This tea smells amazing... and it tastes great too. Excellent with milk and does not need to be sweetened.
An amazing dessert tea. Actually tastes like butterscotch! I'd highly recommend avoiding steeping this one for too long. It can become bitter very quickly. If made correctly though it's a great tea!

The Butterscotch was not too strong in this but enough that it gave the tea a very pleasant taste. Will definitely be purchasing this one again.
Perhaps it was just the batch I got or maybe I personally don t like it. But the flavor of this tea was off putting and kind of bitter with the three attempts at trying it. I was able to drink it after adding cream (not milk) to one of the cups but it was like a desert in a cup, too much for me.
Another that has a strong scent but it doesn’t translate well to the flavor.
I love to try different types and this butter scotch was great.
This smelled amazing! Not all of the smell made it to the cup though... isn't that always how it works? But it was cozy tasting and what I was looking for.
Tried a sample and then bought a larger bag. Nice flavors that are not overpowering. Great for the afternoon when you’re craving a treat.

I can see why this is called butterscotch, but that's not quite the flavor profile it offers, or at least, not the only one. There is definitely a warm, buttery, caramel-y layer to the flavor, but it's mingled in with deep roasty undertones from the cacao nibs, subtle floral notes, and a hint of something almost citrus-like from the rose hips. And so on. It's a truly delicious blend. It's like a more sophisticated version of my personal blend called Chocomel Creme.
This Butterscotch blend is not as sweet by itself as the name implies. Still, I can drink it plain and enjoy it, especially as it cools and the flavors shift. I almost rated this 4 stars due to not being a pure butterscotch-and-tea flavor as the name implies - but I did read the ingredients before ordering so I knew I was likely to get the experience I did. And that experience was a very good one.
EDIT: I did end up reordering, and this tea has grown on me over time, with its subtle complexities and its warm chocolate-and-butterscotch/caramel overtones. It's magnificent on a cold, snowy day when you're huddled up inside, or a relaxing evening indoors with a book and a blanket. I most often drink this tea with milk and sugar, because they do wonders to bring out the 'butterscotchiness' of it, but as noted above, the brew stands up quite well by itself. I do want to note that brewing time and temperature are important. I try to brew it at exactly boiling, no higher (I live at high altitude, so this means letting my water kettle actually 'cool to boiling' once it hits 212 and beeps at me), and for about 4 minutes. 5 or more produces too much astringency, and too much heat makes it taste weirdly like dead brown tree leaves smell (this is a problem I've noticed with scalded black tea in general, not just this one, for what it's worth).
But if you nail the time and the temperature? So good. So worth it. I suspect people with less finicky taste buds will find it easier to brew this tea just right for their tastes, too. That said, even for me it's not hard at all with the help of my trusty electric water kettle (with its six different temperature settings) and my smartphone, which I can command to 'start a tea timer for X minutes', as if instructing an invisible butler to time my tea for me. It's kind of fun in a silly way.
yummmmm dessert. Or hot butter-beer. I was surprised at how all the different bits came together to make a nice smooth, sweet butterscotch flavor.
A delightfully balanced tea the butterscotch isn’t overbearing but it has a lovely aroma and tasty finish.
This has quickly become a fav of mine. Rich and buttery, it s almost like candy. It s even better mixed 50/50 with Maple Creme Oolong.
I enjoyed this tea. The aroma and flavor are both pleasant, but watch how much sugar you use (if any). Sweetness was a bit overbearing when I used my normal amount.

Smells just like butterscotch, but has a weird aftertaste. Sugar might help but I'm trying not to add sugar to my tea.

We like to have many Adagio teas on hand & while we seem to pick a favorite & maybe drink it every morning for a week, then we will switch over to another tea & enjoy going back & forth. The Butterscotch is one I go to occasionally for a change of pace, very warming & relaxing tea for us.
I like the flavor, but it’s not my favorite. It is a similar flavor to vanilla, but it is a little more bitter to me.
Originally I thought this tea was only ok-- but now it's become one of my favorites. The smell alone is fantastic and the taste is equally great, creamy and luscious. I find it definitely benefits from a longer brew and a splash of milk.

This is a good tea and I enjoy it by itself, but I started mixing it with another tea (sorry, another brand), together they make an amazing tea! I had to buy a large bag to make sure I don’t run out. Then I shared my this tea with a friend of mine and she decided she needed about half of my bag. I’ll be buying more.
When you open this, the butterscotch flavor punches you in the face! But when you brew it up, it's actually pretty light and mellow. It's nice. Even though it smells real sweet, it's just a normal cup of tea to me, the sweetness does not come through in the brew.
Excellent way to curb a sweet tooth without actually eating a sugary treat. This one is also great with a bit of whiskey.

I really enjoyed this tea. The smell is amazing. It smells exactly like butterscotch candies! I don't often drink sweetened drinks and while this tea isn't sweetened, it gives the perception that it is. I don't typically add milk to tea, but I think it would be very complementary to this tea.
I LOVE the scent on this tea but I wasn t able to pick it up too much on the taste (though that might be by design) still good enough that i ll happily buy it again.

I really like this tea, its great on its own, but I enjoy adding it to other blends to amplify an already existing tea. If you like Butterscotch you will love this tea.
