The tea itself tastes bitter and nothing like candy cane. When I opened the bag that the sample came in, it smelled promising. However, after I steeped it exactly to the directions it tasted bitter and that amazing candy cane smell from the bag was gone. Did not smell like candy cane once brewed and there wasn't even a hint of candy cane flavor. Very disapointed.
saving this one for Christmas but looks and smells fantastic
This was good, but missing something for me. I was looking for this to be a little bit smoother, I think. I blended it with vanilla tea and that helped some.

First, let me say that I'm a huge fan of mint flavoured things and I was very excited to try this flavour! It smells marvellous and feels AMAZING when you drink it. It's not my favourite, but I'd definitely recommend trying it. I do the recommended 3 minutes at 212 with just a bit of sugar and almond milk, but I think it could be fine without that too!
Christmas in a cup! Pleasant smell
One of the most interesting peppermint teas available, surprisingly, as it tastes exactly like a melted candy cane: minty with a creamy center. I keep coming back to this one, morning by morning, loving the caffeine kick the black tea gives me, loving the creamy, dreamy touch of holiday goodness, and getting my dessert on without the calories.
One of my all-time faves. Great mint flavor without the toothpaste mint taste that so many teas can have. I drink it all year - why only party in the winter??
This is a lovely tea for when you want to be a little bit 'naughty' for the season. Actual candy cane bits give this an actual pepperminty taste, and negates the need for sugar. It's definitely one of my 'occassional' teas.

Sweet, but not exceedingly minty. Rather more more like a candy cane then a peppermint tea or starlight mint. Really faithful execution, though I would prefer a touch more mint myself.
This tea does two things - gives me a little sweet treat and calms my stomach if it's upset, due to the mint flavor. The scent also helps clear my sinuses a little if I have a cold!
This was a gift for my mom. I hate mint so I have no idea how it tastes, but she absolutely loves to drink this tea on a cold winter night. She ordered more for herself when she ran out of the sample that I got for her.

Wonderful buttery aroma and a true peppermint flavor with a hint of sweet. A terrific tea for winter holidays but I would drink it year round. Very rich and decadent feeling, perfect for curling up with a book or gathering with friends.

I really wish I had bought more than a sample because this tea was amazing. I love how the peppermint tea also has a bit of a creamy vanilla undertone. I really wish this was available all the time because it would definitely be my go to for mint tea.
I love mint tea and mint candies, so I thought I would really enjoy candy cane tea, but it was just OK. I wouldn't buy it again.
Like everyone else has said so far, this tea really tastes like buttermints. It's creamy and just minty enough for me. I used soymilk and a bit of Stevia and it was so tasty. I definitely will order more of this soon.
I know this tea has usually been rated pretty highly by other people, but I was kind of grossed out by it. It has a creamy undertone to it that to me makes it taste a lot like an antacid.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this tea. The best I can describe it as a York Peppermint Patti in liquid form when you add some sugar. I will drink this tea all year round. Delish!
It had kind of a weird flavor, and really didn't remind me too much of a candy cane. Probably my least favorite of the holiday teas.
The tea is a little on the weak side, but the candy cane flavor is pretty strong--a nice creamy mint. Good with milk and a bit of sugar. Will order again.
Make sure to use plenty of the tea. I found that the flavor was much better when I used a tea strainer rather than a tea ball.

I love this tea! I think I had better start hoarding it so that once the holiday season is over, I can have a cup of this Christmas, creamy, minty delicious treat all year round! This is one of my favorite teas now!
I liked this one... it does taste like candy canes! I'm not sure if I'll reorder, though. I'm not the biggest fan of minty teas and this one didn't wow me enough to change that. It's still good, though, and I will finish the sample. If you really like minty drinks, you'll like this one I think.

This tea is very minty, sweet, and creamy, with more dimension than a plain peppermint tea. I blended it with vanilla black tea and added milk, and it was heavenly! Great for warming up on a cool morning.

This tea was more of a buttery flavor than a candy cane flavor. I was expecting more of a mint. I thought it tasted great once a little peppermint tea was mixed in.

This is a really nice mint flavor. I had to adjust the steep time down to exactly 3 minutes because my first try ended up too bitter. This is superb with cream and rock sugar.
