Cherry flavor is hard to do but this is pretty good
Black tea with the playful tanginess of rose hips, and the deep cherry sweetness is kept in balance with a touch of juicy, grounding blackberry. Iced, it is refreshing and delightful. Served hot, with a splash of cream, it is decadent and dreamy.

Cherry flavor is hard to do but this is pretty good
Nice and sweet early morning comfort. For those cherry lovers out there, this is a great find!! Highly recommend!
After hating the black forest blend, I was worried about this one. It's bad in a different way. It actually smells like a fruit this time, but tastes like nighttime Coricidin syrup with an added unpleasant, bitter astringency. Adding honey made it worse somehow.
This one was no good hot or iced. Someone might think this is their cup of tea, but not me. It was like sucking on a cherry cough drop to me. I brewed it a variety of ways, hot and cold, and only ever managed to make it taste mediocre.
The only thing that could make this better would be to amp up the cherry flavor. That said, it's a lovely addition as an iced tea!
Love this strong flavored tea. Be careful not to let it steep too long or it will taste bitter!
Has a wonderful black cherry flavor. Very relaxing. On my favorite
I like Cherry but this is a little to cherry to me. Can’t really enjoy the tea. I would probably no order this again.
Oh yeahhh! Love me some juicy black cherry with just a dash of oat milk to really round out that fruity cherry flavor and compliment the floral rose flavor. This is and easy one to steep as it's not to picky if you leave an extra couple of minutes. It's great later in the day at room temp, if you've left your mug setting 3/4 full and forget it like I so often do. It also makes a nice iced tea.
This is my favorite tea of all time. It is rich and fragrant, you can smell the rose and the cherry right off the bat. I actually get compliments on my perfume when I carry a cup of this tea! The flavor is rich and full-bodied. I brew this a little stronger than recommended because I love a nice full-bodied tea, makes a great iced tea as well!
This is fairly strong on the cherry flavor, it goes well with the black tea. I really enjoyed it
Such a wonderful smelling tea. This is my afternoon go to
This is my favorite tea this far. The sweetness of the cherries combined with the other flavors is just absolutely perfect!!
Delicious, nice sweet cherry taste. If you like a sweeter taste, a little sugar goes a long way.
While this is a nice tea, I did not find the black cherry flavor as strong as expected. It is very mild.
A lovely combo. I would want to buy more tart cherries from Adagio, for more fruity flavor.
This felt like a strong dessert tea and the flavor profile was almost sickly sweet. Tasted a little but like cough medicine in my opinion.
I love to mix this tea with other flavors- and pour it over ice. My favorite is 2:1 vanilla to black cherry. A close second is. 2:1 cream to black cherry.
The intense cherry flavor brightens up other flavors.
Has a very strong synthetic smell and an overwhelming artificial aftertaste. I was really excited to try this, but no matter how I make it, the medicine aftertaste makes it hard to enjoy.
Okay, but kind of chemically flavored. Not very natural which is surprising given how good most of the flavors are.
Delicious cherry flavor. I really like it! I brew it longer at a little lower temperature to deepen the flavor and avoid bitterness.
I have to be in the mood for this tea. I find myself wanting to blend it with a cream tea to bland out the cough syrupy taste.
Adagio's redesigned Black Cherry tea surpasses the original with its improved blend. The softer rose notes and enhanced fruitiness create a delightful experience. The Sri Lankan black tea base is complemented by tangy rose hips, while the cherry sweetness is balanced by juicy blackberry undertones. This upgrade is better.
Has a strong candy cherry scent, but the flavor is lacking. I wouldn't call it cough syrup, it just isn't as fruity as I would have expected. The rose adds a nice accent and adding sweetener helps bring out the cherry a little.
Whoa the rose hit me from the packet. So I had to pick the rose petals out, and I didn't have any cherry that I could tell. 90 sec @ 165 so it would be light. No overwhelming rose, some fruitiness, but not much on the cherry front.
I love cherries I grabbed a bunch to munch on and a cup of this tea to drink. It was the perfect wind down from my busy day. Black cherry taste noted but not overbearing. Hints of rose. Steeped at lower temp…not bitter. Delicious with a little honey.
