How weird is it that I've never particularly liked almond-flavored anything, but this tea has become one of my favorites? I guess it's because this is just a good, strong black tea with an almond-edge -- nothing sweet or sickly.
Ceylon black tea with a touch of almond. Plush mouthfeel, creamy marzipan notes, nutty sweet, balanced astringency.

Love the nutty flavor. It is overwhelming is just right.
This tea has a hint of almond that makes me smile.
Tastes similar to marzipan ... Perfect for dessert.
Very pleased with this choice, not overtly almond but the frangrance alone is worth the price
Tasted very strongly of amaretto, but I love Amaretto, so I might buy this again.
This tea is so yummy. I like to mix a little honey and milk with it.
This is very good ,not too strong yet rich in flavor.
I'd like a stronger almond flavor, but when I blend it with other teas, it does add a hint of almond to the mix.
I wasn't very fond of this tea when I tried it. The leaves and almonds smelled great in the bag, but the flavor just wasn't for me. I'll definitely give the sample another try before I count it out for good, but I probably won't reorder.
This is my favorite tea after christmas. Round, smooth, pleasant flavor, wonderful with milk or cream. My daughters (10
The flavor and fragrant is adequetly sharp. It is what it says, almonds, and a few more which fit in perfectly. It is based on Black Tea. The package is hermetically sealed, which protects the contents against moisture and light, throughout shipment, and storage. Other than that, a label attached on the package lists all the ingredients, and instructions to prepare the tea, and the History behind it. Basically, the package is as important as the commodity one is paying for, no matter as precious or valuable the contents are, the same way that an incompetent salesperson might distract some would-be customers willing to purchase a commodity of their desire.
I love it! Adding it with other fruity herbals is excellent!
A nice subtle taste, especially good when mixed with other flavors.
I really like this tea. It has more of an almond aroma than flavor, but it's quite good. I usually drink it with cream, which I think brings out the flavor.
Out of all the flavored teas I got (and I got many), this one is my favorite. It has a really strong almond flavor, but it doesn't taste fake.
When it came to this tea the almond flavor was not over powering which was nice.
Very true its name, it has a delightful almond taste and it a great addition to a dessert, or just lounging around. I use teaspoon of honey per cup and 1 teaspoon of creamer per cup to make it nice and smooth. Awesome!
Rather pleasant, especially with a small bit of sugar. Quickly becomes bitter with too much tea or over steeping.
This has a good true almond flavor. When I opened the bag it immediately reminded me of almond extract, which I love, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing. The flavor is not as strong as the smell but the taste is still there and it is very nice.
I love anything almond flavored and this is no exception! This tea has a lovely flavor that is not too strong. It also blends well with other teas.
I like this tea, although it was not as smooth as I had hoped. Needs a bit more almond flavor.
I like this tea but I wish there was more of an almond flavor to it. I steeped it for 3 minutes and maybe next time I'll steep for five, hoping to get more almond flavor.
This smells sooo good and has just the right amount of almond flavor. Not too overpowering, just nice and mellow.
My wife wasn't very fond of this, as she says it had a bitter side. Personally, I loved it.
Loved this tea. It is great alone or mixed with other teas. Will definitely be purchasing this tea again.
This tea had such an overpowering almond taste that it totally distracts from the taste of the tea.
Even though I usually don't like almonds, this tea is very enjoyable and has a nice deep flavor.
Absolutely delicious! I found that by adding a touch of milk really made this tea perfect. Use 2 and a half teaspoons when letting it steep for a strong robust flavor.
This tea has a very light hint of almond flavoring that goes perfectly with a single teaspoon of sugar.
This is probably one of my new favorites! Very good smooth taste but not overpowering. I think I am going to try this mixed with the vanilla or cream!
This one has great aroma and a very mild but nutty taste. I prefer it mixed with other things but occasionally I enjoy it alone.
