maybe i steeped it too long, but wasn't crazy about this one, haha

The cinnamon flavor was mild for me as I noted on prior tasting. I prefer a stronger cinnamon tea. I enjoyed it with a little honey. Soothing and not at all bitter.

update : I liked it better this time and agree it’s more like a cinnamon bun than strong cinnamon flavor per se. Needs sweetener to taste it. Still not crazy about it and find the Ceylon bitter. But appreciated it on this cold day.

I love cinnamon. i did not like this. I think it needs something else to boost it a bit; dull flavor.

A pleasant enough cup of tea, light on the cinnamon, probably not going to rock your world, but still good. I tend to use this alot in blends because it plays well with others, adds some depth, and doesn't overshadow other major flavors.

Sample out of the Communitea box. This is super simple. Not overpowering. Made me think of Christmas when I opened it. The flavor is just the right balance of black tea and cinnamon.

the cinnamon is not overly strong drowning out the tea itself. This is a nice cup of tea.

Hmm. This is a cinnamon flavor, but it's not the bright, spicy cinnamon flavor I was expecting. It's mellow, but in a way I find oddly off-putting in tea? Can't put my finger on why. I'll stick to my hazelnut cinnamon creme.

Delicious cinnamon aroma and typical black tea fragrance from the dry leaves. 2 min @ 160. No cinnamon smell after steeping. I prefer strong cinnamon flavor so I couldn't detect any here. No bitterness or astringency but it's not Fiery Cinnamon Spice.

This tea was a pleasant surprise. Between comments in other reviews and my love of Adagio's Fiery Cinnamon Spice, I was prepared to be underwhelmed by this tea. Though it doesn't have the punch that Fiery Cinnamon Spice does, the cinnamon is present, soft and warming. Interestingly, I preferred the second steep as the Ceylon base had lost its edge, so the cinnamon and tea were more balanced. If it weren't for the Ceylon's domineering astringency in the first steep, this would be a five star tea. (3-4.5 minutes @ 212F)

A nice spicy, full flavor autumn tea. I chose to make it as a latte with honey and cream, and enjoyed it with an Apple Crisp Doughnut. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA October box.
2023 update Much more mellow cinnamon flavor than the assertive fiery cinnamon spice, which I often compare to Atomic Fireballs candy both a favorite of my sister. This version is my favorite Cinnamon.

A pleasant combination of sweet and spicy. It also pairs well with other teas.

To echo other reviewers, this is a softer, more mellow cinnamon profile than the fiery cinnamon spice, which is more like Vietnamese cinnamon. This one is more akin to the traditional baking cinnamon you'd find in your pantry. It's a pleasant tea, simple and straightforward. Steeped 3 min @ 195ª.

CommuniTEA Sample: A nice, simple black tea with a bit of cinnamon in it. It’s not overpowering but is there as a nice flavor.

This tea smells amazing, just like a cinnamon stick. It has a more mild cinnamon flavor, so it's not overwhelming. Good by itself or for mixing with other teas.

★★☆☆☆

The first bag of this was pretty good. The second bag I ordered had hardly any cinnamon flavor to it at all. Disappointed.

Christmas tea is what I call it. Makes me ready for the holidays. Especially in the summer when I am over the heat and ready for the holidays to begin.

★★★★☆

Just enough Cinnamon to flavor, but not enough to knock you over, so its a good morning tea! Would give 5 stars, but the leaves sometimes are more dust like than some.

I love a good cinnamon tea. This tea is good as both a hot tea, or an iced tea. I like to mix it with toasted coconut white tea to bring down the caffeine level.

★★★☆☆

I like cinnamon but this was not my favorite. It was too much and messy, also not as spicy as I thought it would be.

This tea is simple and mild. The cinnamon flavor leans more towards sweet then spicy and is subtle but pleasant. I personally like a stronger kick to my cinnamon tea but this is good if you want that flavor but are not in the mood for anything overly spicy.

Just a hint of cinnamon flavor in this one, not a spicy tea. Pretty straightforward, just black tea and cinnamon. The tea itself is a little weaker than I expected.

It's black tea with cinnamon flavor added. It's pretty good, but definitely not their best blend. I'd still drink it in a heartbeat though

This is a mild cinnamon, not like the Fiery Cinnamon. I usually prefer the stronger cinnamon, but I LOVE this tea. It is a black tea and just tastes wonderful. In my top 3 from Adagio.

CommuniTEA 11/14/22: I happen to enjoy black tea, cinnamon, and Adagio’s fiery cinnamon spice tea. I also happen to love craft stores, especially in the fall when holiday scents meet you at the door.

The best comparison I can give is, today’s tea smells like the amazing craft store entrance with wreaths and heavily spiced pine cones waiting. Fiery cinnamon spice tastes like that powerful scent in liquid form. Cinnamon tea, which is the feature today, tastes a bit sweeter and muted: black tea with a nod to cinnamon baked goods. It’s delightful and delicious and I would highly recommend this, though I’d also recommend fiery cinnamon spice if you want more of a cinnamon punch.

