A very lovely and tasty tea with a unique flavor, not bitter at all. I enjoyed it hot with some sugar, but I think it'd be amazing as an iced sweet tea! 3 mins @ 195°F

Opening the CommuniTEA packet I smelled apricot immediately. Once steeped at the recommended 3 minutes at 212°, I smelled the apricot aroma when the lid of the tea pot was removed and when pouring the tea. The taste is like the description says it is: ripe apricot. Apricots have always been a favorite fruit and apricot jam was usually always in the house when I grew up. I was the kid that ate peanut butter and apricot jam sandwiches. My grandmother put apricot jam in her vanilla sandwich cookies. Those would have been a great accompaniment to this tea. I will have to order some to make as a cold brew.

Apricot is honey-sweet and beautifully balanced for the delicate days of late spring and early summer.

I've always been a big peach tea fan, so I was curious to give this one a go. It's even better than the peach! So good! Didn't even need sweetner. :)

I really enjoyed this tea. Honestly I was unsure if I would. Once I added sweetner and cream it reminded me of peaches and cream.

It was apricot-y, as advertised. Can't say it did much for me as a hot tea, but I think it would be a nice iced tea.

Enjoyable and better than anticipated. Would probably also be good as iced tea on a hot summer day.

UPDATED from 1/31/22: The ingredients have a vivid apricot aroma. The apricot gives this tea a lovely fruitiness and such a beautiful clear, dark amber color and smell. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener makes the tea taste divine, however, adding a little heavy whipping cream is too much as it kills the delicate flavor. This tea allows a second infusion (which was as good as the first) and makes a great ice tea. After adding a little sweetener and ice, this tea went down way too fast. I am so glad I am a CommuniTEA member, because this is one I would have never tried on my own. Only negativity is the high caffeine. (3 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener).

In the bag: Mostly the thin, brittle, black leaves of ceylon. Four decently sized apple pieces. A few strands of marigold flowers.

On the nose (pre-steep): Apricot is front and center - no surprise there. A strong undercurrent of sugar. Perhaps a touch of apple. Intense.

On the nose (post-steep): Apricot remains the main player. That sugar note has relaxed but not altogether left. No more hints of apple. Medium intensity.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Apricot is still out in front. But in a close second place, the mild bitter notes of ceylon. The two form a pleasant balance.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): Sweetener counteracts some of the bitter notes, making the overall flavor even more pleasing.

Opinion: A solid standby tea that I can have again and again. I'm partial to flavored blacks and while this one isn't amazing, I plan to keep it handy.

Preparation: 3 min @ 195 ℉, ½ tsp monk fruit sweetener

I am a big fan of Adagio’s Decaf Apricot tea, but today is the first time I am tasting this one. The flavor of the apricot is perfectly balanced with the black tea and the only difference I noticed is that this tea seems to leave more astringency on the tongue than the decaf. I think I would lower the temperature to 190 degrees the next time I get a chance to try this. I really liked this one! I steeped at 200 degrees for 3 minutes and added some rock sugar to the brew water.

Wonderful! Adagio does simple fruit + black tea blends so well. I’m a super fan. 😋

Very strong flavor in this blend, but I mostly tasted apple? Then again I don't really eat apricot that much so the two flavors could be similar. And it was a nice tea either way, so It gets high marks from me. Smelled delightful as well

The tea was fruity and delicious smelly. The apricot flavor was there but not in your face.

Pleasant apricot taste that melds well with the black tea. Much like the mango tea, I am finding this one exceeds my expectations. I would get this again. Nice fruity drink.

The apricot flavor is lovely and provides a nice variation from the more prominent (iced) peach teas. The amount of marigold in these teas, however, is overpowering. I often try to pick the marigold flowers out as they add some bitterness to the cup and the floral scent takes over the sweet apricot notes.

★★★★★

Just a standard flavoured black tea. It's got subtle floral/fruity notes and a nice tannic finish. Just not as 'wow' as some of my others.

★★★★★

This was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in my home, the apricot flavor shone through and was very nice and fruity. (Cold brewed for 10 hours.)

★★★☆☆

A little too bitter for me, and the apricot smell when I opened the package was too faint.

★★★★☆

Nice fruity flavor on this one, not sure I'd pinpoint it as apricot in a blind taste test. I like it, but my go-to is peach for summer iced tea.

It's nice and I'm glad I tried the sample, but I prefer my go-to peach.