Really great black tea, but I don't really get the almond at all. It has a SLIGHT nutty flavor and the tea is yummy, but I don't think I'd get this again. I'm sad because I had hoped to find an even better amaretto/almond flavored black tea than the one I currently buy from my local loose leaf tea shop (thought that there just might be better since it was the only one I had ever had), but this is definitely not it. Does not taste of amaretto to me.
This tea smells luxuriously sweet and nutty, but the taste is far more subtle. It seems that it would mix well, however, with other flavored teas in a signature blend. Perhaps something creamy and something nutty to enhance its qualities?
This tea reminded me of amaretto, of which I am not a big fan. I didn't really like it, but if you like the flavor of almond a lot, you probably will. I think I'm going to give it to a friend because I could see how someone could enjoy this tea. It's just not for me.
The almond flavor is nice, and not too overpowering. I like to mix this tea with the chocolate tea or drink it alone.
Smells great but almond flavor is subtle to undetectable. I've had other almond teas that had much more pronounced flavors and was a bit disappointed in this one. The Ceylon base is good... but if I wanted Ceylon I'd just pour a cup of that.
I usually take my tea straight (no milk, no sugar). Plain, this tea is unimpressive. However, with a little milk and sweetener, this tea is AWESOME. Smooth and pleasant, with a light nutty flavor, this is quickly becoming a favorite substitute for coffee.
Smells amazing! I bought it for a friend who loves almonds and she really likes it. I tried a cup and am debating getting a tin for myself. Not sure I would want more than a sample size though.
Not very much almond flavor at all. Smells good, but tastes prety boring.
Not a very strong natural almond flavor. It had some sweet honey tones and was really very good as an iced tea.
I was a little hesitant about the almond b/c i noticed another person reviewed it as smelling like cough syrup, so i ordered a sample size. It did, on first impression, faintly resemble cough medicine, or perhaps maraschino cherries; but this is a phenomanen I have experiened before when using synthetic almond in place of pure almond extract when baking.
At 3 minutes in near boiling water, this made a very lovely, light cup of tea. The flavour is very subtle, adding a dash of cream and sugar will bring out it's subtle nuances. I intend to buy a full size supply with my next order.
Of the eleven Adagio blends or flavors I have tried thus far, this one is probably my favorite.
I haven't yet had an adagio blend I haven't enjoyed to some degree, and this one's no exception. I sort of wish it was a little stronger, but I like intense flavors.
I couldn't get over that this tea smells like cough syrup. Still, with cream and sugar it was a decent mazipan like tea.
Steeped 1tsp for about 8 minutes (I forgot about it!) at somewhere less than 212 degrees. When I first tasted, I realized that I had forgotten to add a single sugar substitute that I always use in my tea. When I added it, and tried again, the tea was still too bitter for me (I'm attributing this to over-steeping). I added a second sugar substitute package, and the flavor was much more to my liking. I could absolutely identify the almond flavor, and I can't help but take a huge smell before every sip, because it is so lovely. The more this tea cooled off, the better it tasted. There was a very dry edge at the end of the taste, but I attribute that to my oversteeping.
The second time around I made sure my water was over 200 degrees, and timed it to 5 minutes exactly. I used one sugar substitute and found the taste to be less flavorful than before, but definitely more balanced, and not overly bitter. The smell was still fabulous. Overall, I think next time I will steep more than 1 tsp, and steep for slightly longer, to try and get a balance between my first two attempts.
I've also mixed half almond with half coconut and found it to be one of my favorite flavors ever.
Good flavored tea. It does not taste artificial. I like to blend with a bit of cream.
This is my favorite of all adagio's flavored teas. It has a rich amaretto flavor that does not seem chemically.
Leaf smell: Hot tar in the sun, freshly laid black-top, faintly waxy or like crayons (not plesant) ...
Tea smell: old cookies, but with a hint of tar ...
Taste: plain it is awful, but add sugar and milk and it does taste of almonds, but I can't shake the occational aftertaste of tar ...
Sugar: full teaspoon totally changes the taste
I love this tea. The almond taste is just perfect. I blend it with the vanilla almost 1:1..slghtly more almond than vanilla..delish!
