This is one of the first teas from Adagio that I've reviewed, but not the first I've gotten from this site. I have a tendency of oversteeping my teas, but I prepared this one according to the directions...sort of. I use a Farberware percolator (minus the coffee filter part) to warm my water, so while it's pretty hot, it's probably not 212 degrees. However, I did let it steep for 3 minutes. It tasted fantastic: rich and creamy, and with a strong toasted-coconut taste. I don't add anything to my teas, and this is perfect as is. I'm very happy with it, and will hopefully order a 3 oz. pouch once this sample is done!

I've been on a coconut kick lately, and this tea makes a great dessert tea with some cream and sugar. Definitely keeping this in stock in my tea collection.

Out of the bag it didn't smell like coconut. More like sweet grass. The taste is a little better, but not strong enough for me to feel as though it is actually coconut I am tasting. More sweet than anything.

At first I wasn't all together sure how I would feel about this tea. Coconut just seemed like an odd choice for a tea flavoring, but I changed my mind the instant I took the first tentative sip. If you are looking for a tea that is very simple yet with enough flavor to keep it interesting, this is positively the one.

The coconut is wonderful and not overly sweet. Might be lovely mixed with chocolate?

Tastes like fresh coconut in a black, flavorful tea.

The coconut flavor could be stronger, but this is still a very nice tea.

This tea is fantastic. I love the smell and occasionally pull the tin out of the cupboard just to inhale it. It's got a light coconut flavor -- not at all artificial tasting -- and is delicious with a bit of sugar and cream.

Alone, it's OK. Definitely tastes like coconut. With some cream ceylon, it pops. I also like to add a little pina colada herbal tea, milk, and a bit of sugar for a fun summery cup of tea.

Nice toasted coconut flavor when steeped. The taste is missing a certain 'oomph,' but it's decent enough. I may buy more of this, I may not.

I have to say, I absolutely love coconut tea (and tend to love any tea mixed with it.) Sweet, strong, with an aroma that's absolutely wonderful, this tea is great on its own or blended with vanilla or cream. Is better as a hot tea, but holds up well even when it cools off.

This tea was surprisingly fantastic! I got it as a free sample, not of my own choice, and to be honest I would probably never have picked it up of my own volition. I really hate the texture of coconut in candies and such, so I tend to avoid it in general, but wow, this tea! I forgot how much I could love the flavor of coconut! I can't wait to try it iced...

Surprisingly balanced, with a more pronounced smell than it has flavor. Great for home blending with other flavors.

This is a pretty good tea, but I have the same problem with it as I have with other flavored teas, which is that it's just not as strong as I'd want it to be. The coconut is extremely faint, to the point of just barely being able to taste it. I'm going to experiment with different amounts of tea and steeping time and see if that helps.

A bit light on the Coconut flavor. Not bad but not that impressive either.

I hadn't expected this to be as good as it was I'm thinking of trying it iced next too.

Coconut flavor is subtle. When I really crave coconut flavor, I use coconut cream to sweeten rather than my usual rock sugar. I do like blending this tea with the cream and almond black teas.

The aroma is a bit overpowering at first, made me think it was going to be artificial tasting. Happily, I was wrong. Nice, warm, easy to drink. A bit of sugar and soymilk makes a heavenly cuppa. Great to mix w/ vanilla, too.

i never thought i'd like a coconut-flavored tea! this is very warm and comforting. i could drink it all day if it weren't caffeinated.

Based on the aroma, I thought the coconut would be way too strong in this tea. The scent in the bag is overpoweringly coconut. However, once brewed, the coconut blends really nicely with the black tea. It's not quite as sweet as I'd expected, though it still might be just a touch sweet for my personal taste. I think mixing in some milk or blending it with a little Irish Breakfast would really help soften that sweetness to perfection. The coconut flavor itself is very natural, even if the aroma is a little artificial. I absolutely love coconut, so this one is definitely going on my favorites.

My first experience with this tea was wonderful! The coconut flavor provides a smooth, tropical tone to the Ceylon black tea. It makes a great iced tea on a hot day, as well!

I wasn't sure how coconut tea would taste, but I was impressed! It also works well when mixed with other teas--my personal favorite is vanilla oolong.

