I thought I'd like this more than I did, but it doesn't really taste (or even smell) like butterscotch. There's just this fakeness about it that I'm not a fan of. It's a good basic black tea, but it doesn't live up to its namesake.
Simply Sweet and oh such a yummy cup of goodness..add vanilla milk..

This tea was just ok. I’m not sure I like butterscotch with black tea. I have a butterscotch white tea that is amazing. I think this flavor profile just works better with a lighter tea.

I just received this today and I've already had 4 cups. I added some honey to round out the butterscotch flavor and add a little sweetness to the cup. (I've started adding raw Turbinado sugar instead of honey. I think the honey is very distinctive & kind of distracting from the tea. I prefer the Turbinado now.) I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors I've ordered. Thank you.

I actually loved this tea. I made it and used non dairy french vanilla creamer with it as well. It was a great morning wake me up tea!
This was definitely an interesting flavor. The scent is incredibly butterscotch-y, more so than I thought would be possible. The tea, itself, was softer than expected when it was steeped alone. It's a touch better with a very small bit of honey.
I ve found my new favourite flavoured black tea! I normally go for a classic vanilla flavoured black tea but this really does taste like butterscotch. It s such a comforting and familiar smell and flavour, it really nails the profile. It does have a creamy, buttery feel to it and the slight hint of cocoa is just amazing. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely buy a bigger bag of this tea.
Good flavor but you have to be careful not to steep to long
This tea is a bit on the sweet side with butterscotch flavor. I love it! It's a great breakfast tea with a little sugar and milk.
When I opened the bag it had a very intense butterscotch aroma which changed and mellowed quite a bit when brewed. The flavor is mild and the tea is definitely present and the more dominant in the blend. I added a touch of sugar and tasted it before adding cream. The cream brought the butterscotch forward more. I like this but it doesn t quite live up to the lovely aroma of a freshly opened bag.
This tea is very flavorful, but doesn't taste like butterscotch to me. It rather has an amazingly strong caramel taste which is very pleasant also... still a good tea though.
A very different taste for the adventurous sipper
Perhaps it was my sample, but I did not taste much in the way of butterscotch. That was, I confess, disappointing because I am quite the butterscotch lover. It is, however, a very tasty tea. I may try it again at a later date and test for batch differential.
Great dessert tea. Would be fun to try blending this with other teas -- maybe something with mint.
This tea has strong notes of anise or licorice - it's not bad if blended with Irish Breakfast. Too strong alone.
I like this tea, and I have to say that it's less cloyingly sweet than it could have been. It's nice with a dash of cream for an evening snack.
What I love about this tea is how much it smells like butterscotch as soon as you open the bag. Unfortunately, that smell is not as potent once it's been steeped. I find I like this one better with a shorter steep time. It's bitter with a hint of sweetness and very smooth. I find it gets sweeter as it cools.
This one is fantastic! Also makes a great Hot Latte! It has the aroma and tasting notes of butterscotch. We will be ordering more for sure!

Pleasant but mellow butterscotch flavor, but probably not one I will order again. I prefer the flavor of the BeerButter tea and will order that one again -- the flavor is much more pronounced in that version.
I didnt like it as much as I thought I would. Not to say its a bad tea though. Sweet and fragrant.

It tasted very weird and fake. Maybe it would taste better with milk or sugar, but I could not drink it black.
Love butterscotch smell and taste in everything, but in this tea the nice aroma at first slightly dissipates while tea is brewing. The taste is also rather milder than expected.

This is a wonderful tea. It really tastes like butterscotch candy with a little cream and sugar. It smells sweet and warm.
This tea smells amazing in the bag. I thought it was so-so once brewed but I gave it to a friend who likes butterscotch in general and he loves this tea. He was more than happy to adopt it from me. :) I tend to brew my black teas at a lower temp otherwise I find they are too strong and bitter for my taste. There are a few exceptions. This was not one of them. But even brewed at my preferred 180 it just didn't do it for me. But I give it five stars for my friend since he's oh-so happy, as well as how great it smells and the concept of butterscotch tea is pretty awesome.
Love this tea! It smells wonderful and strong. It doesn't taste as strong as it smells, and I'm okay with that. I added a bit of sweetener to taste and it is fantastic. I then added a splash of milk, which I think was not needed. This is a good pick-me-up after meals, when I'm jonesing for something sweet.
I made this hot with honey and a tiny splash of milk and it was a delightful sweet treat. Perfect butterscotch flavor.