After recently having the fiery Cinnamon spice this is very tame. It tasted like black tea and ground cinnamon. My tea from the CommuniTEA portion packet had a strange taste too. I liked the other better.

While I enjoy cinnamon in my tea, today I learned I need more than just cinnamon to enjoy it. A very dry tea.

CommuniTEA portion: Brewed for 3 minutes at 195 degrees. This tea was much more my speed vs the fiery red hot cinnamon situation from a few days ago. :-) Nice subtle cinnamon flavor compliments the black tea well.

This one is much milder than the Fiery Cinnamon Spice. I found that it needed to be sweetened up in order to really enjoy the cinnamon flavor. Not bad once it was sweetened.

This tea was just as promised - cinnamon. A little underwhelming, it reminded me a lot of pumpkin spice. Not impressive, but decent

I struggled to find the cinnamon in this tea. If it was there, it was the briefest of hint. I really expected to at least be able to taste a bit of cinnamon - even if it wasn't as pronounced as some of the more firey ones that we've had. Perhaps if I sweetened (which I don't do), it might have had more flavor, but really just a black tea.

CommuniTEA 11/14/22: a solid tea. I would describe this as a murky black tea with cinnamon, whereas the fiery cinnamon spice is a very bright cinnamon tea. This one is more mellow, like a dreary rainy day in the cold dark winter.

It's perfectly drinkable, but it is just a nice, mildly cinnamon-ey cup of tea. If you want a zinger of a cup, this isn't it.

★★★☆☆

To be generous, this was a drinkable black tea without any standout personality. It wanted to be more. It was neither a Fiery Cinnamon, a chai, a spiced tea. In short, it missed the mark in an attempt to be more than just an average cup of black tea.

If you are looking for a mildly spicy tea, this is a good one to try. It's nothing fancy and a little mild for my preference, but still a tasty tea. I like to add cinnamon, and some cinnamon whipped honey, to amp it up a bit. 190° for 3 minutes.

It’s extremely enjoyable if I’m not looking for in your face cinnamon for iced or hot. I steeped my sample at 3 minutes and a higher temperature with a little bit of rock sugar. I then sipped some hot and saved the rest for iced which I drank later.

Tasted side by side with Firey Cinnamon and I have to say Firey wins in a landslide. Cinnamon is here but it is much more timid/ Christmas wreath style. Seems like Cinnamon sticks with black tea. While I prefer H&S Hot Cinnamon Spice to both, I could see myself ordering Firey Cinnamon by Adagio as a unique alternative. I cannot really see myself ordering this again though.

Lovely cup of tea this morning. Ceylon isn't a favorite, but the light cinnamon compliments it well. I agree with other reviewers on the lack of cinnamon for a cinnamon tea. Not bad at all for me! Just don't assume this has chai-level spice.

Edit to add 11/14/2022 for Communitea: I still enjoy this, but go for Fiery Cinnamon Spice if you enjoy a heavier cinnamon presence.

The scent of cinnamon is stronger than the actual taste. One thing I like about this tea is that it has less of a 'candy cinnamon' flavor. The black tea is not overwhelmed, and there is no bitterness. Sweetening the tea does bring out more of the cinnamon flavor, but again it is not overshadowing the rest of the tea. This is probably a good tea for someone who likes cinnamon but does not want a tea that is spicy like chai or something that reminds them of candy.

(11/14/2022): I was excited to enjoy today's CommuniTea packet of Cinnamon black tea, and doubly so that I could compare it with the Fiery Cinnamon Spice from a few days ago. However, upon opening my packet I was NOT greeted with the anticipated spicy aroma of Cinnamon. I couldn't place my finger on the smell but decided to try brewing it anyways and seeing what happened. Sure enough, after brewing, I detect no cinnamon and very weak flavor in general. If anything, the flavor is more reminiscent of coconut creme (coconut is NOT my favorite flavor). The tea is still palatable but not close to what I was expecting or hoping for. Hopefully it's just me getting the wrong tea today and everyone else gets to enjoy the Cinnamon as planned.

Compared to Fiery Cinnamon Spice, this is definitely a much milder cinnamon; the ceylon flavor is stronger in this one too, or at least more noticeable than how I remember Fiery Cinnamon Spice tasting. If you like that, good for you! This is probably the cinnamon tea you’re looking for. I had to add a sweetener, which I think brought out the sweetness of the cinnamon more than the spice. If you want a hotter cinnamon, definitely go for the Fiery Cinnamon Spice!

Good cinnamon aroma before brewed, but the cinnamon flavor disappears in the cup. If you want a cinnamon tea where the cinnamon is more forward, look elsewhere.

Really great blend of black tea and cinnamon. The cinnamon is very mild, but just enough at the same time. Perfect with a bit of sugar! 3 mins @ 195°F
