I don't usually have my tea with milk and sugar, but as soon as I tried this one I knew it'd be fantastic like that. I'm actually not the biggest fan of almond flavors, and just bought this one on a whim, but it's really nice!

Great flavor, it really delivers. Very easy to add to other flavors.

Nice almond flavor, I think it's good solo and I think it would be great blended too.

Tasty! The almond flavor mingled perfectly with the black tea that it's mixed with. This was one smooth cup.

Steeped 3 min @ 212 °F.

A mild black tea. Not bitter. Loved the hint of almond. Honey enhanced the flavor

This tea had a slight almond flavor, but tasted rather bitter to me.

I tend to love all the nutty flavors. This one has a good almond taste to it but it still doesn't take over my favorite preferred nutty flavor chestnut. I enjoyed my cup thoroughly though especially when I added some sweetener and cream.

I liked this one and could see it making an excellent base for a blend of some sort. I didn't love it on its own. It has some of the slightly bitter taste that almond skins has.

I could definitely drink this with some regularity; however, there are so many teas to try that this isn't a top priority - must have- tea. It's quite tasty and I wouldn't turn my nose up to it if offered.

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was met with the sweet aroma almonds. I steeped the tea for 3 minutes and it produced a dark amber cup of tea. I was disappointed that the almond flavor much lighter than I anticipated. The Ceylon base really overpowered the almond flavor and it was quite astringent. The rooibos almond tea has a much stronger almond flavor in my opinion.

Whereas other nutty flavors from Adagio add depth and richness to the black tea, the almond flavoring adds a brightness to the darker cocoa notes of the Ceylon base. On the first steep, the flavoring stands out sharply and yields a certain natural sweetness that is enhanced by the addition of sweetener. A second steep results in a more subtle, less bright, and ultimately richer almond flavor. Though this almond offering is pleasant, I prefer the more definitively nutty flavors of Adagio’s hazelnut tea. Still, this tea can be a nice addition to blends, but a little goes a long way as it easily overpowers other flavors. (3 minutes @ 212°F)

Really nice with milk! I was a fool and didn't try it before adding the milk to my cup, but this is a really nice basic black tea latte, strong enough not to get overwhelmed by the cream and with a nice light almond flavor.

Black tea with bottled almond flavor - that is it in a nutshell. This one is likely really dependent on individuals, for me this is a huge pass - but for others I could see it being a beloved favorite. It is one that would blend well with others, go with cream and sugar, or honey. The key being you have to like almond flavoring.

Excellent almond flavor and good black tea. Would be excellent next to an almond-y dessert. Steeped 3 mins @ 200°

I love nut-flavoured teas and I love almond anything, but this tea didn't quite hit the mark for me today. It was vaguely nutty, but not specifically almond-y, and maybe a little too bitter and astringent for my preferences. I wouldn't turn it down, but I like some of the other nuty/almond flavoured teas better. Steeped 3 min @ 195º.

I am not a fan of almond flavor in anything. I tried this tea today in my CommuniTea. I added some sugar to it. Still it is almond tea and therefore has an almond extract taste. It's similar to marzipan which I am definitely not a fan of. I guess if you like that flavor this would be good but that is not me.

Very good almond flavored tea. I'm sure this tea would be excellent for blending.

It's okay. The black tea was strong and a little bitter. The almond flavor needed to be stronger.

Watch your timing on this one, it seems it could go bitter quickly. I pulled it around the 2.5 min mark at 212°. Tasted great, bold black tea with sweet almond overtones!

I think this is one of the better flavored black teas on this site, even though it is still a bit underwhelming. The almond flavor does come through, and it makes for a nice cup of sippin. It also performs exceptionally well in other blends.

3/28/24 Communitea: I can definitely tell why someone would enjoy this tea: it's strong, and with some cream and sugar it has a feel a lot like a flavored coffee, except with a nice tea undertone. If you like drinking your tea with cream and sugar, or you want to have a drink to replace a morning coffee with a bit less caffeine, I bet you'd love this. It's just not for me!

★★★☆☆

It's just okay, unfortunately. I love nutty things, but I don't think nutty teas do it for me--first hazelnut, now almond... if you like nutty teas, this will be great for you.

Adagio's Almond Black Tea offers a pleasant experience with its Ceylon black base, producing a beautiful amber liquor with mild astringency, when steeped at 195 degrees. To avoid bitterness, it's best to steer clear of boiling water. The almond flavor is discernible yet balanced, complemented by a touch of sweetness. Overall, a satisfying brew for those seeking a subtle nutty infusion.

This is a good almond! It doesn’t have that overwhelming fake taste

Can be bitter if steeped for too long, so I would recommend shorter steeping times. I find that almonds and almond extract have different flavors, and this leans more on the almond extract side.

I've never had any teas from Adagio with almond flavoring. Their flavorings can be hit or miss, but I decided to give the 50% off sample a try. I thought the almond smell was much stronger than the taste. Unfortunately, the quality of this black tea wasn't great, and its bitterness overwhelmed any almond taste for me. I tried brewing at 190 instead of 212 degrees, and I still found it overwhelmingly bitter.

This is a perfect tea to have on its own, or blended with other flavors! Really good almond taste without being overpowering, fake-tasting or too sweet. One of my favorites!

Almond is very subtle, more of a scent than a flavor. Does not taste artificial, very smooth for a black tea. I like it!

This is so good! A delicious amaretto flavor comes through nicely both in fragrance and flavor. It tastes like a piece of marzipan candy with a mellow black tea flavor. A smooth, not bitter tea that’s a nice change of pace. Wonder how it would be blended with vanilla or cream tea. Excited to keep experimenting with this one.

This blend has a rich and nutty aroma that will make you feel like you are in a bakery full of almond pastries. The taste is smooth and sweet, with a hint of vanilla. The almond flavor adds a nutty and creammy flavor that complements the Ceylon well. This blend is perfect for anytime you need a little pick-me-up, warming your soul and delighting your senses.

I love almond flavor things, so I was excited to try this tea and it didn't disappoint; I definitely recommend trying this if you're a fan of almond.

Almond is among top favourites. I took a gamble and bought the 3oz bag rather than the tester and I was not disapointed. I love the subtle creaminess and the delicious scent (almost cherry-like). I enjoy adding a bit of soy cream or almond milk.

Loved this tea so much! With notes of marzipan it goes wonderfully with a splash of creamer. The name is simple, but the tasting notes are deceptively complex. Highly recommend!

Love this tea. It's got good almond flavor - makes me think a bit of marzipan or an almond croissant - with the strength of black tea backing it.

Brewed hot and drunk straight with nothing added this tea was extremely bitter. I couldn't taste anything past the bitterness. However when I added some suger and a few drops of cream the bitterness completely went away and replaced by mild black tea flavor and a sweet almond aftertaste.

I brewed it according to the instructions the first time and I didn't get a lot of flavor. However cold brewing it made it a lot stronger although I still can't tell if i'm tasting almond or something else.
