Black Cherry Customer Reviews

Black tea with the playful tanginess of rose hips, and the deep cherry sweetness is kept in balance with a touch of juicy, grounding blackberry. Iced, it is refreshing and delightful. Served hot, with a splash of cream, it is decadent and dreamy.

★★★★☆

This tea is good hot and it is also a good iced tea.

★★★☆☆

This is my first time trying this tea. It smells delicious when you open the pouch with a strong cherry scent. Unfortunately its only ok due to the taste of rose petals. I'm not a person who enjoys the taste of flower petals in my tea so this we only ok. It would have been great without any rose petals and a stronger cherry taste. I ordered the sample, not sure if this will be reordered in the future.

★★★★☆

The cherry smells amazing. The taste was fantastic as well!

★★★★☆

Wonderful cherry flavor smells so yummy too great tea

★★★★★

Tastes fantastic! Great iced tea to go with a nice summer lunch.

★★★★★

bought as a gift and she tells me it is wonderful. great gift for a cherry lover.

★★★☆☆

I love cherry, but somehow the cherry flavoring in this tea ends up tasting a bit artificial. (Not saying it IS artificial (I don't know one way or the other), but it just doesn't seem to satisfy the way cherry flavor often does for me. Maybe cherry tea just isn't a good match?

★★★★☆

It tasted like cherry pie with a hint of tea. Maybe a little strong on the cherry, but not bad.

★★★★★

a wonderful blast of cherry in a satisfyingly healthy tea!

★★★★★

Amazing cherry flavor! Mix it with an equal number of the chocolate tea for an AMAZING new taste!

★★★★★

One of my favorite flavored teas. The cherry flavor and the tea taste go so well together. Very refreshing.

Super tasty tea really hits the spot! Enjoyed it both cold and hot!

★★★★☆

This is really nice. I had it as my hot tea this morning and it was so good.

★★★☆☆

This tea was OK. But I was hoping for a bit more cherry flavor over the black flavor.

★★☆☆☆

Strong, medicine tasting. I did not like this one at all.

★★★★☆

A good tea that has an amazing aroma of cherry before brewing. less so while drinking it. Honestly, I taste rose more than cherry while drinking. Not necessarily a bad thing, but after smelling the tea it's a bit of a letdown to not have the taste match the amazing smell.

★★★★★

This one sounded weird but is really a great tasting tea.

★★★☆☆

As far as this tea goes, it's pretty much what I expected, but with a little extra. Mild black tea base that goes well with any sort of flavoring, check. Cute little pieces of dried cherries, check. But there are also pretty pink flower petals? Ooh, that's unexpected.

The petals add a sort of rosey, lychee-like quality that goes well with the cherry. It's definitely a tart cherry taste, not black cherry. Though the tea itself isn't tart, it has the flavor of fruit that probably would be. I can't say this tastes exactly like candy, as others have said, but I know for a fact that this one of the teas Adagio has enhanced over the years. Anyway, despite the improvements, I can't say this is what I was hoping for. But I bet it will blend well with the coconut tea I bought!

From before I even opened the bag you could smell the wonderful cherry flavors bursting from the bag. One I made the tea and took my first support I realized the smell did not lie, delicious cherry flavors jumped out from my cup. If you are a fan of cherries this is a tea for you.

★★★★☆

This is a great tea. It can be strong if left steeping too long.

★★☆☆☆

I love cherry, but this tea is a disappointment, the flavor is very weak. I would not know it was cherry if I was not told.

★★★★☆

This one was gifted to me as a free sample by another Adagio customer. I like it quite a bit. I'm a big fan of cranberry and raspberry and this would come in third among fruity flavored black teas. I've only had it hot so far but I bet it will be yummy as iced tea when warm weather arrives.

★★★★★

IT has the flavor of a great black tea, but the cherry makes a great after taste. Not at all artificial tasting like cherry teas can sometimes become

★★★★★

Excellent :) I loved the Cherry Green so had to give the black a try. The cherry really pops in this and it's great iced.