★★★★☆

Gentle apricot flavor and strong black tea compete for attention in this blend. Good, but sometimes the astringency overpowers the fruit flavor if you steep it for too long.

★★★☆☆

Unlike a black, oolong, or green tea. Loose leaf tea doesn't always taste better than cheap bagged tea when it comes to fruit flavored teas. For example, the best Pomegranate tea is Bigelow's Pomegranate Pizazz. The Best Blueberry is Tru Blueberry by Celestial seasons. Say what you may about these companies just don't accuse them of having week flavor. So, who has the best Apricot tea? That would definitely have to go to London's Ahmad Tea (available on amazon). Both apricot teas have apricot and apricot flavoring, but then Adagio tries to save money and make the main fruit in the blend Apple along with adding marigold flowers. Adagio then goes on to charge their customers almost twice as much. Actual dried apricot is the last and least used ingredient in this blend. So why the 3 stars? It's not bad. You can taste the apricot. It's just that Ahmad tea has more of a pure apricot flavor. Note: For maximum apricot bliss always try and dice up some dried apricot and steep it with whichever apricot tea you choose to buy. Enjoy!

THis is one of my favorite favorite teas! I love it so much that I buy it and have friends bring it from the states when I am working over in Europe! There's nothing like it! Everyone I make this tea for ends up joining adagio and buying it!

★★★★★

I very much enjoyed trying this flavor - it was very summery and light.

This is such a delicious and versatile tea. When hot, it is absolutely scrumptious with milk and a sweetener of your choice. When iced, it is perfect plain. It also makes a lovely base for a fandom blend. In other words, you just can't go wrong with this tea no matter how you take it!

What fun to drink hot or iced. I have two boxes(one for hubby-me) so I tried both hot and iced. Lol The Apricot smells Devine and taste just sooo delicious. The apricot goes well with white peach,
mango- and cucumber. What says summer like apricot in the afternoon.

A gently flavored apricot tea that is easy to sip hot and is wonderful iced. It’s Ceylon tea base offers a pleasant astringency and some bright tannic taste that pairs well with the tangy stone fruit flavor. .A sweetener add brings out more of the apricot flavor as does letting the tea cool before sipping. In a side by side comparison, Decaf Apricot is smoother and less astringent than this regular caffeinated version..

My CT packet had 4 g/ 2 ¾ tsp of dark tea leaves, yellow marigold flowers, and 2 each of apple and apricot pieces. I brewed 16 oz. at 195*F for 3 min. to make a medium brown tea that had mild apricot flavor. No bitterness was detected with careful brewing. A sweetener add of agave brought out a delightful fruit taste more for a very enjoyable sip. This is a classic flavored tea, good by itself and one that blends well too.

Distinctly reminds me of when I was very little, there was an apricot orchard outside our apartment! I used to climb the trees to eat them! Such a nice nostalgic tea!

I received a tin of this tea as part of a promo and was still thrilled when this came up in CommuniTea. This tea is fabulous.. It smells like it tastes, stone fruit and lush with a very light sweetness. Brewing at a lower temp (195 ish) keeps any bitterness at bay. Try mixing with Earl Grey for an extra nummy sip.

I found this one a little bitter so I may have steeped it too hot or too long. While the smell was really good, I couldn't taste much of the apricot after it was brewed. I only had a small sample in my CommuniTEA packet so maybe I need to give it another try.

I am not quite there always with flavored black teas, I tend to do better when I cold brew them. I tried this tea hot (200F for 3min), and I thought there was a nice apricot flavor that came through. Still working on hot black tea though.

This one always seems a bit bitter to me and the apricot flavor gets a little lost. I always brew it at 195º and usually pull it at 2.5 to 3 mins and it still tastes a bit bitter to me. The only reason I give this 4 stars is because I like it so much cold. This is one of my go-to teas in the summer when I want something cold. I cold brew it over night and the tea has a light, refreshing apricot flavor without any of the bitterness that occurs when it is warm. When it is cold I usually don’t have to sweeten it, but its good with a wee bit of sugar added. This one is also good to add a light sweet flavor to blends. I have an earl grey, butterscotch, apricot blend that I really enjoy. Cheers!

I can take or leave this one. It’s just a lightly flavored black tea, nothing special. I think this one is actually better iced, and used in blends. If I’m going for a tasty apricot tea then I reach for Adagios Honeybush Apricot, I like it much better.
195° for 2 minutes.
