Mixing chocolate with tea was a very interesting idea, but one that is a little too overwhelming for me. Overall, something that I think others would like but something that I was not too fond of.
Dark chocolate chips melt into our citrusy Ceylon black tea for the ultimate treat. Dense and soft chocolate flavor.

Mixing chocolate with tea was a very interesting idea, but one that is a little too overwhelming for me. Overall, something that I think others would like but something that I was not too fond of.
This is a nice tea to treat the sweet tooth, but it doesn't really taste very chocolately to me.
This tea was a suprise for me...I was leary of trying it, but it turned out to be pretty good. I got the sample, but I think I will order more.
Creamy, and great to drink with milk or half and half. Mild chocolatey flavor. Smells great.
it tasted less like chocolate and more like coffee.
This tea is very good with milk, but lacks a strong chocolate flavor. you must be mindful of the infuser you use with this tea - I made my first cup with a paper tea filter, and only realized after I poured the water in that there was no way the chocolate was going to get out of the bag and into the cup (it was still a nice creamy tea, just no chocolate). I tried it in a traditional tea ball the next time, and it did have more of a chocolate flavor, but still not very strong. Overall a nice tea, but it could use some more chocolate. In fact I may throw some mini chocolate chips in my next cup.
I am not a chocolate-person, so the idea of a tea that was not only chocolate-flavored but actually had -chips- in it was not high on my list of things I'd enjoy drinking. I was actually quite surprised to learn that this tea not only mixes well, but has a slightly coffee-like aroma compared to just the straight-up chocolate tea. Perfect for those who might be happier with a mocha on a given day.
Simple tea, great taste. A sweet treat for anyone who loves their tea and chocolate indulgences!
It made a nice dessert tea. I added a few drops of vanilla.
Very tastey! I enjoyed this plain or sweetened as a dessert. If Im looking for something sweet, but not fruity, this will be my new go to.
This tea is warm and chocolatey without overpowering the flavor of the black tea. I tried it both plain and with sugar, it's delicious either way!
I LOVE this tea! This may be my new go-to tea. Not too strong of a flavor, and not fake-chocolately tasting. I highly recommend this if you like chocolatey tea.
This is a yummy one! It's not as 'chocolatey' as I would have liked, however it is great with a splash of milk and touch of sugar late at night when I'm craving something sweet.
Needs more chocolate flavor. Weak in comparison to black tea, but good with some milk and sugar.
needs no cream or sugar, I don't use that in my tea anyway. Perfect hint of chocolate :)
ehhh... this is an alright flavored tea. It tastes and smells like chocolate alright, but I just can't quite get into it.
Love this tea! Delicious and fun, is also a great addition to other teas (coconut or almond, for example) if you're a tea blender.
This tea is delicious! It goes absolutely wonderfully with homemade butter cookies, and the chocolate flavor is well-balanced with the tea. I added just a bit of sugar after it was brewed, and it was perfect. I'll definitely be getting this again.
I wish the chocolate flavor was stronger, but otherwise it's a nice, mellow tea.
Tasty and black with a chocolatey feel, but not too extreme.
A bit less sweet on its own than I thought it would be, so I still had to add sweetner to it. With milk, it's nice and creamy, a bit like tea with some chocolate milk mixed in. Has a nice rich flavor and definitely tastes delicious.
Strong, smooth and indulgent. A little sugar really brings out its sweetness. If you love chocolate chip cookies but are watching your figure this tea is definitely for you.
While steeping this tea, it gives off a unique smell but the flavor is amazing! Definitely a favorite in our house! :)
sooo much better than the chocolate blend, if deciding between the two definitely go with this one.
This tea is rich and fragrant and I absolutly LOVE IT! Many teas smell great but don't taste as strong as the flavors smell... well this tea tastes like it smells! It's my favorite and I bought a few packs as gifts for friends for this Christmas!
It completely lived up to expectations. It smelled heavenly in the bag and steeped well. On it's own, it is well rounded and not overly sweet. With milk and sugar it was perfect! A great tea for coffee drinkers transitioning into tea, especially if they enjoy flavored coffee. Will definitely keep this one in mind.
This tea was great as I mixed it with:
Valentines and Honeybush Vanilla
Candy Cane and Honeybush Vanilla.
