This was my youngest s choice, so of course 'chocolate' appeals to a 5 year old! It was a good black tea, but I though the chocolate flavor was too mild.
Dark chocolate chips melt into our citrusy Ceylon black tea for the ultimate treat. Dense and soft chocolate flavor.

This was my youngest s choice, so of course 'chocolate' appeals to a 5 year old! It was a good black tea, but I though the chocolate flavor was too mild.
The smell and taste of chocolate without the guilt.
I wouldn't say its horrible and I wouldn't say its great...I'm really on the fence with this one. Will purchase another sample and try again...maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Delicious. I had mine with milk and sweetener it was like chocolate milk with a tea aftertaste. So good!
I usually take my tea plain, but tried this with a bit of milk and sugar and was pleasantly surprised by what a nice treat it was.
This is delicious!! Usually I'm underwhelmed by chocolate teas, but this is delightful. Smells super chocolatey and very flavorful
Loved this! Such a nice flavor that helped my sweet tooth craving. I had it with a little milk. Definitely going in my next order. (From July CommuniTEA box)
I'm disappointed this didn't taste as chocolatey as I'd hoped. It was okay, but a little too bland for my taste. Next time maybe I'll try adding cream.
Nice dark chocolate flavor, I think I might have preferred it better with creamer. Voted low due to first steep didn't taste as well as the second steep did to me.
Yummy. I love black tea and chocolate. I made a blend called rainwatcher. Search it, you might like it.
Richly deep cocoa flavor, light bitterness from the black tea, tastes much like a dark chocolate candy bar.
The chocolate has more of a chocolate liqueur smell. The tea is very mild and I personally feel like the chocolate taste is very subtle. It is good, but I do wonder if some of the other chocolate teas may provide more of a chocolate punch.
Nice and chocolatey without the calories of a cup of hot chocolate.
Great chocolate flavor that goes well with a little cream. A perfect dessert tea that isn’t overly sweet!
It's chocolate! Good for adding to blends, though the chocolate chips are a bit odd, but fun to look at.
Nice blend of black tea and chocolate. I think chocolate and tea are better separate than together, though.
This was a nice, mild black tea, and I enjoyed drinking it, but the chocolate flavor is pretty fake-tasting. It actually reminds me a lot of these chocolate-scented scratch-and-sniff stickers I had as a kid. I think I would liked this even more if I hadn't been drinking it knowing it was intended to be chocolate-flavored. As it was, I did enjoy it, and found it extra tasty with a bit of milk and honey.
Drunk plain, this tea has a mild, pleasant, dark chocolate taste. Drunk with milk, this tea tastes like hot chocolate (yum!). I'd recommend this tea is you're looking for a guilt-free hot chocolate substitute. Now if only there was a version of this in decaf!
Like most of the flavored black teas, this one ends a bit astringent. It also seems easy to over-steep. I followed the directions on the pouch, but I will probably knock a minute off, next time. Overall, it is a flavorful chocolate tea.
I sampled this tea as part of the July CommuniTEA. When I read the ingredients I was nervous because I’ve had a chocolate tea about 15 years ago and it wasn’t a good fit. This, however, is not that tea. The chocolate is subtle and supported by the firm black teas and cocoa nibs. As others have indicated, if you want this sweeter, simply add sweetener. I liked it as is and steeped for 3 minutes.
Mild chocolate flavor on a nice Ceylon base. I would probably double the tea quantity to get a strong cup that holds up to a spoonful of heavy cream.
I’ll preface this by saying I am not a fan of chocolate anything. Not even chocolate candy itself. That being said, I over brewed my sample and couldn’t drink it plain since it was so bitter. I added my Splenda and some milk and it was ok. Tasted a bit like hot chocolate/ovaltine. I could see how chocolate lovers would die for this. Was not a bad cup overall, just not a cup for me.
Nice chocolatey caffeinated tea to start my day. Good with creamer, so I made a tea latte. I sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTEA (July box).
Not my fave. smelled delicious, and on the back end I do get a bit of 'cookie dough' taste which is quite compelling. but not enough flavor in the cup for me.
Yum! I don't love black teas but this one reminds me of a mocha coffee. I don't ever drink milk in my tea but for those that do this could be the ticket. The chocolate flavor is perfect. It's a dark chocolate and I'm totally in.
It's a lovely dessert tea with half & half and a sweetener. The chocolate is subtle and goes well with the black tea. Not something that I would drink every day, but a nice treat as part of the communitea.
I loved this strong chocolate tea. It works well as a dessert tea.
It's a very mild chocolate taste -- in contrast to other reviewers, I feel like the black tea really overpowers the chocolate chips. So this may not be the tea for big time chocolate lovers. That said, the tea is decent. I'm not mad I'm drinking it. I was just hoping for more chocolate :)
Can get a little bitter, but nice with milk and sugar.
There are so many better chocolate teas out there. Most are heavy with cacao (or all cacao). I despise chocolate flavoring. Even when it's natural, it tastes artificial. I wish this had just used more cacao to boost the flavor.
Loved the taste of chocolate, though I'm not a fan of black tea. this one was wonderful!
Warning: don't oversteep this one. The liquid is dark in color, but will taste bitter if you oversteep. With a second cup and chocolate chips added (this was a communitea), the second cup was wonderful. There are plenty of wonderful suggested add-ins on the communitea chat. Many of us participating were looking forward to this day.
I think I would like this one better if I hadn't tried Tiger Eye or Chocolate Truffle. It's not as chocolate flavored as Chocolate Truffle, and not as complex as either of them. I keep thinking it's missing something. It's still good, but I'm thinking it might be better mixed in a blend.
First off I am not a fan of black tea or of chocolate teas. For me this tea was just okay. It was better as an iced latte.
Must love ❤️ chocolate. Be careful as to not steep to long ... it can get bitter.
I really enjoy this tea. I needed a caffeine kick today and this was wonderful. Great chocolate flavour without the bitter taste it can sometimes get in a tea. And it smells like a chocolate chip cookie.
Love the aroma. Nice and smooth with a black tea finish. Wish it was decaf.
Received this as part of my Communitea package for July and it is not a tea I would have normally purchased. This tea is dessert in a cup when just a bit of cream and sugar are added.
Decadent, but not too rich. Perfectly sweet. I swear I’m drinking hot chocolate!
This one is good, I added a little milk, this would make a good latte as well
Chocolate Chip is a nice way to have a sweet treat without feeling guilty.
I absolutely love this tea!!! It has just enough chocolate taste to make me think I'm having a sweet snack.
I actually add a few mini chocolate chips to this tea for an extra burst of chocolate flavor. Yum!
My girls love this tea! Definite chocolate flavor.
It has a nice mild chocolate taste and wonderful aroma. A little creamer helps add to the taste if you drink it without mixing it with other flavors. I personally enjoy mixing it with decaf strawberry.
Good taste. It really did taste like a chocolate chip cookie.
I'm pretty impressed, the chocolate flavor isn't *too* much, like others I've tried, and it's well balanced without being overly sweet.
Liked it very much! Tastes like chocolate chip cookies, but not too sweet.
This tea is good by itself, but I can see its full potential coming out when combined with other tea flavors.
Not great by itself but it's good with the candy cane tea. A scoop of each and a splash of milk. It's like a candy cane hot chocolate without being way too sweet and heavy.
