Black Cherry Customer Reviews

Black tea with the playful tanginess of rose hips, and the deep cherry sweetness is kept in balance with a touch of juicy, grounding blackberry. Iced, it is refreshing and delightful. Served hot, with a splash of cream, it is decadent and dreamy.

Black Cherry is my FAVORITE tea, I literally drink it every day. A great blend of such ingredients as black tea, rose hips, natural wild cherry flavor, cherries, rose petals & natural blackberry flavor.

Interesting flavor, I'm glad I decided to try this tea. I start each day with a 10-cup pot of tea, and this flavor is definitely in the rotation schedule.

I loved this flavor. Full flavor and just the right amount of tart. I tried it with chestnut and it was amazing. I’m reordering right away.

This tea tastes just like a juicy black cherry and smells like it too. I brewed a whole pot of it and drink the whole pot.

the new black cherry is very good. It's a lighter flavor, but it's a lot more natural tasting than the old one. I would gladly drink this one again.

★★★★★

Oh, my! I have had other 'cherry' teas but none really tasted of the fruit. This tea somehow manages to deliver the full cherry flavor while still presenting an excellent black tea experience. Unlike some likely cheaper teas, there is no artificial taste

We love this one we go through this so fast it’s not even funny it’s so flavorful with the right amount of caffeine

I got this because I love black cherry. It's not bad, and I will drink it as a backup when I run out of other teas, but it doesn't taste like cherry at all to me. I taste the rose, which is okay because I like the taste. However, it could definitely use a lot more cherry flavoring. It doesn't have a syrupy taste to me, as some of the reviews stated, but it should be renamed as Rose tea, not Cherry. I won't be ordering it again.

This tea was tasty, but perhaps it simply was not my thing. It was not one that I reached for often. I am glad to have tried it, will choose to buy others over this one.

I could taste the black cherry, but it was a very bitter tea to my taste buds, I was disappointed because I love black cherry flavored drinks, I will not purchase this again

Bright, brisk, and bursting with cherry flavor! This is a favorite for summer time tea in our house.

Delicious blend of wild cherry and blackberry! Wonderful hot or iced. Very refreshing iced, dessert-like hot! One of my faves!

Most of the flavored teas I’ve tried have a stronger flavor, not overpowered by the tea leaf flavor. I could barely taste the cherry in this one.

this is much better than i remembered. I think it's been reformulated so if you tried it before and did not like it, then try it again.

I’m not a fan of this. It smells delicious in the bag. I was so hopeful for the taste. Once brewed it tastes like cough syrup. It had a very medicinal taste to me.
But that’s why I love ordering from Adagio, the samples are great to try new teas without wasting a lot of money.

Excellent! I love this as an iced tea. It definitely has the cherry notes I love but also has some fragrant flowery tones to it as well.

Cherry is one of my favorite flavorings, so I love this tea. I was looking for something like cherry marzipan oolong with more caffeine, and this is it.

Great cherry flavor in a rich black tea. It's a great picker upper in the morning. I got this as a sample and my son asked me to order more!

I really liked this cherry version. Adagio's other cherry outings remind me quite a bit of luden's cherry cough drops which I honestly like so that is not a problem, but I see where others dislike that association. This one has it, but it is blended well with the floral rose notes and that juicy blackberry flavor really makes this one awesome for me. This might be my favorite of Adagio cherry offerings though dewy is good too. Drank with nothing added and added to list. 212° 3 min

What to say about this tea? Well, it smells and tastes exactly like a popular cough medicine. If you're a fan of that special cherry flavor, this is the tea for you.

If you're not...maybe try something else.

Dunno how I haven't reviewed this yet. Cherry flavor with some muted rose. I want more cherry. Not bad but I prefer other Adagio black tea.

Andrea: The packet smelled strongly of cherry flavoring. Brought back memories of all the bright red cherry flavored things popular when I was a kid in the 90s. These are not good memories. Every single one of them tasted of the red dye I can taste. Even today I struggle to eat actual cherries due to how bad all the cherry things people fed kids tasted to me. All that said, this tea doesn't taste much of cherries and is less bitter than the cranberry black earlier this week in CT. That's really all the good I can say about it. Our packet had plenty of hips and petals, but no fruit. Maybe it would taste better with actual cherries? Probably not. I sweetened it with a little brown sugar (1/8 tsp) to round the black tea and honey for fruit tisanes (1/4 tsp) to bring forward the berry. It doesn't taste of much beside bitter chemicals and a vague hint of fruit. I brewed it on the gentle side for a black tea, but it's still too bitter. I'll finish the cup, but this is a definite no from us.

Lynn: No. This is undrinkable.

CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 195 F: Most of the time, I feel like adagio's cherry flavoring tastes a little bit medicinal, but this time it didn't! I was surprised, and overall, the blend isn't too bad! I found the flavor a little bit weak, maybe because I used a lower steeping temperature, but it made the black tea less astringent.

It tastes like breakfast tea. Somehow perhaps my packet is missing everything that would make it interesting... If I add sugar and squint I can hallucinate the slightest tinge of a fruit flavor.

This tea is pretty solid but a bit stronger than I like for flavor. Perhaps I've steeped longer than needed so I will continue to play with the steep times for a more subtle flavor. I didn't pick up a heavy cherry taste though. Smelled more like black cherry than it tasted, if that makes sense.

Very strong, juicy cherry scent before and after brewing. It really over takes the base tea flavor. Brews up a very dark mahogany color. Best drank warm. Too hot and you lose the juicy cherries. But if you chill it, it goes cloudy and the tannins overtake the cherry flavor. But in that sweet spot (pun intended). It is a delicious, satisfying tea. Cannot give 5 stars. But worthy of a try especially if you like strongly fruit flavored teas.

I like this one so much I made a blend out of it. Perfect cold brewed! We definitely love it around here!

A delicious black tea with just enough cherry to infuse in the cup. It kinda reminds me of cooler temperatures and Thanksgiving and Christmas time. I make it with a little sugar and cream.

Black Cherry tea is a deliciously blend that perfectly balances the deep richness of black tea with the sweet-tart flavor of ripe cherries. From the moment you open the bag, the scent is intoxicating — fruity, slightly floral, and warm. The flavor is just as delightful. The black tea base is smooth and full-bodied, and the cherry comes through beautifully without being artificial. It’s a comforting tea that feels indulgent yet refined.

Bad high hopes for this but was way to tart some might love it but not for me

★★★★☆

For cherry flavored anything, this is probably as good as it gets without it tasting like medicine. It does still have a very reminiscent taste and smell of Ludens Cherry cough drops, but that's the curse cherry has to deal with. If you enjoy cherries, this tea makes for a great iced tea. Brew shorter for a milder cherry taste or longer for a more intense cherry experience.

This is a delicious black tea with a good black cherry flavor. It's not an in your face kind of cherry taste, artificial taste or medicinal taste. I actually wish there was more cherry flavoring. I prefer drinking this iced rather than hot, and it would be delicious in blends.

Made both in teamaker and brewed as sun tea (100 ° in Phx, AZ). This tea has the same cherry artificial taste as Dewy Cherry. Will not purchase again.
