Liked the strong almond flavor in this black tea, but don't recommend drinking it too close to bedtime. Heavily caffeinated!
Ceylon black tea with a touch of almond. Plush mouthfeel, creamy marzipan notes, nutty sweet, balanced astringency.

Liked the strong almond flavor in this black tea, but don't recommend drinking it too close to bedtime. Heavily caffeinated!
Pay attention to the reviews that mention bitterness if brewed at 212°. This is much more pleasant and not bitter brewed at a lower temperature.
Smooth and tasty..the nutty flavor is just enough 😉
This tea has an amaretto scent but the taste is more almond than a sweet amaretto but the overall flavor is wonderful especially with a splash of cream and honey.
Pretty great, actually tasted the mild almond flavor.
The sweet almond scent hits you the second you open the bag. The hint of cream and the almond flavor are incredible!
This is more precisely a solid 3.5 for me. I love Adagio's almond flavor and I love almond and amaretto anything almost. My hangup with this tea I think is the Ceylon base. I think this would be a 5 star tea with keemun concerto or possibly one of the Yunnan black bases instead. Ceylon brought its usual cocoa notes which isn't bad necessarily, but it also brought its bitter bite on the finish even though I stuck to my usual 3 min. I believe it is a case of Ceylon being stronger than the flavoring here. If you adore Ceylon and almond definitely give it a whirl just mind your steep times. 212° 3 min.
Really nice with just a little sweetener. I think that the next time something with almond comes my way, I'll make sure to add some creamer!
a classic tea experience, Almond pairing well with the ceylon for a yummy nutty experience.
Sept ‘25: yes, same -steeped less than 3 min (but also I think there was a lot more than 1tsp in bag) and it’s really nice. Smells exactly like almond paste which I don’t love but I do like this tea
My fave of the nut flavored teas is chestnut but this was also really excellent. Definitely reminiscent of an almond croissant. I steeped exactly 3 minutes and it was almost too much, would have been very bitter if longer.
This cup screamed for cream; almond, black tea, bold and true; do not overbrew! (Haiku review)
A simple almond tea, made much smoother with a little cream and sugar.
The packet has a wonderful amaretto scent. It has a nice amaretto(almond) flavor with just a little bitterness- would be better brewed at a lower temp.
Andrea: It's... fine I guess? Maybe we got a bad batch in the CT packet. The aroma of the leaves was more playdough than almond. Black, the almond was just an off taste to the tea. With a little brown sugar, a marzipan flavor came forward (I don't like marzipan). A splash of 1% milk and even more brown sugar gave this almost an amaretto flavor (I like amaretto even less), but also covered most of the tea base. This may have worked better with a deeper black base, an Assam instead of Ceylon, but the basic issue is this isn't really almond flavored. There's no nuttiness. The flavoring used in this is more the cherry fruitiness of amaretto and pretty weak at that.
Lynn: I had a portion of the Almond Oolong just recently and found the almond flavoring way too strong so this lightly scented tea is a surprise. I dawdled to try this cup due to my experience with the Oolong, so I only tasted it lukewarm and full of milk and sugar. It's not tasty. The tea base isn't a good match for nutty flavors and the flavoring itself is perfumy and unpleasant.
This one is decent - it was not a favorite here among our four reviewers. It was not terrible but they didn’t want to add it to our tea order.
CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 195 F. I am not a fan of Ceylon as a base, nor most flavorings that adagio uses. But I do like their almond flavoring, and I was surprised with just how well this blend worked! It has a sweet aroma that's a little bit fruity and floral, but doesn't necessarily smell like almonds. However, it tastes rich and nutty, it has a very almond flavor to it, the tiniest bit of bitterness that fits with my almond expectations, and a nice, confection like sweetness! The mouth feel is also a little bit rich and grainy like an almond or like marzipan, as described!
Smelled and tasted strongly of almond. Reminded me of marzipan, and tasted better than amaretto flavors. Really good with cream.