I'll be drinking the candy cane blend all day. It's a very pure chocolatey taste but isn't too bitter. It makes any blend decadent and indulgent. I would absolutely recommend this, especially as a blend to create dessert type teas!
The perfect blend of chocolate and guilt free love. Even the boyfriend likes it, and he's not a tea drinker.
My favorite! I add cream to this and it is heavenly!
my newest favorite tea. The moment i opened the bag i was greeted with a very alluring chocolate aroma. This tea definitely draws you in. Then the initial taste was splendid. super chocolatey and will definitely by a favorite for the chocolate lovers out there.
This is a very strong tea with a slight bitterness and a bit of creaminess as well. The dry tea is strong out of the bag so I made a cup mixed with some Vanilla tea. That's a very good (and fairly obvious) combination that resulted in a rather coffee-like bitterness, and the chocolate overwhelms the vanilla which takes a back seat but serves to smooth out the strength of the chocolate flavor. This is a tasty and distinct tea that I believe I'll use more as part of a mix than on its own, and the chocolate chip/vanilla mix may well be what I turn to in situations where other people would have coffee.
This tea is good on it's own, however I prefer to mix it together with other flavors.
I was hoping for it to be stronger, but even so, it still had a wonderful flavor. All in all very enjoyable.
This is my very, very, very favorite tea in the whole wide world! You've got to try it! Especially wonderful with a warm cookie to go with it! :)
This tea didn't have the sweetness I imagined it would have, but I still enjoyed it. I'll be sure to try it with milk the next time I have some.
Lovely chocolate flavor-- a bit sharp if you don't watch the steeping time, though! Mix it with the caramel!
When I first opened the bag, I wanted to stick my head in it forever. However, this tea tasted like bitter baking chocolate. I'm sure that if I had mixed in milk, it would've tasted better.
Not as chocolatey tasting as the description makes it sound, and I found there was a bitter aftertaste to this tea that I'd hoped the chocolate would mellow (but didn't).
great flavor, can't get enough of it! I liked it with 2 spoons of sugar. I'm going to try adding some vanilla next time)
The chocolate flavor was actually pretty convincing to me-- not cloyingly artificial. I couldn't resist the urge to pick out some of the chocolate chips and eat them before brewing.
I hate chocolate coffees that taste artificial, so I approached my first chocolate tea with trepidation. There was no need - I really liked it! The tea was nice and strong black tea, and the chocolate flavor was wonderfully dark and somewhat bitter when I drank it with just a little Truvia added. After adding a bit more of the stevia and a wee splash of milk, it was like drinking dessert. Nice.
A great way to help that chocolate craving without the extra calories! Great flavor
Very good, smooth and clean taste for a black tea.
I'm a big fan of Tiger Eye, and I wasn't expecting this to taste as much like that as it does. It's nice for a sweet treat, and tastes less like a coffee substitute than the Tiger Eye.
Was hoping for a little more chocolate flavor, but it was still good. The black tea and chocolate compliment each other very well. I like to blend this with the Cream and Cinnamon black teas (3 tsp., 2 tsp, 1 tsp. respectively) and add some sweetener.
I was surprised by how un-chocolatey it was. I added a bit of vanilla tea in and some coconut for fun, but it seemed a bit bitter, so I added milk, then added more milk. I generally don't drink tea with sugar, so this probably isn't the best if you're looking for a sweet tea without adding sweeteners.
This is my first time trying loose leaf tea, and it is amazing. It smells so delicious, and tastes even better.
I've enjoyed this in a number of blends, so I had to try it by itself. I love it! This is definitely for the dark chocolate fans (so it's perfect for me), just this side of bitter with terrific depth and subtlety. I drink my tea plain, no milk or sweetener, and this works beautifully - less like a cup of hot chocolate (which is often too 'creamy' for me) than a bite from an understated, elegant bar of dark chocolate. Yum.
I didn't get a lot of the chocolate flavor like I was expecting, but it's possible I didn't get enough chocolate chips in my scoop when I made it. It was still enjoyable though
This is a lovely, chocolatey tea. More bitter than I was expecting, but in a good way. The chocolate flavor lingers after each sip. Nicely aromatic. The smell is stronger than the flavor, which I enjoyed, but it does mean you can't judge whether it's done off scent. I put it in longer than the packaging suggested--I don't think it's strong enough at only three minutes. I'd definitely buy this again.