I've found that I like this tea cold instead of hot.. or hot with milk and a little sugar. Plain seems to be lacking something, although it does make the room smell wonderful and make me long for the beach!

I was disappointed by this tea. Right out of the bag, it smells sort of off-putting. When brewed, I could detect absolutely no coconut in the tea, and it had a strange, very unpleasant taste to it. Definitely won't be buying this again.

I'd never been a fan of coconut flavored tea until I found this, personally I prefer it blended with other teas.

Lovely smell and good taste, just not as strong a flavor as I was expecting.

VERY. STRONG. The coconut just SCREAMS at you in this blend. It's much better in a blend than on its own, I just can't handle how strong the flavor is. If you can't get enough coconut, though, this would be right up your alley.

I really enjoyed this tea!! Was great iced!! I think it would be good with chocolate for a mounds taste!!

I can taste the coconut, it tastes good and real at first but has an odd aftertaste. It's amazing with milk and a bit of sugar. I brewed it double strength.

Tastes a little awkward alone, but is quite good with a little bit of sugar.

I generally love coconut teas, this one didn't impress me as much as a coconut oolong I love, but it will do for blending. :D

In the bag the smell of this tea was sort of off-putting, but despite the flakes of coconut present in the blend I did not get any coconut out of it at all. When brewed, it was a lovely black tea... but still no coconut in either smell or taste. I take my black teas with milk and, if needed to enhance the flavor, sugar or honey. Both the unsweetened and sweetened cups failed to reveal even a hint of tropical deliciousness. it's possible this one needs a little TLC to work, but until then I've rated this as 'ok' since the Ceylon base is still pretty tasty.

Very strong coconut smell, but subtle taste. It tastes better with a splash of milk and maybe a pinch of raw sugar.

It has a smooth taste, and it's an excellent quality black tea, but I wish the coconut flavor was more prominent. Smells amazing though!

Smells and tastes strongly of coconut. Great for blending but gets to be a bit much on its own unless you're a huge coconut fan.

I bought this to mix with my other teas, and to start I mixed with one and a half teaspoons of snowdrop and then added a half scoop of the coconut. It tastes great! The coconut is very present but not overwhelming. A good mixer, or alone for the coconut lover.

While I love coconut, this tea is not my favorite. The coconut flavor stays in my mouth afterwards in an unpleasant way. Cloying comes to mind.

I am in love with this tea. It is perfect for drinking with a plate of cookies. It reminds me of my grandma's coconut cookies at Christmas. YUM!

When you open the bag you get this really odd coconut smell.. luckily the tea tastes nothing like it! Tastes like toasted coconut, nice and sweet. I added 3 spoonfuls of sugar and milk. I like this better than the other teas I ordered. I can only imagine how good this would be iced!

This is the perfect tea for when I'm in a beachy mood and need a little kick of caffeine that I don't get with decaf white teas.

It tastes like bitter coconut meat with an odd after-taste. With sugar and milk, I expected a sweet, creamy coconut flavor, but it still just tasted like coconut meat, which isn't very pleasant.

My mother (who I bought this for) was somewhat disappointed by this tea. It seemed to have too light of a coconut flavor, so that it tasted mostly like a generic black tea.

Love this tea! Great with milk and sugar or mixed with the cream or chocolate tea.

Superb! Not a hint of fakeness and the 'nutty' part of 'coconut' is displayed very pleasingly. Very flavorful.

It's warm, rich and sweet. Once my roommate steeped it for 15 minutes too long and the nutty sweetness of the coconut salvaged what would have otherwise a cup that was far too bitter to drink. I wouldn't recommend a 15 minute steeping time though, because it's delectable when you do it right!

I wanted to try this tea because of it's high reviews and my love of coconut. The first time I tried it, I completely hated it and dumped the whole pot out. I really should have known when ordering that I would not like it because I have a taste for earthy teas and this is just too sweet. I actually just dumped out the whole tin of it :(. Sad waste of my money but if you like overwhelming flavors then maybe you will like it.

This is my favorite afternoon tea when I need something sweet. The tea brews up strong, and I can normally get 2 cups from one tea bag.. or one REALLY large cup of tea...
