Black Cherry Customer Reviews

Black tea with the playful tanginess of rose hips, and the deep cherry sweetness is kept in balance with a touch of juicy, grounding blackberry. Iced, it is refreshing and delightful. Served hot, with a splash of cream, it is decadent and dreamy.

★★★★☆

Extremely powerful cherry aroma. It might throw you off at first but the taste isn't quite as overpowering. Very pleasant to drink.

★★★☆☆

This is a very floral cherry. Not bad for my blend, but not quite what I'd want alone.

This is a great start to my tea blending adventure.

★★★★★

This tea is wonderful on its own, but I really enjoyed it blended with a bit of cinnamon or chocolate tea as well!

Has a very strong and sharp scent in the bag but brewed up very nicely. While it probably won't be my favorite, it's not a bad tea every once in a while

★★★☆☆

Not bad. Strong cherry aroma and some taste. Not my favorite flavored Adagio tea (mango would take that spot), but I ma glad I tried it.

Honestly, I think I either got a bad batch of this tea, or I did something wrong. I get neither a cherry flavor nor cherry aroma from this tea. While the tea is indeed a bright red color, I can only barely taste the cherry. I like my fruity teas very juicy. that definitely doesn't apply to this tea.

Smells a bit like cherry medicine, and has a strong flavor, just not much like cherries. It tastes more like a mix of cherry and perhaps raspberry. Not a bad tea at all, just not what I expected.

★☆☆☆☆

This tea has a bitter aftertaste. at first I thought I had brewed it for too long, but I made a few pots varying the tea to water ratio and steeping time. It has citrus-like notes with a very bitter finish. This was quite disappointing, as I was looking forward to a pleasant and fruity tea.

★★★★☆

Friendly. I am not feeling well today so this is a comfort. That is how I judge tea is the comfort and the context it is comfortable. much mellower version of the flavor dewy cherry. Sweet but i would recommend a touch of sugar. dont like the scent of the bag at all.

★☆☆☆☆

I did not like this one. The cherry flavor is slight and it's mostly black tea. I get a real Robitussin aftertaste! Dewy Cherry is much better and tastes like real black cherry juice.

★★★★★

A fabulous, fresh tea - just the thing right early in the morning, or anytime!

★★★★★

Had that fake cherry scent as mentioned by other posters. I associate it with Italian Ice not cough syrup. Taste is much more subtle then the scent, loved it. Would love to mix it with almond or chocolate

It smelt like a fruity candy. I loved it and my family loved it.

This was a gift in an order placed just before Christmas. Just ok, not my cuppa tea however. Needed some chocolate or vanilla tea to balance the fruitiness, I was out of both at the time.

A very tasty tea. Nice and fruity, and perfect all on its own without milk or sugar.

The cherry tea was a more subtle flavor than expected. I would have liked the flavor to be a bit stronger.

To me, this tastes very similar to the cherry green. Maybe that's to say that the cherry overpowers the black/green tea, respectively, or maybe I'm just brewing it completely wrong, but I would choose the cherry green over plain cherry just to have green instead of black tea.

★★☆☆☆

This one was just too much for me. It smells a bit artificial, sort of like cherry cough syrup. The taste is much milder than the smell, but it still wasn't my thing.

★★★★☆

Very good. It does not taste like it smells. might try to pair with choc.

★★★★★

A bit untraditional, but what a heavenly, feminine scent. Makes me think of parasols and falling cherry blossoms.

★★★★★

When I first smelled it, it reminded me of cough syrup from when I was a kid. But the taste is sooooo delicious. I like it lighter than some of my other teas, where I just end up steeping them until they're dark as night. This is a great natural cherry flavor, doesn't require anything else but hot water.

★★★★☆

The smell is revolting. I honestly can't imagine drinking this one on its own. With that said, it will still be a staple for me, because it's like heaven in a mug mixed with almond. I mix 2 parts cherry with 1 part almond, a splash of evaporated milk, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. A decadent treat, and you feel the stress melt right away. Everyone deserves cherry almond tea in their lives.

I'm almost hesitant to try this tea, once I opened it there was an awfully overpowering smell of cherry NyQuil.. It's rather repulsive... Thankfully I only got a sample.

