An uncomplicated black tea with a hint of coconut. Kind of reminds me of the tea version of my favorite coconut flavored coffee. The coconut taste is definitely there, but it's not overpowering... adding a bit of sugar brings it out more. I imagine this would be amazing blended with vanilla, but it's still good on its own. It also produces a pretty good second steep.

So very good. The light coconut flavor really enhanced the strong black tea. I'll be sure to purchase again!

★★★★★

I am enjoying trying my many samples of Adagio teas, and this one did not dissapoint! I love coconut, and love black tea, so this was a winner. Just enough flavor, and not overly sweet at all, just right with a touch of sugar and a little milk. I will definately order this one again.

I love the taste of coconut and this tea did NOT disappoint! It has a real coconut taste, but is not too sweet.

★★★★★

Wow, this is a really nice tea. You definitely taste the coconut but its not overwhelming. The is a great tea to relax with. Will definitely keep this one stocked at home.

First off, I love seeing the real flakes of coconut in the tea! This tea has such a great flavor, and this is coming from someone who isn't the biggest fan of coconut-flavored things. It tastes true to the fruit and is great wish a little sugar and dash of almond milk.

This tea is meant to pair with other teas. I do not suggest drinking this alone.

This is a FUN tea. It smells just lovely, and isn't overwhelmingly coconutty. There is a bit of an edge to it, a bit tannic, so I add a splash of milk.

3 min steep · 208°F

★★★☆☆

This tea isn't really what I was expecting. It has a rather bitter taste - not sweet like I anticipated. It's an ok tea for coconut lovers (although the coconut flavor wasn't as strong as I would like), but if you prefer sweeter, smoother teas, this one isn't for you. I tried this a second time with a bit of coconut milk, but was still unable to mask the bitterness, and surprisingly it only brought out the coconut flavor just slightly more than before. This tea would probably taste better in a blend rather than by itself.

★★★★★

This is a very soothing tea. The taste of coconut is strong enough to stand up to the cream and sugar that I enjoy in my teas. I ordered a trial size but will definitely be purchasing a larger quantity right away!
