This was another winner! Delicious and fruity, the apricot flavor did a great job of holding off the bitterness that black teas can sometimes produce. I’ll have to sample this one iced!

This was another winner! Delicious and fruity, the apricot flavor did a great job of holding off the bitterness that black teas can sometimes produce. I’ll have to sample this one iced!
This tea smells fruity and delicious! The Ceylon tempers the sweetness of the apricot, so it isn't overly sweet. I do prefer the peach tea, but I won't turn down a cup of this one!
Despite seeing a large piece of fruit in my packet, this has very little fruit flavor but was a decent-tasting black tea. Not exciting but enjoyable.
I can't believe I have not tried this before. Yummtastic! I did brew it a bit lower than the suggested temp and for only 2 mins, no bitterness just fruit!
The smell of ripe fuzzy apricots burst out of today's packet as it opened. A 3 minute steep at 212°F created a medium burnt-orange colored tea.
The apricot flavor came through in a nice tangy way. The black Ceylon tea provided a strong base with lots of tannins and bold astringency . The apricot blended well and was lifted up a notch thanks to this brisk black tea.
An overall pleasantly fruity apricot blend!
The apricot flavor in this blend is really good. It tastes just like fresh apricots, jammy and sweet with a little tartness. I just can't get the tea to be a favorite though. I've brewed it several different ways (I had a large tin of it) and just can't seem to get it right. It's just too astringent, and sometimes bitter for me. I don't get that brightness that Ceylon teas are described to have. Just not my cup of tea I guess.
the tea itself is pretty nice! a mild apricot flavour, not overly astringent and very refreshing. i remove a star because it's a bit... plain, and not bright or fun like i would expect (considering that's how i feel with most peach teas, and the two are often compared). sugar helped a little, but it's just not something i could see myself drinking regularly.
i'd probably like it more mixed with another blend! if i get around to that, i'll update this review.
Todays CommuniTEA packet was loaded with fruity pieces! I know the fruit is were much of the flavor comes from. How ever the flavor was a bit week. More flavor was brought out with sugar. That said it was a delicious cup a tea!
Apricot tea is so bright and summery. It has major front porch with a good book vibes.
Take this two-star review with a grain of salt. To be fair, I have never had a fresh apricot, but I do like dried ones. Sadly, though, Adagio's apricot flavoring does not taste like apricot to me; it tastes medicinal instead, like cough syrup. Though the medicinal flavor is tempered by the depth of the black tea, the Ceylon base is intensely astringent to the point of being bitter. Now, I like a good, strong cup of black tea, but in conjunction with the medicinal apricot flavor, the bitterness of the black tea yields a cup that, for me at least, is drinkable but by no means pleasant. (4 minutes @ 212F)
I love apricot flavor and this is such a yummy tea. I always brew my black teas at a lower temperature to avoid bitterness and I've noticed many people commenting that is a requirement for this tea. I add raw sugar and cream and it's a smooth flavorful cup!
Orange stone fruit tea
A mild sweetness greets me
Bold black tea finishes
I enjoyed this tea when I steeped for a short time at a low temperature, otherwise it is bitter for me.
With all the apricot tea I drink, I cannot believe that I haven't reviewed this before. I think it all started with a promotional tin. I really enjoy a good black tea. The apricot flavor is light and is delicious hot or cold. It blends well with other teas too. I do brew at a lower temp to avoid bitterness since it is a black tea.
both the taste and smell of the apricot flavor here is very mild to me. If it wasn't labeled apricot I would not have been able to identify it. Still, It's a very pleasant black tea blend.
This was such a lovely tasting tea. My only complaint with it is that it's high caffeine. Other than that, it was a wonderful tea.
I don’t find this flavor very apricot-y. The tea itself is mostly bitter, and the additional flavor seems more perfumey than fruity. I haven’t tried this cold brewed, but I think I prefer apricot green both hot and cold brewed. And it’s funny since I’m more of a black tea drinker.
So far I've enjoyed all of the apricot teas I've had so no surprise that I loved this one too.
I first tried this tea because a full tin of it was included in a promo - as a dedicated lover of all Adagio's peach teas, I was excited to try another stone fruit, and I wasn't disappointed! Like the other fruit-flavored Ceylons, it benefits from cooler water (I usually go with 190°, but Jim's review shows that 200° is probably safe as well!) The apple pieces round this one out with some sweetness, and there's almost something creamy about the apricot flavor here, all of which balances beautifully with the black tea. It is susceptible to oversteeping, though, so set a timer if you're steeping it during a busy day!
A lovely Ceylon with fruity undertones. Not too fruity, not too bitter. A good black tea caffeine pick me up!