★★★★☆

I have always been wary of cherry flavoured anything, because it always seems to taste like cough syrup to me. I was hoping my love for all teas would prevail and I would like this tea, but to me it is not perfect. It doesn't taste like cough syrup (hooray!) but it is very strongly cherry. Not sure if I would ever drink it by itself, but I mixed it with vanilla oolong and it was great that way. Not sour, and definitely very sweet. Pure cherry!

I really liked this tea with just a little bit of sugar added.

★★★☆☆

It wasn't as cherry as I thought it would be based on the smell of the tea but it was still a decent tea

★★★★☆

This is a nice tea! Can be a little overpowering if you steep for too long, but if you leave it for just the right amount of time, this is delicious!

★★★★★

I bought this tea to combine with others and it is very strong by itself, so I definately got what I was looking for.

★★☆☆☆

No one in the family liked the tea by itself. However, I mixed it with a few other things to make a Dr. Pepper inspired tea. Still in the beginning stages but it has promise.

★★★☆☆

This has a great cherry flavor and a little goes a long way.

★★★☆☆

It tasted good, however the infuser cup I use has holes bigger than the tea components so it often had to be strained. Smelled a bit like cough syrup but tasted good.

★★★★☆

This was a really good tea. The cherry added a bit of natural sweetness.

★★☆☆☆

Every time I prepared this, I was put off by the overwhelmingly strong artificial cherry scent. The tea itself tastes acceptable but not very much like cherry. It might taste better mixed with a gentler flavor, but since I prefer to drink flavors by themselves, I'm not sure I'd reorder this.

★★★☆☆

Cherry is a complicated flavor. Cherries don't taste like cherry kool-aid, and they don't taste like this tea (IMO). I wanted to fall in love with it, but it wasn't meant to be. However, I did mix it with Mango and I got a 'juicy fruit' flavor that was fun.

★★★★☆

When I opened the pouch the cherry smell reminded me of sour cherry candy. THE taste was very mild.I had again a metallic taste when I sampled the tea. So I took the tea out of the pouch and moved it to the older medal tea containers the tea use to come in. The smell and flavor of the pouch was gone.

I got a sample of this for blending, but I did try a cup on its own. The smell in the bag is the strongest, over-sweet artificial cherry, but when brewed it is much more juicy than medicine-y, and actually pretty drinkable. Not a flavor I would go to all the time, but better than I expected.

my boyfriends favorite flavor out of all the teas!

I think it has a very pleasant cherry taste and aroma - not overpowering but you can definitely taste and smell the cherry. Best served with sugar and milk/cream.

★★★★☆

I don't think it has the cough medicine smell, but it does have that cherry flavored candy smell. So a bit artificial, but not in a bad way. What I like about this tea, is that there are real pieces of cherry in it, which sort of blew my mind when I first saw them. The taste is much more mellow than the smell. It reminds me a little of hibiscus but not as sweet.

That has to be the worst cup of tea I have ever had. I have used (1) one tea bag. I'll be glad to send it back if you want it. Your company sounded real good but I won't order again.

I'm not sure what variety of cherry they use, but it doesn't taste like I would have imagined. It might be better if you mixed it with the almond tea.

★★★★☆

I really liked this. I had it on it's own and also paired it with other teas such as almond and chocolate.

★★★★★

A subtle black tea accented by a flavorful cherry, you notice the fragrance of the cherry immediately upon opening. Sweetened by honey this made for a delightful experience I highly recommend you give it a try.

Its a bit tart. I would love it mixed. Maybe with vanilla or chocolate. Taste oolong.cu

I didn't like this at all. It was too fake for me and had a medicinal quality to it that just made me shudder. I tried a variety of sweeteners, steep times, temps, and various other things to try and make this more enjoyable, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Sorry Adagio.

One of my favorite go-to brews is this mixed with equal parts Almond. I just throw a packet of each into a tin and mix 'em on up. Bliss in a cup.

sad to say from a great place like this that there is a tea that i just did not like but i just was not a fan of the flavor of the cherry

Something about the berry teas just doesn't quite work. They are very good combined with my regular Irish Breakfast.

This tea has a sort of artificial smell but the flavor is really good. Pairs well with almond and chocolate.
