Spicy cinnamon with bright Ceylon black tea. Very warm and high cinnamon flavor, fresh with a spicy-crisp finish.

Cinnamon scents wafted enticingly out of the packet as it cracked open. A quick dunk for 3 minutes at 212°F yielded an auburn and orange tinged tea.

More cinnamon aromas wafted up with the steaming cup as it cooled. The first sip greeted my tongue with mildly spicy cinnamon and bold black tea. Not quite as fiery as a very pungent Saigon cinnamon, yet not quite as mellow as Ceylon cinnamon either. The flavor profile tells me it's probably the Saigon variety, yet the amount used keeps it mild unless steeped very long.

As such, this one's quite the nice middle ground between a very spicy Saigon cinnamon tea, and other more mellow varieties. Quite fitting for a fall cinnamon spice tea.

This is a very basic cinnamon flavor. I prefer my cinnamon tea with chai spices.

Cinnamon is not one of my go-to tea flavors but I liked this a lot. The cinnamon is sweet and woody and there is an earthiness that reminds me of cacao nibs.

UPDATE A definite cinnamon aroma wafts up from the dark tea leaves in the CommuniTea packet. The first steep is a dark, red/orange. The second is a much paler golden orange.
10/4/20 This is a great spicy tea, full of bold cinnamon flavor. Cinnamon can be a hot flavor, and this one does not disappoint. The spicier a tea is, the happier I am. When I add 1/4 teaspoon of Truvia sweetener (to 10 oz of tea) and some heavy whipping cream it smooths the flavor more, and makes it creamier in my mouth. For me this is a win/win. The only downside is the high caffeine, however, this tea warms me up on many levels on a cool morning, and will be a great way to start a fall or winter day. (3 mins @200ºF)

The cinnamon is not overbearing. With some honey for black tea and a little milk. This is a nice fall or winter treat tea.

This tea's really dependent on one's preference with cinnamon, in my opinion. The cinnamon flavor was mild for me, which I personally preferred.

Great cinnamon tea! I like it on its own as a latte. I'll always prefer it in a chai but this is great, like a cuppa big red.

This is a nice cinnamon, with more of a cinnamon oil flavor, it’s not spicy. If you want more of a cinnamon fire, go for fiery cinnamon spice. Both varieties are really good though. I enjoyed it with just sweetener, no creamer needed.

The cinnamon in this tea is more mellow than I expected, and I enjoy it. If you're looking for fire, this tea isn't it, but it's pleasantly warm and tastes great on a rainy day.

Love cinnamon! This one not as bold as fiery cinnamon but still good

Really has a strong cinnamon flavor. I ll mix it with chocolate or vanilla tea.

★★★★★

delicious cinnamon taste that last till the very last drop

★★☆☆☆

Try the Fiery cinnamon option instead of this 'plain' cinnamon tea -- I feel like the fiery one is the better choice if trying to find a tea that tastes cinnamon-y (is that a word?) :)

★★★☆☆

I found this tea to be unexpectedly bland. It wasn't offensive, but it just didn't do much for me. There was a very mild cinnamon flavor, but I wouldn't have coined it as such if I didn't know the name of the tea. The cinnamon adds some sweetness, but not really any spice. To be fair, I'm a girl who likes her spice, and I'm good friends with just about any kind of chai. I will not reorder this cinnamon tea; I'll just stick with my chai!

It is pretty much just what you'd expect. I like to mix this tea with vanilla or creme!

There was very little cinnamon scent prior to steeping or after steeping. There is almost no flavor. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Not a strong enough cinnamon flavor for me but it was still good

It's a great wintry wake-up tea. This tea is both spicy and sweet!

I find this tea comforting. Tastes much better with honey. It’s not spicy which I enjoy, but at the same time I feel it lacks in overall cinnamon flavor. I steep for about 5-7 minutes for a stronger flavor.

Very nice, will get when I run out. Or just when I mext buy some more tea.

Disappointed by the lack of cinnamon flavor. I know others have cited a 'light' flavor, but I couldn't detect it at all even by smell. I'm especially dismayed since I bought a bigger quantity and will now have to figure out how to use it up rather than waste the money. Will not get again.

The tea is nice, but with not quite as much cinnamon as I had hoped. I should have tried a sample first or ordered the fiery cinnamon instead. I will probably augment the cinnamon or perhaps blend it with other teas. It should be good brewed with a fruit tea this summer.

Update: I cold brewed the tea overnight and the cinnamon is much more in evidence. Very nice!

I really love this tea. I mix it with milk to make a tea latte and add some pumpkin spice syrup. The cinnamon flavor is perfect and reminds me of a cinnamon roll flavor.

In the bag, VERY mild cinnamon scent. Once brewed, smells a but like a cinnamon pastry. Very different from the fiery cinnamon spice. Much more mild, not spicy at all. I was expecting more of a punch. It's good and smells and tastes like cinnamon, but more like a mild cinnamon cookie than a punch of cinnamon.

I love the smell and taste of Cinnamon. I think this one could use just a bit more of the spice in it.

I don t know what happened with this one, but I don t get any cinnamon. None. I don t smell it, I don t taste it. If you want a cinnamon tea try Fiery Cinnamon (red hot candy style cinnamon) or Cinnamon Rooibos Chai. These are both good with plenty of cinnamon flavor.

Mild cinnamon, but can taste both tea and cinnamon. It is a sweet not spicy cinnamon

I bought this along with several other sample bags, and I have to say-this is one of the best teas I have ever had! Its perfectly spiced without being overwhelming. I added a bit of milk and honey and it was perfect.

The base tea is very astringent and moderately bitter, and it overwhelms the fairly mild cinnamon flavoring. It just feels like I'm drinking a decent black tea with some cinnamon extract thrown in. Adagio has much better cinnamon-flavored teas.

A belly warming cup of tea. Like this one it s own with a little milk or mix it with Irish breakfast for a warm bracing cuppa.

A nice and mellow cinnamon flavor. I wasn’t sure if this would be a spicy cinnamon flavor, but it’s a sweet and smooth kind of cinnamon.

With the changing of the seasons, I've enjoyed the subtle spice of the Cinnamon tea. Alone it was good, but I'm thinking it might be a fun tea to experiment with other flavors to make it great.

★★★★★

a purely cinnamon tea, nothing more nothing less.

★★★☆☆

Brews a warming clear dark orange color. The aroma and flavor is like black tea. If I didn't know it was cinnamon, i might not describe it as such. I was hoping for a noticeable cinnamon flavor and aroma. Fortunately I also ordered a fiery cinnamon sample to try tomorrow.

I love cinnamon but not this much. It pairs well in other flavored teas. Turmeric bliss is a slightly understated flavor that’s very sweet but add a little cinnamon and you’ve got a one two punch.

very delicious tea. perfect substitute when you're out of chai

★★★★☆

I'm giving it a solid good because the large bag of cinnamon tea I had finally ran out and it was from a few years ago and it was strong cinnamon tasting. This pouch was not. It was actually overpowered by the two tablespoons of milk I added and that was with Orange Blossom honey. I don't know what happened but I would like cinnamon in my cinnamon tea, please!

Part of the October 2020 CommuniTEA box. A nice simple tea, no wow factor needed.

Not the biggest fan of cinnamon, but this is a good tea

★★★★★

This tea has a mild cinnamon flavor, as opposed to the fiery cinnamon spice, which has a strong cinnamon flavor. This tea is almost sweet on its own.
