This one was an odd tea for me. When it's hot, it's too light on flavor and a bit bitter. Adding sweetener didn't help as it usually does. But let it cool off and the jammy notes come out more and give you the rich blackberry taste the nose promised. However, again, there was a bit of that bitter edge trying to force its way in, so I wasn't totally sold. Something about the flavoring didn't work for me either. It made me feel a little headachey. There are many other flavored blacks I like so I would probably stick with those, but for blackberry lovers they might enjoy the tinkering this blend needs to make it shine. Happy Sipping!

CommuniTEA Sample: A nice black tea with some good blackberry flavor. Be careful not to oversteep this one or it will get a bit bitter with the Raspberry leaves in it. A nice tea overall.

I really liked this blackberry tea. The fruit flavor was present but not overpowering, and didn't have that artificial aftertaste you can sometimes get. Great cup. Brewed according to package direction.

A berry tea that isn't astringent! The aroma is great and the taste is excellent. I was pleasantly surprised!

No items appeared to be missing in my communiTEA packet. Moderate fruit aromas were noted.
I had 3.21 grams of tea, enough for a 13 ounce steep. I steeped at 190°F for the Ceylon black tea. I pulled the steep at two minutes, when the color depth was starting to get too dark.
When hot, a mild bitterness was noted. I added ½ teaspoon of sugar to bring out fruit and tame bitter flavors.
When warm, moderate blackberry flavors with a mild tangy sip were noted. A very mild dark cocoa bitterness was noted, but tolerable.
A mild astringency was noted towards finish. I’m glad I lowered the steep duration, limiting the bitterness and at same time allowing the fruit flavors a chance to bloom. However, the fruit flavor came across as being a little too medicinal for my tastes. (2 mins @ 190ºF, ½ tsp sugar)

Rich, fruity aroma from the tea leaves when opened. I steeped at 190°F x 2 minutes to avoid any bitterness from the tea. The blackberry flavor is light, but it blends well with the tea flavor. I added a little sweetener, thinking it would make the flavor pop. But I actually enjoyed it better unsweetened. Good sipped hot. I think it would also be delicious as an iced tea.

Really nice fruity, berry aroma in this black tea. The tea is tasty and full-bodied with just a little astringency and the berries come through in a sweet, bright flavor.

It does taste like blackberry, but... there's a sort of aftertaste that's almost... medicinal. This one's not for me.

We pick blackberries during the summer, tea was delicious and not overly strong with a hint of berry. Great tea!

Not much else to say besides this being a good blackberry tea! The blackberry flavor was a subtle taste, but in a positive light as it complimented the black tea nicely.

The tea has a wonderful aroma prior to brewing. The taste is amazing it reminds me of July when my black berries start producing and I make blackberry smoothies.

I love Adagio’s Blackberry! The flavor is sweet with the right amount of tanginess (which isn’t a whole lot, but it works so well for this flavor!) It also plays well with others.

I enjoyed this one. Tried it both black iced and hot with a touch of honey. Both delicious.

This has a good berry flavor without being overwhelming, and I think the deep sweetness of the blackberry is a nice match for the black tea. I have a slight preference for the Blackberry Sage over this, but this is a very good fruit tea with fewer herbal notes.
★★★★☆
Not quite as tasty as blackberry sage oolong, but still a solidly good tea.

It's not bad, but the blackberry flavor isn't as strong as I had expected it to be. Still a lovely black tea.

Got this one once before, a long time ago, but I forgot how much I liked it! Might have to upgrade to the big bag next time.

Not too sweet, not too tart, just a nice blackberry tea.

The taste is a reminder of my childhood in Oklahoma when I used to pick blackberries in the summer.

The blackberry flavor is very strong and good, however, the tea overall is nothing exceptional.

This one tastes like if you soaked blackberries in black tea, the flavor you might get combining a blackberry infused water with the backing of the black tea profile. Overall good, much better over ice than hot, have yet to try it as a latte, but before I steep the rest of this up as a pitcher, I may try the latte route, as it could be good, slightly jammy, unsweet, light on the fruit notes, and be sure not to let it oversteep as all the blackberry flavor gets easily overpowered by the richness of the tea itself then.

Love all berry teas. This one is especially good with a little citrus added to it

Delicious and refreshing, not overpowering. One of my go-to black teas in the morning.
★★★★☆
it seems that fruit flavors are my go to and this is a good one! i dehydrate berries too so added some, but they weren't necessary.
adagio teas are almost strong enough for me as stated 1 tsp/cup but we add 1 more tsp for the pot

I generally love the taste of blackberry, and Adagio's blackberry sage oolong is one of my all time favorites, but unfortunately, this tea was only passable. I found it bitter and I think that the base black used is not complimentary to the tea, or perhaps there are simply too many raspberry leaves, but I did not enjoy this tea despite having a preference for blackberry as a fruit! Also, this tea must be brewed at a lower temperature, 212 degrees creates a very bitter brew, that is hard to swallow.

*After having this in my cabinet for a while, I've become even more disappointed. It's SO artificial tasting, and even blended with other things, it's very overpowering.
Blackberry is one of my favorite flavors, so I was very eager to try this. I bought it to drink on its own and mix with other things.
Unfortunately, like the blueberry tea, this tastes and smells very artificial. I will continue to drink it but probably will not buy another bag.

The smell was great before I brewed it. The taste was a bit too bitter for me and the blackberry taste was very faint. I ended up adding a bit of honey which made it more palatable. It is an okay tea but it will not be a favorite.

The fruit taste on this is subtle and well blended with the black tea. The black tea flavor is definitely prominent in my opinion, with a nice blackberry undertone.

I tried this tea because one of my favorite teas is blackberry sage. It is quite good...wonderful berry flavor that needs no sweetening to be enjoyable. That being said, I will probably stick to ordering the blackberry sage as I love the combination of those flavors. However, if you do not care for sage, this is a delightful choice.