Strong amaretto liqueur aromatics with a smooth nutty aftertaste. This tea is great on its own or mixed as a latte ~! Ive also tried mixing with masala chai for a new experience
I tend to like almond and marzipan in things, so I figured I'd like this tea as well and I wasn't disappointed! The marzipan flavor definitely came through, as did the taste of cherries - which was a pleasant surprise.
Not my favorite tea of all time, but useful in blends. I don't think it tastes like almond nuts but more like almond extract. It smells wonderful.
Very light flavor but has a real almond flavor. I would buy again but add a milk into it to make it creamy.
The Almond Oolong is my favorite morning tea. I make a tea latte with steamed milk and a spoonful of honey! It's now one of my friends favorites too!!
Nice flavor but it's probably better when mixed with others.
This may be one of the best smelling teas--the sweet almond smell rolls out as soon as you open the bag. The flavor of the tea is good, but the stronger black tea does not balance as well with the sweet almond flavor as the oolong variety--that's the version to get, in my opinion.
I love this tea! It makes a perfect cup for morning or afternoon. Definitely will reorder.
Really lovely flavors of almond in a black tea. Great for morning and really anytime you want something a thing just a little special
Can't say it enough...I Love, love, love this tea! Strong but not artificial flavor of almond. This is one I will order again and again!
Decent, but prefer just straight black tea. The almond flavor seems a bit artificial. Be careful not to overstep.
Very good. I'm always going to say add more almond because I love it so much. I did make a large cup using one serving of almond and one serving of cranberry and that was a great combination.
This was just ok to me. Not really much almond flavor.
I wanted a more bold taste of almond. Maybe a white tea would be a big difference in tasting the almond. I will finish this envelop of tea bags.
This almost flavored tea came off a little too much like almond extract to me. It’s artificial and I would’ve liked something that tasted more natural. I haven’t tried it as a cold brew ice tea yet. I’m hopeful it might be better that way.
I can’t recommend this enough!!! Absolutely delicious and taste just like almond flavored cookies. I am an in love.
Recently I had lunch and a beautiful cup of tea at a local restaurant. The tea was a flavor I’d never had, almond. I fell in love and immediately came home and opened my Adagio app and found an almond tea. It didn’t disappoint, this tea is smooth and delicious, I’ve found a new favorite!
I enjoyed this mild almond flavored Ceylon tea. It wasn't overwhelming, just the right amount of nutty goodness.
This tea is one of my favorites. The ceylon is a strong base, and you get a full flavor experience when you have a cup. The sweetness almost reminds me of root beer, without the overwhelming scent.
Not my favorite, but didn’t hate it. Fine, basic brew.
I finished my original almond tea and needed to get a new one. I really enjoy the almond flavor when relaxing in the evening.
A very mild and sweet flavor. It's a flavor I expected from almonds consider it tastes akin to drinking a light cherry drink.
Love this tea! It's got a smooth almond flavor. It's anice warming fall flavor without being spicy. I will be mixing it with berry flavors as well. I might have given it five stars, but I just like Adagio's chestnut tea a little more. Both are great for nut lovers!
Strong almond extract smell and a rich almond taste, paired with Adagios perfect black tea. A delicious morning treat!
The wonderful hint of almond goes with everything. Have a cup with your morning scone or mix in a vanilla syrup for a treat all on its own.
I do love all things almond. This time is seems a bit sweeter with no sweeteners but I am also using less sugar/substitutes in my life so that might be why Less is more on this one for me.
I was anticipating more almond flavor in this tea. It was good, but the almond flavor was barely noticeable. I prefer iced tea, so I
brewed this in my fridge overnight for about 10 hours.
It has a lot of flavor and is surprisingly refreshing. I've tried other nut flavors but I usually come back to this one.
Love this flavor for the start of my day. Add a splash of oat milk and super yummy!!
Delicious hot. But the flavor really shines as an iced tea
Smooth subtle nutty black tea. I do wish the almond flavor was a little more prominent.
Normally I love the aromas of the dry teas I buy. This one did not appeal, BUT the taste is satisfying--nutty and sweet. Don't let the scent put you off.
This is my favorite tea. I have consumed about four pounds of it so far. I enjoy it with Belgian Chocolate every day
