Pretty strong, and for some reason smells a lot like maple syrup to me. Not my favorite of the holiday teas, but it's by no means bad.
Perfect for enjoying in front of an open fire on a cool night, in any season. A comforting reminder of the season of giving, perfect to share with a few close friends.

Pretty strong, and for some reason smells a lot like maple syrup to me. Not my favorite of the holiday teas, but it's by no means bad.
This is a very simple tea, but I really enjoy the flavor. It's one strong note of a sweet, Christmassy flavor. I don't like it straight but find it wonderful with a spot of milk.
Awesome tea that I bought in time for Christmas! cause who doesn't love Michael Bublé's 'Chestnut Roasting on an open Fire...' song. I kid you not every time I look at the bag or take it down to make a cup, I sing that song in my head (or out loud lol). Great flavor, nutty and nice
What can I say that hasn't already been said. Great tea, perfect for these cold winter days! Love it!
We discovered this tea in our Advents Calendar, and really liked it. It has a round and full taste, and is very smooth without bitterness.
A delightful and delicious Fall tasting tea. Warms your tummy!
Maybe my favorite tea from Adagio, and certainly one of my favorite winter teas! The smell of the unsteeped tea is a little aggressive, but don't let that put you off. Really lovely flavor: nutty, smooth, and not too astringent.
Smooth as silk, robust as a great cup of coffee! This tea is nutty and delicious. Keep it naked or add additions, either way it's delightful. And P.S., if you like this brew try hazelnut.
I really like this tea. It smells good and tastes nutty. I do add a little bit of honey to bring out the flavor more.
My all time favorite flavored tea! The smell makes me so happy as it brews. And the taste is just as intense.
Easily my favorite or Adagio's holiday options. I get an order of chestnut every year around Christmas time.
Chestnut is hands-down my favorite Adagio tea. I confess I have no idea what chestnuts taste like. I've never had them. But I love this tea. It's comforting and warm without any spice, nutty and pleasant and smooth. I sometimes add a tiny bit of honey and milk, but it does fine on its own.
I mixed this with one of the caramel teas and it was fantastic!!
This tea is okay. I was expecting the taste of chestnuts or at least a little nut flavor. Sadly, I was disappointed. Overall, it tastes like your average black tea with no extras. A positive with this tea is that it was not bitter like most black teas and required no sugar, honey, or cream. Overall good but not great
I love the nutty taste. I ordered enough to get me by this Christmas and may order it again next Christmas. I usually drink my teas unsweetened, but this one is definitely black.
Not a fan of this one on its own honestly. It probably would be good in a mix which I just haven't had time to figure out yet but I wouldn't buy this for myself in the future.
My favorite Fall Tea time with a delicate after taste
One of the best teas I've ever tasted!! It almost tastes a little like maple to me which is my favorite flavor, sweet and nutty and perfect for dessert!
I love, love, love this tea! I was saving the sample to drink at the holidays, and now that the holidays are here, I wish I hadn't waited so long!! This tea basically tastes like a sweet nut pie cooking over an old-fashioned wood fire! I don't know what roasting chestnuts smell like, but I can imagine it smelling like this tea - with yummy maple syrup poured over top!! It's even BETTER with honey added. I am definitely ordering again - and in a much larger quantity! This may be my new favorite!
I wasn't expecting to like this one, but I find myself reaching for it often. Does it taste like chestnuts? I am not sure, but I find it very smooth and a little sweet. I recommend trying a sample!
Delicious! Love drinking it anytime. Will be buying again and in larger quantities.
Warm, comforting, buttery and hearty. I did find however that I needed to blend half chestnut and half plain black tea at times. A perfect sipping tea in a large mug for a cold afternoon.
My absolute favorite tea from adagio! I'ts a little sweet and smells amazing. Like chestnuts roasting in your tea mug. It's hard to describe the flavor, but I love it! Worth a try.
I absolutely love this tea. It smells very nutty but the flavor is a great mix of Chestnut with some caramel hints. I love to start my morning with a cup of it and I find that it pairs well with almost anything! I'm personally not a big fan of nutty teas but I really do love this one. I would recommend it for people wanting to try new things or expand their tea horizons a bit.
Hands down one of my favorite Christmas flavors. The only reason I don't buy it year-round is that I don't want to get sick of it!
The tea smells nutty and rich. It is a beautiful black tea with blue tones so it’s almost a blue black color. When brewed the tea is a rich, warm, dark brown color. The scent when brewed is rich, nutty, and sweet with caramel notes. The tea has a lovely light roasted nutty taste. This tea is decadent and rich. Perfect for fall and winter or really anytime! I love it.
This is by far the best tea I have ever had. It is so comforting and perfect for winter and the holidays. The smell alone is intoxicating. I love adding milk and sugar for a perfect treat. I just ordered three bags.
This tea reminds me of eating warm chestnuts over the holidays.
This tea is the perfect holiday tea. It’s like a hug in a cup!
Super good! The flavor combinations are delicious!
One of my favorites. My brother grows chestnuts so I bought it for him! Shared a cup and loved it's warm rich taste.
I was very surprised by this tea because it has a very maple note to it. I've never eaten chestnuts, so maybe that's par for the course. I like this maple-y flavor better than I like the maple oolong.
Nice bold flavor. You can taste the chestnut flavor.
Straightforward, simple, and warming. I don't know that I'll order this again but that's just because I don't see myself finishing it any time soon. I mostly combine this with the bonfire blend to tone down the 'spicier' ingredients.
Couldn't believe how much this tasted like Chestnuts and the Fall Season in general. Excellent for the heavy and light caffeine drinker.
I love this tea. It smells great before and after brewing and is so comforting. It puts me in the mood for the cooler weather of Fall. It's great alone, but I've recently gotten into adding just a bit of it to other teas to give them a little rich coziness.
This one wasn't for me, although the aroma was very nice.
A very strong taste of maple and a little less nutty than I imagined.
My adult niece's current favorite. We enjoyed it over the Holidays. I think that you either love or hate this, but it's a fun holiday tea.
I’ve bought this several times now, and it’s one of my very favorites. It’s so cozy and comforting, perfect for a fall or winter evening. I like to add a splash of milk and some brown sugar. It’s a popular request when my friends visit, too!
I luv this tea. Its warm, fuzzy and delicious. Will be ordering more.
One of my favorites. I drink a cup of this every afternoon
It did not work for me, I had to return it. I am really sorry, because I love chestnut. On a second thought... maybe I should have tried with some rum added to my tea.
Probably my favorite tea as the perfect chestnut smell and flavor makes it suitable for an afternoon tea and also great as a dessert tea.
This is a new favorite! The aroma is enticing and the flavor is warm and reminiscent of winter evening by a fire!
This is by far my favorite tea. In fact, it's become a favorite of everyone with whom I share it. I usually need to order several pounds as gifts and for myself to keep me supplied until it returns again the next winter. Time to update the review but this is still #1 of my top 2 teas. I love this as much cold as I do hot.
I have a feeling this is going to be my go-to this winter. Its SO good. It has a nice “holiday” feel to it to me. LOVE!
my wife cannot have coffee anymore - she uses this as her substitute when she wants something with that dark earthy richness.
Not sure how they made it taste like a chestnut, but it does!
Love this nutty flavored tea early in the morning, piping hot with a little half and half.