★★★☆☆

The cherry flavor was not quite as strong as I would have liked - definitely more of an iced tea than warm.

★★★★☆

I didn't love this one at first, but it's really starting to grow on me. The cherry flavor is very subtle, maying it a ceylon with light fruity undertones. It's very nice! I like it black or with milk, sweetened with a little honey. It's probably be good iced, as well.

So sweet and summery! I love this one! Absolutely delicious!

★★★★★

This tea has a great cherry flavor. I love mixing it with vanilla flavored tea.

★★★★☆

I liked this tea pretty well. It wasn't an 'in your face' flavor, but it was more subtle. It was a bit bitter until I added a bit of honey, which brought some of the flavor out. I like it both sweet and unsweetened.

★★★★☆

A nice cherry flavor and it's good for a couple of brews.

★★★★☆

Really bright flavor, naturally sweet and very fresh.

★★★★☆

Nice. The cherry flavor was a bit weak, but still detectable. It didn't have the same artificial taste/smell present in the Cherry Green.

★★★★★

This tea is also good with the lemon grass and by itself

★★★☆☆

For me not enough cherry, but it was good. Maybe I will use with another tea. See how that goes.

★★★★★

This one hasn't done too well in the reviews, but I really like it. Mix with chocolate chip or almond for variety.

★★★★☆

I'm a large fan of fruit tea, and I bought this expecting there to be more of a punch from the cherries. There wasn't, which was disappointing, but the tea itself was pretty okay overall! Not a very strong taste of cherry, but there were hints of it throughout, and it smelled delicious. I think it's best with a little sugar. I probably won't be reordering this kind, but it definitely wasn't a mistake to try.

★★★★★

This is an odd one... In the bag it smells of summer rose tea. And its taste has a hint of cherry, although not strong, you can still taste it's presence on your tongue. Although I wish tasted more like cherry, I do love its taste all together!:)

★★★☆☆

Unfortunately, the cherry flavor was just not strong enough for me. It's not bad, but not a real favorite either.

★★★★☆

This one is a little overwhelming but still delicious. Steep for a shorter amount of time for the best flavor.

★★★☆☆

It's alright. Honestly I think the flavored herbal teas are better in general than the flavored black teas, but for a black tea it was pretty good.

★★★★☆

On it's own it is ok, but I rather like to use it to mix with other flavours, such as cream.

★★★★☆

I bought some absolutely undrinkable loose cherry black tea from a local tea shop a while back, so I was apprehensive about this. But it's not bad. It doesn't taste like cough syrup. Though it also doesn't taste like fresh, sweet cherries, either. It does have a nice, light flavor to it. Black tea doesn't carry the flavor of cherry as well as green tea, but it's still a nice cup.

★★★★☆

I can definitely smell that cough syrup feel, but it does not taste like it. The cherry flavor is a little heavier though than some of the other flavored teas, but it does taste good mixed. I mix it a little under 50 cherry to 50 forest berries to help tone it down on the cherry smell. Not bad, but the cherry flavor is a little weird. Something about cherries does not translate well, even when dried.

★★★★★

This flavored black tea is great to mix with other blends. (Great served hot or iced)

★☆☆☆☆

This was so disappointing for me. From the bag it smells like cough syrup and that odor was just so strong even through the brewing that it was all I could taste. I just couldn't drink it at all :(

★★★★☆

Not super great smelling, but it tastes pretty great. I prefer it with milk or cream.

★★☆☆☆

All I think is cough syrup. Not something I would order again.

★★☆☆☆

I really want to like this tea and have tried it on several occasions and but tastes like cough medicine.

★★★★★

I use this tea frequently in my blends and it is an excellent stand alone cup of tea

★★☆☆☆

Despite the mixed reviews, I honestly thought I would love this tea. I adore cherry flavourings: candies, chocolate, Monin syrup in my coffee. I really wanted to like this. First off, it smells like Robitussin. I tried to get past the medicinal scent - I've brewed it twice now ... I just can't. The aftertaste is awful, like I took a swig of cough syrup. Not what I'm looking for in my cuppa.
