This tea has a wonderful chocolate aroma which pairs very nicely with the black tea. There is also a touch of nuttiness that comes through. If you enjoy making tea with cacao husks or nibs, they are also a wonderful addition to amplify the chocolate-y flavor and boost the theobromine content of your brew. (This adds a nice, less jittery stimulant compared to caffeine.) I enjoy this tea as is, or with up to a 50/50 split of this tea and cacao husks.

Delicious and dessert-y. This is the most chocolatey tea I've tried from Adagio, so if you've tried any of the chocolate teas and wanted more chocolate, this is it! The dark chocolate chips, cocoa nibs and chicory go really well with the black ceylon base, too. I like this one with a generous blob of honey (Adagio's raw honey for black tea is nice) and a little vanilla almond milk (or ideally a richer creamer) to take the decadence all the way. Tends to come out best if there's at least one dark chocolate chip in each scoop. Sometimes the second steep makes a slightly less chocolatey cup if the chocolate chips melt completely into the first steep, but often it's just as chocolatey. I do very much wish there was a decaf version of this, because I don't always want this at the beginning of my day. I drink it on days when I feel like I NEED it haha. :) Seems like this would be great blended with other teas, too, (honeybush chocolate? raspberry patch? decaf strawberry black tea?) but I haven't experimented with that yet myself. This is definitely a tea I'd like to keep in my pantry so I can get my tea and dark chocolate fixes at the same time! (3 mins @195º; two steeps)

I adore this tea. It reminds me of tootsie rolls and works wonderfully for when I'm craving hot cocoa.

This didn’t need sweetener or milk, the flavor comes through wonderfully on its own.

In a world of chocolate, this tea will wow you for its smooth, richly decadent taste of chocolate blends that will thrill your palate. Not just a dessert tea but a spoil you rotten tea. Go for it!

Love this chocolatey tea with any kind of milk and sweetener (especially, oat milk and maple syrup)!

I enjoy this tea as an afternoon treat when it’s chilly outside. The chocolate aroma is yummy.
★★★★★
Excellent chocolate flavor. Very good with milk and a touch of sugar.

Genuinely tastes like a cup of hot cocoa, which is one of my favorite holiday treats. The chocolate is the most noticeable flavor, and it complements the tea well.

This is my most regular 'dessert'. I have this tea after putting my young children to bed three or four nights a week. It's decadent and smooth, and gives me that warm, calm feeling without weighing me down at 9 pm like a big piece of cake. Though I will add it does go very well with a more traditional evening dessert as well.

This did not have much of a chocolate flavor to it. Was a bit disappointed.

This is a smooth black tea with hints of chocolate. It's good, I just wish I could taste the chocolate more.

A favorite in our household. This is a really delicious tea.

This is just the chocolate tea I’ve been looking for. Not too bitter, just a delicious chocolate taste. Makes a great tea latte. Will now be a staple in my tea collection.

I didn't like the flavor at all. It tasted like fake chocolate for some reason.

This tea is a nice balance of black tea and chocolate. The chicory and nibs add more complexity while the chocolate chips add a base flavor and richness. I think it is best drank sweetened with some sort of neutral creamer.

CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE TEA! Almost forgot to post! Easy to drink, light chocolate taste!

I was surprised how much more chocolate flavor this had compared to the regular chocolate tea. I loved it. It has a very rich, smooth flavor that is almost like having hot chocolate.

My favorite tea! I make a big pot everyday, I use the honey for black tea, delicious.

I only discovered this tea in December but I think I'm already addicted to it! It's my morning treat and so yummy that I start thinking about it as soon as I wake up in the morning.
★★★★★
This tea is really good, but it does require more sugar than other teas to get it past the 'bitter' chocolate flavor.
★★★☆☆
Sounded very promising, but left a lot to be desired. Better when paired with some cream and sugar, but the chocolate taste is muted and leans more bitter than sweet

Before trying Chocolate Truffle, I wasn t a fan of chocolate in tea. I would avoid tea with chocolate ingredients. However after trying a sample portion I was amazed how tasty this tea was. I bought a 3oz bag, now when I m craving chocolate, this tea has saved me from impulse buying chocolate bars. I added salted caramel chocolate sugar along with french vanilla creamer, the tea tasted like the melted ending of a sundae. Peppermint simple syrup mixed with this tea makes a great chocolate peppermint drink.

Nice dessert tea without the guilt of calories. Comparable to Tiger eye.

Sounds good, taste bad. Am giving it to my niece to try.

Had this with a spoonful of Adiago chocolate honey and a splash of cream. SO GOOD

This was very tasty, but not as interesting as I had hoped. The chocolate flavor was more subtle and less complex than I'd expected. I think I need to experiment some with brew time and temperature, so I'm hopeful it'll get there, but as of now, it's just fine. Certainly not bad, but not my favorite.

This tea is full of warm aromas and has just enough a hint of chocolate to satisfy your tastebuds without being overwhelming.
★★★★★
A delicious tea, perfect if you want something that's a little sweet. This tea has enough flavor to have with no added sweetener but for those that like a sweeter tea, a small amount of honey is a delicious addition.
★★★☆☆
The tea is good but not what I would expect for chocolate truffle. I think there are too many flavors which mask the chocolate and don't give a rich truffle flavor. It is a good cup of tea but not as advertised.

This is delicious. At first I didn t think I loved it more than my other black teas, yet I kept choosing it until it was the first bag where I needed to buy a refill! I don t add sugar to it. The taste is chocolatey yet not overdone and the black tea underneath is very good. It s become a staple here.
★★★★★
A rich, smooth flavor that isn't too overwhelming! It's a great drink, especially for someone with a sweet tooth!

This is one of my new winter favorites! I love the caffeine boost and the chocolately richness of this black tea.

Decadent and smooth, this chocolate tea is dessert in a cup. Definitely prefer this chocolate tea over others as the chicory and dark chocolate chips elevate the flavor and gives it a more layered feel.
★★★★★
Exactly as expected. Warm, chocolate hints and dark tea blend.

The first 2 orders were great I would rate 5 stars. The last last orders was horrible! It tasted like caramel coffee. ( I drink tea because I dislike coffee.)What a disappointment. Since I opened the package I would have to take a 35% hit to return it so I’ll save it for my coffee drinking family and friends. I hope Adagio can remember the original recipe so I can order it again.
THEY DID IT! Tastes just as good if not better than the first one I ordered. Great job!
★★★★★
This tea is great! Its all the fun of hot chocolate, but also tea!
★★★★★
It's true that finding a chocolate tea that tastes authentic (not the plastic-y artificial chocolate flavor) is difficult. I would say this tea is one of the few I've found that truly lives up to the chocolate name. It's rich, and velvety, and all around delightful. Add cream and sugar for a milk chocolate truffle taste!

Not sure yet. Chocolate was very very subtle. Going to keep making adjustments with temp and steep time
