Ceylon tea and rich dark chocolate flavor. Decadent chocolate liquor texture, brightened by the tang of the Ceylon.

★★★★★

Really great! Wonderful malty and dark chocolate taste! Delicious mixed with the hazelnut tea!

★★★★☆

a decent chocolate tea, though i prefer the chocolate chips.

★★★★★

I got the tea in about 20 minutes ago and oh my gosh. Just the smell of the tea makes me hungry. The tea it's self was smooth.

I was hoping to like this more than I actually did. It smells wonderful but it's a little disappointing in taste. I think I'll have to try the chocolate chip tea to see if that's more along the lines of what I'm looking for.

★★★★☆

It smells good, but off. Once you make tea with it, it smells great and tastes good. The smell just threw me off at first.

★★★★☆

Very nice on its own, also good blended with other teas.

★★★☆☆

The smell of the tea leaves gives me a little bit of a headache if I leave the bag open for too long, but it's absolutely lovely on a cold day. In my opinion, it works better blended with another tea, rather than alone.

This had become a hearty welcome to my little collection. The chocolate flavor is present but not so overwhelming that you lose the charm and pleasantness of the black tea as well.

★★★★☆

Literally smells like a candy store! Makes the perfect dessert tea!

★★★★★

Delicious, smooth. Not too heavy on the chocolate flavor. It's a great fix for that afternoon chocolate craving. Will definitely be ordering more of this!

★★★★★

Great tea! It has a rich chocolate aroma and the flavor is heavenly. It's a nice treat.

★★★☆☆

The coco notes are much more subtle the than in the chocolate chip tea. If you're looking for something less overtly chocolate flavored, this is the tea for you.

★★★☆☆

I bought this as a birthday gift for my cousin, and she seems to enjoy it.

★★★★☆

On its own it has a weaker flavor than I prefer. However, I use one chocolate tea bag and one honeybush hazelnut tea bag together and the result is very delicious.

★★★★☆

This is a nice chocolate tea, but I think I like the smell more than the actual taste!

★★★★★

i don't know why Adagio offers 2 types of 'chocolate' tea ('chocolate' and 'chocolate chip')
they're so similar.

although i do like this better than 'chocolate chip' tea. perhaps because it is darker. it makes a good dessert tea.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorites. It smells wonderful and it blends well with other teas.

★★★☆☆

i personally like this, but my brother can't get his mind around the cocoa nibs, they're fruitier than chocolate, and he's convinced it's fake chocolate.

but like i said i enjoy it, a very nice tea to have around for mixing. i love it with caramel, or hazelnut, i don't drink it too often without mixing.

★★★★☆

This smells very much like sweet chocolate in the bag, with a kind of nutty undercurrent. When I brewed it the two notes switched places! I get more of an almond flavor, but closer to an actual almond rather than every almond-flavored tea I've ever tasted, and chocolate comes through as more of an aftertaste... kind of odd but I can't say that I don't enjoy it. Adagio kindly included this as a free sample but I could see it being an alternative when I don't feel like coffee if I ever decide to order it myself.

★★☆☆☆

I ordered this tea because I thought that it would be like the Ten blend, which has chocolate and guava banana. It is way too bitter for my tastes, but if you sweeten it up a bit, this might taste good. I know it goes great in Ten

★★★★☆

Sent to my friend as a free sample. She said, 'It was just what I needed after a long day of work.'

★★★★★

I love chocolate...who doesn't. But I got this to mix with strawberry decaf and vanilla decaf. I didn't even try it alone. The mix, which is essentially Libra tea, is my absolute favorite. It SMELLS and TASTES divine. I recently discovered that it's even BETTER iced or at least room temp. The flavors come out more

★★★☆☆

Like the cocomint, I love adding in a little dash of this to current tea blends for an extra bit of flavor :)

★★★★★

i actually added a little milk and it tasted great

★★★★★

This tea is fine as it is, but even better with a hint of sugar added. Tastes just like Chocolate!

★★★★☆

good flavored tea - nothing to write home about per se, but good.

★★★★★

Has an intense flavor that I like to blend with other flavors (like vanilla and hazelnut) or moderate with a generous splash of milk.

★★★★☆

Exactly what I expect from a chocolate tea. Great smell, better flavor, and very sweet. Highly enjoyable and delicious.

A good dessert tea, especially mixed with other flavors.

always good on its own or with other blends like a chai :) i like to mix it with cream as well

Adagios chocolate flavor was reformulated I think, because this tastes a lot different than it used to. It's stronger and more like dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. Not bad but I prefer this way it used to be.

★★★★★

The name of this tea is 'Chocolate.' I don't know what more there is to say to make you want to drink this tea.

I really wanted to like this tea, but I just feel kind of 'meh' about it. Based on the smell I was expecting something cocoa-y and kind of dark, but it's quite astringent and the chocolate taste is just barely there. Actually, if this tea wasn't labeled 'chocolate', I wouldn't know that's what it is. It doesn't taste BAD, but it's also not what I expected based on the name and smell.

★★★★☆

Tasty, warm, not too overpowering. Love this one for blending!

★★☆☆☆

It might be me, but I didn't enjoy this tea. It's taste was reminiscent of sugar-free chocolate, with that false sweet flavor that I can't quite place. Milk and sugar helped, and I may mix it with some other teas to see what happens, but I won't be ordering this one again.

This is quite delicious, in both aroma and flavor. It is not very bitter, and is quite delightful when mixed with Vanilla.

This blend was simply ok. I previously purchased Chocolate Chip, and I think that's a much better tea. This tea doesn't taste bad, it's just missing something.

★★★★★

MMMMM! I love this chocolate tea! Hints of chocolate and not overpowering.

★★★★☆

This flavor was pretty good. Did not taste much of the chocolate but the smell was wonderful of the leaves. Still high quality tea. Just there are better at adagio.

★☆☆☆☆

ewwwwwww I have come to the conclusion I dont like sweet teas. The flavor and smell was sooo strong!

★★★★☆

On it's own its not the best, but it mixes nicely with other flavors. I personally prefer the chocolate chip but this still tasted quite nice.

★★★☆☆

I thought this was a little too strong. I've been told that it mixes well with other teas, then with some added sweetener and milk, it's just fine.

★★★★★

This tea is fabulous! The scent of the tea when I opened it reminded me of a nice powdered cocoa. The tea when brewed made my whole house smell of baked goods. The taste of the tea was distinct but not too strong. I used just a hint of sugar to really enhance the flavor. I really enjoyed it.

★★★☆☆

As others have mentioned, the nose on this tea is better than the taste. It's ok, but there are better black flavors that do a better job of carrying the smell into the actual taste itself.

Between the chocolate chip tea and the chocolate tea, I greatly prefer this chocolate blend. It has an extremely smooth taste, but not to the point where I might as well be drinking hot chocolate. It's a very good balance between bitter tea and sweet chocolate.

I had read a 'Recipe' to use this tea with the almond and vanilla flavorings to make the tea taste like an almond joy. Very good, but definitely more of a dessert tea.

★★★★☆

This tea is so flavorful we like to blend it with other teas. Just a bit added to Irish Breakfast comes out great tasting.

On its own, this tea was a little plain. The awesome thing about this tea is its versatility in blending with other teas, such as hazelnut, vanilla or peppermint.
Update: I can't believe I rated it just ok. We have blown through a 3 oz bag in record time. Obviously better than I thought.

I love this flavor immensely. It mixes well with everything. I especially love it with Assam melody.
