I love this tea! A little bitter, but I think I just steep it too long. I love the maple flavor. Chestnuts remind me of my grandpa. :) I'll have to share this with him I think he will like it. This tea is amazing with a splash of milk!
After reading the rave reviews on this, I simply had to try it. And y'know what? They were right. It's a wonderfully woodsy tea with a sort of maple-syrup aroma. Autumn in a cup.
This was surprisingly delicious! To me, it has a brown sugar-y, maple syrup-y smell in the bag, but brewed up it really does have a roasted chestnut flavor to it. The sweetness is still there, but in the background and the aftertaste. I drank this black, but I bet with a little sugar and hot milk, it would make an amazing latte! I think I might have to order more of this one. ^_^
This is one of my favorite teas. It is extremely flavorful without being overwhelming.

'Chestnut tea review: The smell in the bag wasn't very appealing to me. I had a bit of trepidation when it came time to try it. Once brewed, per instructions, it was a more subtle, nutty smell and taste. I like my tea sweet, so a spoon of sugar and a splash of milk made it a wonderful, cozy tea.'

One of my favorite teas. It has a well balanced sweet taste even without sugar. I just wish it came in a caffeine free version, so I could drink it all day.
Not really wild about this one, though it's alright with milk and a little sugar. Something about the flavor is too rich for me. it ends up tasting like a Starbucks syrup drink.

Love this tea! Great flavor. Very strong. Steeps really well for a few cups. Definitely a favorite to keep on hand. Love that it comes in the teabags now so I can bring it to work. Definitely a holiday favorite to share!
A very definite flavor, nutty, sweet, and rich. Pairs excellently with pastry and chocolate. Distinct and not for everyone or every day drinking, but really enjoyable.
The coziest tea. Even better than the hazelnut. I like mixing it with fruit flavors.
I love this tea. The flavor is subtle but very smooth and pleasant. I haven't noticed any bitterness to the tea, and it's ok for a couple of transfusions.

I had sampled this tea at a local tea house and fell in love! I normally enjoy jasmine and oolongs but after that sample, it felt like the perfect chilly day tea. I was so excited when my order arrived and even more so when it tasted just as I hoped it would - just like the cup at the tea house! I will say an unexpected effect has been that whenever I have made it and someone walks into the room, they ask what smells like maple syrup...yet I don't notice that...probably because I am the one drinking it!

i got a sample of this, it's amazing! so i ordered a pound with the free shipping, to me this is how a flavored tea should be... i am not sure it actually tastes like pure chestnut (i love chestnuts) but also seems to have maple and malted milk type flavors... just wonderful for winter
My favorite holiday/winter tea that I've tried from adagio. It's warm and has an almost maple taste to it.
Possibly my new favorite tea of all time. I love the toasty, sweet flavor on a cold morning. I have given samples of this as gifts as well.
I've never eaten chestnuts, but I've liked the nut-flavored teas I've had so far, and I recently had Starbucks' Chestnut Praline Latte and loved that. When I opened the bag, the smell instantly reminded me of what I had at Starbucks, so I fully expected to love this tea and mourn the fact that it's one of the limited edition ones. However, this turned out not to be for me.
I tried my first cup plain, and the flavor was surprisingly bitter and clung unpleasantly to my tongue. The second steeping didn't taste much better. After that, I tried it with almost a teaspoon of sugar and half a teaspoon of cream. To my relief, that made it taste much better, although still not something I'm interested in getting again. I've decided that, if I'm going to go with a nut-flavored tea, Adagio's hazelnut is by far the better option - unlike this chestnut tea, that one is smooth and mild enough that I can drink it plain.

This tea is great, has a delicious smell - very nutty! The taste was also very enjoyable, especially with a bit of cream. I'm looking forward to more of this tea.
I love chestnuts. I love chestnut flavored things. I definitely thought I would love this tea, and I did.
The tea leaves have a much stronger aroma than I expected, and I got quite excited because it smelled amazing. Once brewed, it was sweet and nutty. I added sugar, but I could drink it with or without sweetener. Something about it smells very much like dry Thai tea leaves: rich, sweet, and woody/nutty. It might be just me, but something reminiscent of maple comes through on the back end. Still, I wouldn't call it maple-syrupy at all.
I like the nutty taste and the black tea, as an alternative to coffee. It's a good tea.
This tea is dark, rich, and smells amazing. The chestnut is the perfect complement to the black tea. One of my favorites that I've tasted.

Didn't think I'd like chestnut tea but this is so good! It's very earthy and slightly sweet to the taste without sugar. Very smooth. I'd compare it to a nice full bodied red wine in the tea world.

Lovely tea. it tastes like Christmas! I tried it both with and without milk, and was actually quite surprised that despite the sweetness and nuttiness, I preferred it black. Very tasty, and very comforting on a cold evening.

I have a term paper on astronomy (which I know nothing about) due in a few weeks and I haven't started it, and the skies keep throwing freezing cold sideways rain down at me, but I don't care. Um, amazing? Amazing. Makes the whole house smell marvelous. Our 9m old spilled some on himself (cooled) and I found myself sniffing him throughout the day, much to his amusement. Just buy a 16oz bag at the get-go because delicious.

This is a really rich and toasty tea. It's great to enjoy in the evenings with a little milk. It is pretty astringent though, so if you don't like that maybe only order a sample to start with.

This tea is Autumn in a cup! All of the glorious wonders of the season shine through in this tea. . .rich, vibrant, comforting, and fresh! I do not give out too many 'greats,' as I am very particular in what I look for in a tea. But this chestnut tea is just so delicious !

This is my favorite flavored black tea I've ever tried. I especially love adding it to a breakfast tea for an extra kick of flavor. Especially good as it turns to Fall.
