Everything one would hope for in a chocolate tea.
Updating this review since it has in fact become a staple in my life. Want a little extra pick me up without feeling guilty or getting punched in the face with flavor? (I'm looking at you, Chocolate Truffle Tea). This is for you! Great in the morning or afternoon. In this pandemic, this tea has been my #1 comfort.
It's chocolatey, but the predominance of tea in this blend without the addition of more bits and bobs like in the chocolate truffle means that it ends up pretty astringent... not what I want when I'm trying to have a moment with something dessert-y.
This makes the perfect afternoon sweet treat or dessert drink. I love to dunk a cookie in the tea as well.
this surprised me! i thought it was going to be an overwhelming black tea that is too strong. it wasn’t & i LOVE that! i also love the hint of chocolate! I give it 4 stars because i wish the chocolate would stand out more.
I like it. My family likes it. But it doesn’t taste like chocolate to me (faint hints maybe). Smells like dessert. UPDATE. I no longer like it. I think my palette changed. It now tastes like really cheap chocolate to me.
the chocolate flavor is there, but it has to contend with some bitter astringent black tea. Better with less steep time, but the chocolate is still the dark, bitter type, not bad, but I could go with some added sweetness.
The chocolate chips add just the right amount of sweetness.
Delightful treat any time you need a rich chocolate fix. I added some almond milk and it was a yummy delight.

Tastes very similar to the Chocolate Truffle. That one seems a touch more complex (the chicory maybe) so I ll probably stick to that one in the future. But this one s still a nice chocolatey tea.
This is still my favorite chocolate tea. I usually buy it by the pound. I loved this tea. It has tiny chocolate chips in it which gives it a great chocolate flavor. Would buy again.

This is the chocolatiest tea I've ever had. It's so delicious. It has a full bodied flavor and pairs well with vanilla soymilk. I make a tea concentrate and use about a 1/4 cup to make this delicious flavor into a latte. I also enjoy it mixed with vanilla and cream tea.
April 12: I’m purchasing this tea again for the first time and it still tastes as delicious as I remember. Now there is another chocolate tea that seems to do what chocolate chip has done in times past, for the richness of flavor. I’ll have to run a taste test, and see if chocolate chip tea still stands out from the rest.
I tried this along with the four varieties offered in the Chocolate Teas sampler. This is the best of Adagio's teas billed as chocolate.

I’m not fond of this tea, though I think that’s just my own personal taste. There’s an artificial quality to the flavor that I don’t enjoy at all.
It’s not the best. It takes a lot more tea to make a medium to strong brew, and it isn’t very chocolatey, despite the name. Would not repurchase.
As someone who has been enjoying chocolate chai for a long time, this is really nice for mixing things up with a more straightforward black tea that maintains that lovely chocolate flavor! One of my current favorite black teas.
I really like this tea. Good chocolate tea. Does not taste artificial. I like it as a largest milk and as sugar. Adagio makes the best chocolate teas.

Pretty tasty! A nice replacement for my mochas. I think I use too much and steep too long though. I still like it. Not as much as the Chocolate Truffle though.
I like this one better than their plain chocolate tea--a bit richer. For me, it's just a couple notches below their newer Chocolate Truffle tea.

This is a nice caffeinated tea to start my day! It's sweet but not too sweet. It makes me feel like I'm eating a chocolate croissant!

Smooth. Strong aroma of cocoa/slightly coffee mix. Does not leave a coffee flavor or taste, but leaves a faint cocoa on the sides of the tongue. Ideal to pair with something sweet not savory.

Has a similar flavor to the chocolate tea, but the 'tootsie roll' taste is more masked by a proper chocolate flavor. Still good, but chocolate truffle is still a much better option in my opinion.

This tea was not my personal favorite. However, it tastes exactly as it states, chocolatey! If you like a chocolate flavored tea, this is for you.
