Oh, my. Generally it seems that chocolate teas are more chocolatey in theory than in practice, but I'm happy to report that this one is an exception to that rule. In the bag it smells quite strong, but the resulting brew softens to a rich, deep chocolate aroma. Straight up there is a suggestion of dark chocolate and an almost coffee-like flavor. With honey and milk added it becomes a fabulous dessert brew. Yum! UPDATE: As part of a personal goal to reduce the amount of added sugar in my diet I elected to enjoy this with only a splash of milk this evening and am happy to report that it's still incredibly delicious, just not quite as decadent as previous incarnations.

Chocolate Chip Tea Is Awesome I Love To Mix It With Hazelnut One Of My Favorite Blends :)

Not my favorites dessert tea, surprisingly, but still pretty good. I wish this was... a bit more creamy, perhaps?

Got this as a free sample with my order and I LOVE it! I put a little vanilla sweetener and milk in it and it is wonderful!! I would definitely recommend to any chocolate lover :]

The Hershey's syrup smell alone is addicting. I tend to go for spices over candy flavors in tea, but chocolate chip is a nice, smooth tea that goes well with milk and sugar. I use a little extra tea and give it extra steeping time so it takes the milk better.

One of the best of the teas I've gotten from Adagio so far. The chocolate flavor is more like a dark chocolate, very rich. It's not super sweet and fake tasting, even with sugar and milk it doesn't get like hot chocolate. It actually reminds me of coffee, with cream and only a little sugar. It's great. Will definitely reorder.

I was hoping that this would be sweeter, but it was actually a little bitter to me. I will work on steep times and brew temp. Hopefully that will fix it.

it smelled more like dark chocolate which turned me off a bit at first, but the taste was sweet and yummy with just a bit of sugar.

I received a sample of this in my last order, and I've got to admit I'm a little disappointed. The tea is actually quite a bit less chocolaty than I expected-the chips don't melt all that well so you wind up leaving the majority of them behind in the infuser. While it's definitely not a bad tea, it's just not anything special.

Definitely my newest alternative to having a hot cuppa chocolate milk!

Not a bad tea, the chocolate is very mellow, and makes the tea kind of a weird consistency since they are actual bits of chocolate in there, it muds up the tea bit.

Normally, I just can't get into chocolate teas for some reason - but this one is definitely the best of any I've tried, with a strong chocolate flavor and wonderful aroma (you'll want a chocolate bar with it!) Definitely best hot. It's good alone, but also nice to mix with teas like cream, vanilla, or caramel.

Not the tea for me, but it definitely has potential to be a treat for those with a sweet tooth.

Tastes like what it says, Chocolate Chip cookies. Reminds me of Chips Ahoy. Yummy.

Got this because I was wondering what the difference between this and the regular chocolate was. Not sure how to describe it other than the difference between semi-sweet chocolate chips and a chocolate bar in terms of scent, not sweetness. I think I prefer just chocolate over this.

The chocolate tastes artificial and it wasn't as sweet as I expected.

I really enjoy this chocolate tea. It's a cool, dark chocolate flavor, not as heavy as the chocolate chai (though still plenty forceful) and not as sweet as the honeybush chocolate.

The flavor isn't super intense and in your face, but it's still very good. Smooth and subtle. Enjoyable on it's own, nice addition to a blend.

this has a very good chocolatey smell that holds up when tasted. it gets stronger with sweetener and tastes more like chocolate, but it's all right on its own as well. just as good as a hot chocolate drink, minus loads of terrible ingredients.

I got this as my free sample from my last order, and Im glad I picked this one, its the perfect dessert tea for me and smells heavenly.

I'm not usually a fan of flavored teas, but ordered a sample of this out of curiosity. I was pleasantly surprised by the mocha notes, almost coffee-like aroma and flavor. A nice change of pace from my usual plain black teas for a mid-morning pick-me-up.

More chocolatey than I thought it would be. Doesn't have the bitter taste most adagio teas have. I think it would make a good chai, I plan on trying it with some masala spices later.

This is a very good tea. The chocolate flavor is richer than in the regular chocolate tea.

