I don't recommend drink that tea by it's self, it is much better with some milk or cream and a touch of sugar.
Dark chocolate chips melt into our citrusy Ceylon black tea for the ultimate treat. Dense and soft chocolate flavor.

I don't recommend drink that tea by it's self, it is much better with some milk or cream and a touch of sugar.
The addition of chocolate chips and cocoa nibs made Adagio's bitter chocolate black tea even more bitter. That is to say, the additions detract more than they add. I would love it if Adagio did a chocolate pu erh. I think that would give the creamy effect a chocolate tea should rightfully have.
Normally I don't like chocolate teas that much, but this one has such a good chocolately flavor.
The smell was amazing, but the chocolate flavor wasn't as strong as I would have expected.
I think this one beats all the artificial chocolate tasting ones. The valentines, tiger eye, and chocolate are no match for this tea. Great for blending.
Terrific tea. Tastes amazing with milk and sugar, almost like chocolate milk.
best mixed with coconut or other flavor to help cut back on the bitterness. Update- the flavor can wear out it's welcome quite quickly due to it's extremely bold taste.
I like the chocolate flavor quite a bit, and I love blending it together with candy cane and hazelnut.
Not a very strong tea, I had to add a good bit of sugar and a little milk to bring out the full flavor but it's a really sweet treat. And now I can say i have chocolate tea and get astonished stares.
This was an unexpected treat. I thought it would be too strong and was anticipating adding milk to smooth it down, but it actually brewed a dark golden instead of black and was pleasantly sweet!
Not as chocolatey as I would have liked but still good. I think a lower quality ceylon was used for this though.
Absolutely fantastic tea! I mixed mine with the caramel and it tasted like a melted Hershey's caramel kiss. My daughter loved it as well and she hates tea!
For starts, this tea is very cooperative. Sometimes I like brewing it a bit under-time because it prevents any bitterness from arising, and the chocolate taste is definitely there. Goes great with the Raspberry. Ohoh.
Something about the smell of this tea was a bit bitter. The taste is okay, more cocoa than milk chocolate over black tea.
A perfect chocolate fix. I love this tea, and cream tends to bring out the flavor. Even better when I mix it with a little raspberry tea, too!
I received a free sample bag with my latest order. I loved the smell. Very chocolatey. The taste is good. Definitely makes a good dessert tea. I liked it. I didn't love it...I am still addicted to Valentines for my chocolate fix. But Chocolate Chip works well as a dessert tea. Not bad.
I love this! Adagio's chocolate tea has a great chocolate aroma that's not too sweet and not too bitter. The chocolate chips are a great idea and make the tea creamier. Delightful stuff.
I didn't like this tea. Not much of a chocolate taste, and what I could taste didn't sit well with the tea flavor for me.
What can I say. Chocolate tea with little white chocolate chips...mmm. I love it hot with milk. Unfortunately, I'm very caffeine sensitive so this is a rare treat. I usually mix it with decaf vanilla and decaf strawberry...equal parts of each. It's my go to tea. With milk in the morning, it's like a rich ambrosia.
I am usually not a fan of chocolate teas, but I really like to mix this with spearmint and make it taste like mint chocolate chip ice-cream!
I expected this to be a lot stronger. It smells deliciously decadent in the bag but isn't quite so potent in the cup. Pity.
A lovely dessert tea for curling up on a rainy day! It's sweet, but this black tea is made even softer when blending it with honeybush chocolate for some extra chocolatey yumminess!
Great smell, rich chocolatey flavor without being overwhelming. Tastes good hot or iced, straight or with a little milk and rock sugar. I'll definitely buy some more and plan to mix it with my other samples.
Um--yeah--chocolate chips are sitting right inside the bag with the tea---what's not to like??
This tea is absolutely fab for anyone who's watching their figure and can't have those midnight chocolate ice cream fixes. This is delicious, strong, and is good with a dash of milk!
Tasted like Abuelita without the cinnamon and was rather weak.
I added added cream and sugar to this after brewing it extra strong. It tasted like hot chocolate.
This was my first 'real' tea that I have tried. The smell was fantastic and the flavor was so different from the bagged teas that I have tried and have never been able to drink. My husband has been encourging me to try good tea and I am glad that I listened to him.
The chocolate taste was a bit light to me. When I blended it with other teas I could barely taste it. I'll add more next time, but on its own this tea is great with some milk
I wasn't expecting it to really taste like chocolate, just smell like it, but it does, which was pleasantly surprising. My new favorite writing tea. Will definitely order again.
Why why why did I order just a sample and not a great big bag of this? It's amazing. In the bag it smells like coffee beans roasting and in the cup it tastes like everything wonderful in the world distilled into a drink.
Not a very full taste. More like chocolate flavored water.
Like the Valentines blend, this one also tasted like chocolate and tea rather than overly watered hot cocoa. It's not as good as the Valentines, but better than the regular Chocolate tea.
This was a very dark tasting tea to me. I brewed it a few different times and it's still very strong and only slightly chocolatey kind of reminds me of coffee.
I got this tea for the purpose of blending it with other teas. It tastes pretty good on its own, but the chocolate chips melt in the first steep, making the second not as tasty.
Tastes much more like coffee than chocolate, but still good.
When I was offered a free sample with my last order, I decided to pick something that I knew I wouldn't otherwise try. The chocolate chip chai sounded interesting, but honestly didn't smell great dry in the store. Once it's steeping though, it smells great. The chocolate component isn't too strong, and this is now surprisingly one of my favorite teas - especially in the evening as a dessert tea!
I don't know what I was expecting. Maybe something like hot chocolate? It smells wonderful, but that's about the end of it. I tried making it a few times, with different dressings and different steeping times, but it always just tasted like burnt coffee grounds. Shame, I wanted so much for it to be great.
I was just a tad bit disappointed that this tea wasn't more chocolatey, because it smells like pure chocolate in the bag. But after drinking it, I tried a cup of hot chocolate and found it way too sweet. I think a cup of this with a little bit of sweetener is a perfect compromise. Great when you need a chocolate fix.
Serious chocolate notes! Adding milk
This is boldly chocolaty and is great both alone and in a blend.
I mixed this with cream tea and it made for a nice, rich treat. It tastes nice but it easy to oversteep.
Really like this tea. It has a heavy mouth-feel due to the chocolate chips, and I really like that. With some sugar and milk, it's reminiscent of hot chocolate. I also like to blend it with other flavors, like Orange, Cream, and Spearmint.
Clear chocolate flavor, definitely a dark chocolate more than a milk chocolate. Tastes even better with a little vanilla syrup. Next step: try it with creamer!
This tea smells wonderful in the bag, almost like a chocolate liquor. I let it steep for the recommended 3 minutes, but I found it was rather weak and will probably let it go a bit longer next time. It's good with or without sugar, but a little sweetener with a splash of milk makes for a great cup!
I like to drink my teas plain, so I don't know if adding sugar and/or milk would bring out the chocolate flavor more. It's a nice tea with a subtle chocolate flavor.
Very smooth - a great way to satisfy a sweet tooth, or would make a wonderful companion to your favorite dessert. Excellent hot with a little bit of milk.
A very good tea. As someone who does not have a very large sweet tooth it was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed it very much.
I wasn't sure that I would like this tea because I have never been a fan of dessert teas. The dark chocolate smell is heavenly and I loved the subtle chocolate flavor of the tea is wonderful. It was a great tea to drink on a rainy day watching a movie.
Wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this flavor...loved it. Nice surprise!