Today's is delicious from scent to taste. This is a smooth tea that leaves a nice taste, not bitter.
I might have oversteeped this as I'm finding it a little bitter, but I don't like apricot either. Regardless of how I steeped it, I knew it would come down to that.
Enjoying along with the CommuniTEA: Strong apricot fragrance noticed from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190° F (to minimize astringent tannins), I notice honey ceylon tea notes with hints of stone fruit. When I take a sip, strong black tea tannins are very present with a dry unripe apricots/peach finish. This tea plain is a little too astringent for me, but if you like rich, strong black tea with a hint of dry fruit, this is a great choice.
CommuniTEA Sample: Not a huge fan of this tea as it seems a bit more bitter or astringent than normal. I'm not sure why, but it doesn't seem as smooth as usually flavored blacks, even steeping it at a lower temp than boiling.
I have a love/hate relationship with Adagio’s flavored blacks. Some I adore, like Candy Cane and Lemon Soleil. And others I find lacking in flavor and a bit bitter. This one falls into the latter camp. Sorry, Apricot. Adding some sweetener helped it a bit but this still isn’t one I’d regularly reach for. It does seem to be a bit more flavorful after it cools, so I can see it being a good candidate for icing. Maybe I will try that in the future and see if Apricot can redeem itself in my eyes. Happy Sipping!
Tea and fruit...what's not to love. I would like to see apricot paired with white tea for a little more gentleness.
This tea is so great! I think the apricot taste is very genuine.
Yum! Tastes like apricot! Great on its own, shines with a touch of cream.
I’m not a fan of apricots or apricot flavor in general, but I was pleasantly surprised but this tea. The fruitiness isn’t overpowering and simply enhances the black tea. A simple and lovely glass of tea.
This tastes too much like peach tea for me to enjoy it…I do not care for peach tea at all.
Golden apricot
I enjoy your sweet flavor
In this cup of tea
Not sticky at all
No fuzz or pit to clean up
Just a cup to wash!

Nice black tea with a hint of apricot. The tartness and sweetness of the apricot lends itself nicely to a black tea. I steeped at 195 F for 3 minutes to avoid excessive bitterness. Sip, sip away!
Great tea!
This single flavor black tea is delicious. The apricot comes through nicely and is tasty hot or cold. I western brewed this one at 185 degrees for 3 minutes and it was perfect, without any excess astringency. I have the sample size already and will order a larger size soon.
This is a delicious apricot black tea! The apricot isn't overwhelming and the black tea isn't bitter. It's great iced too.
I brewed at 212 for 2 min (1 min less than suggested) and the tea was too bitter for my taste. Just saw another review that said to try at a lower temp. So will try that for steep 2.
This tea is the bees knees!!! Delicious hot or iced, it's a refreshing cuppa!!! Definitely brew at 190 to starve off bitterness!
I love Adagio’s apricot! The sweetness and unique flavor is great on its own, and works well with other flavors.
Delicious tea with a nice subtle apricot flavor that adds some sweetness!
This is so flavorful all year long.
I don’t get tired of it!
A very inviting aroma greeted me as soon as I opened the package, and the flavor after steeping matched. Overall a really excellent apricot tea, made all the better by how much harder it is to find a good apricot tea compared to other fruit flavors.
It's not too fruity but is nice and strong with hints of apricot.
A lovely fruity tea that ranks right up there with peach tea. Good sipped hot or iced.
Bright flavor that is a perfect foil for the black tea base. Also good for blending.
I absolutely love this tea to death!!! I received this for free and had to buy more! Definitely pick up on the fruity/apricot flavor with a bit of bite. Just like the fruit. It's great by itself, but I always prefer to sweeten it up with honey.
A bright tasting tea with a clear Apricot taste. I love Adagio Peach teas also, the Apricot is a nice change of pace.
A nice flavored tea that I've been adding to chai. The apricot flavor goes really well with the spices.
This is a wonderful summer tea. We like it hot or iced. It's just so delicious. I'm not usually a citrus fan at all, but this is a very nice, crisp tea and I do enjoy it very much, iced in the summer and hot in the cooler months.
This tea is vibrant and strong, like an intensified version of the peach oolong in terms of fruity flavor and tea base. It is crisper than regular peach tea, and would make a good base for lattes. It is nice for iced tea, but not as complex or enjoyable as a competitor s tea that combines apricot pieces with currant, and didn t quite have the 'wow' factor of the apricot green. It s a good tea, probably one of the better fruity black teas on the site, but not as stand-out-amazing as some of the other offerings. @adagioteas
To me this tastes more like candy than actual apricot fruit. Sometimes a strong butterscotch flavor hits on the first sip.