This is a wonderful, tasty tea as is. I enjoy it in the morning. However, me being a chocolate fiend, I have to say it is not chocolate-y enough which is a little disappointing. I enjoy this tea and will purchase it again but tastes more like coffee than chocolate chip. Luckily that is nothing some chocolate honey or syrup can't fix.

This tea is so much fun to drink and can lighten any mood. I love the chocolate chip accents :)

Once brewed, it smells very chocolate-y. The taste isn't particularly noteworthy, though I suppose combining chocolate chips and tea is a bit too odd for me.

I was a little hesitant to buy this, but I'm glad that I did. Chocolate and tea seemed like a strange combination at first, but this tea is fantastic. The chocolate melts completely into the tea so there is no mess, but you cannot get a second infusion because of this.

This tea was okay. I don't usually love chocolate teas but the chocolate in it was very subtle so it wasn't so bad. I will finish up what I have but I don't know if I'd buy again.

This is such a wonderful chocolate tea and I love to mix it with a little vanilla tea. It makes the flavor that much richer!

Boy oh boy does this smell fantastic! It has a nice subtle chocolatey taste and is good for any time of day.

Smell was too strong! I did not like this cup! My sister didnt like it either.

Great iced with almond milk and a little big sugar.

The tea tastes great and has a very rich chocolatey flavor. Also do not put this into your IngenuiTEA or tea maker - the chocolate chips melt.

Wonderful. One of the best teas I've tasted so far. Lovely chocolate flavor, smells wonderful in the bag and brewed. I can tell it's going to be a great one for blends, too. An easy favorite!

sooo good, it tastes exactly like chocolate chip, and as you can imagine, that's veryyyy yummy as a tea!!

I loved it. It had just enough Chocolatey taste for me.

I was surprised. this tea was really good. It wasn't enough to satisfy a chocolate craving, but I'm thinking with some milk or cream it would be good.

This tea can become very strong if allowed to steep for too long, but has a wonderful flavor. I was a little concerned that the flavors of black tea and chocolate would not mix well, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I am not a fan of this tea. The added chocolate flavor was very overwhelming and it has an almost nauseating and chokingly sweet scent to it when freshly steeped. I found it ok when added to spiced Chai. It gave the Chai mix an interesting flavor note. I will use it up that way, but can't stomach it on its own. I'd say this tea is best used in blends, or maybe with lots of milk (think hot chocolate).

This tea was delightful! It has a great chocolate flavor that's very smooth and sweet, and not artificial tasting. I had mine with a packet of Sugar in the Raw and a bit of milk, and it almost had a hot chocolate-y taste to it. A wonderful tea when you want a sweet treat!

While not my favorite, I still like this tea. On it's own, it can be a little bit bitter to me. But with cream, it warms up to me and tastes like a milk chocolate bar. It is something I consider a dessert tea, though, and can still look forward to a sweet end with this. I just wish it had a more prominent chocolate flavor on it's own.

The smell is very powerful, but the taste is mild. The combination of the tea and the chocolate balances out well. I tried it with milk and it was fantastic.

Really enjoyed this blend. It tastes a bit like a liquid chocolate chip cookie. Best with milk and a touch of sugar.

I LOVE how this tea smells, and it tastes like a delicious black tea. I am not getting a strong chocolatey taste, but I keep forgetting to shake the tea before scooping some out and the chocolate chips are probably all at the bottom of the bag :)

To me, this tea tasted faintly like a weak chocolate liqueur, rather than an actual chocolate bar. I was expecting more chocolate chips, I guess. It was pretty good with some milk and sugar, but did not taste as I expected.

This tea is the perfect after dinner or afternoon accompaniment. It feels like such a treat. Everyone I've shared this with loves it. I found it to be pretty subtle. Neither the tea taste nor the chocolate tastes were too overwhelming. It's the perfect blend if you're looking for the taste of chocolate in a light bodied tea.

Although I prefer the Valentines tea, this one is great too. I think the chocolate and black tea is just a great mix. I tried this with the Spiced Apple...EXCELLENT! I'd be willing to bet this would go great with other teas. But, it's also nice by itself. It has a rich, chocolaty flavor. It's not sweet, just awesome tasting :)