I have been wanting to try this tea ever since I saw it and was happy to see it on the CommuniTEA rotation. I brewed it hot according to the instructions and it was delicious. I put a little of the Orange blossom honey from Bees in and the resulting cup was smooth and refreshing. I added some to my next communiTEA shipment and plan to try it out iced next.
It's not my flavor. I can't put my finger on it but I just didn't like it. 4/29/24: still don't like it. It does not taste real. I mixed it with quest protein shake to mask the tea flavors. It was a good snack but not recommended for daily consumption.
Adagios cherry flavor may not be for everyone but personally I liked it. I think the blend of black tea, cherry and rose undertones balances nicely.
Cherry is a lighter touch in this cup and is brought out with some sweetener
This tea was sooo lovely! I had never had a fruit flavored black tea before. It will help me take in less caffeine.
Updated review for the new Black Cherry formula: still tasty! This is a more fruit-forward cherry tea now, which is lovely. It has more of a juicy-cherry flavor than a cherry syrup flavor this time around, with a soft floral accent rather than a strong rose presence. I suspect it's excellent when iced. I had no issues with the original formulation, but I love rose and artificial cherry flavoring (including in cough syrup) so I understand that my love wasn't universal!
Cough drops. Not terrible but also not my fave tea.
I really liked this tea. I might not be the biggest fan of Cherries, but the Cherries tasted natural and flavorful. A true cherry lovers delight.
Definitely not for me. The artificial cherry flavor overwhelmed everything else, including the rose petals, rose hips, and black tea flavor. An overwhelming cough syrup flavor ruined this for me- I gave up after one ship.
Roses and cherry
And some Yummy blackberry
Steep some, don't tarry
Of temp be wary
Keep it low to taste cherry
flavor may vary!
(haiku review)
the cherry and blackberry mixed well enough to negate any kind of medicinal taste often associated with cherry, rose was was subtle enough to be present but not to perfumey
I had high hopes for this tea after reading that it had been improved. Unfortunately it fell short of expectations. There is still a heavy perfume effect presumably caused by the rose hips. Very light black cherry after taste. But finish was overall florial, not what I had hoped for.
This is a really good cherry tasting tea! Not overly strong, and not fake tasting. I really like it on its own, but also mixed with Earl Grey Moonlight
My hubby loves it. He prefers it iced with a bit of sweetner
Love the cherry flavor in this blend. Not too over powering, but comes through just enough to make this a nice refreshing cup. Definitely one of my favorites!
I will be upfront and say I drank this tea with a teaspoon or so of sugar added. It was not a bad tea per se, but I feel as though it is missing something. Cherry notes were quite mild even with sweetener, much stronger black tea flavor with a bit of bitterness. Perhaps I am missing the tartness of a real cherry or Adagio's Dewy Cherry? I think this tea would be good mixed with something else, however. If you're looking for a stronger sweet cherry flavor, I recommend Cherry Marzipan Oolong.
This one just has too much of an artificial taste to me. It is overpowering in a bad way. I want a strong taste and it has that but too much of something.
This is one of my top teas. I like it on its own with it's perfect fruity sweet and sour balance. But my favorite morning tea, especially in the fall and winter, is a tea bag mix of 60% black cherry and 40% almond black tea. Try this one!
Lovely flavor, I recommend pairing it with the chocolate tea for an extra special desssert treat tea.
This tea is delicious - don't be put off by the initial overpowering scent of cough syrup. The taste isn't artificial, but deep and pleasant.
This tea was absolutely delicious. I could really taste the cherry flavor. Will be ordering again.
My favorite black tea right now. Recommended it to my mom. We are big cherry people and ot hits the right spot. Sweet and fruity
My goto morning tea, I keep a large tin of this at my desk in the office, and at home. Pairs excellent with almost anything for breakfast!
This blend has a deep and enticing aroma of wild berries and flowers. The taste is rich and complex, with a sweet and tart flavor from the cherries and blackberries and a floral and aromatic flavor from the rose hips and petals. The black tea adds a strong and robust base to the blend, giving it a full-bodied and slightly astringent character. Black cherry blend is a sophisticated treat that will tantalize your senses and soothe your soul.
