A great, full-bodied flavored tea without caffeine. Love this on a winter night - I drink this sugar, no milk
Decaf black tea with pure vanilla. Soothing and cozy, like warm sugar cookies made with fresh vanilla beans.

A great, full-bodied flavored tea without caffeine. Love this on a winter night - I drink this sugar, no milk
Great vanilla scent in the dry leaves, but not much vanilla flavor in the brewed tea. @adagioteas
Has a decent vanilla flavor, but not the tea for me.
This tea is excellent! It s really tasty by itself or mixed with other teas. I like it especially with the decaf strawberry and the decaf raspberry. :) @adagioteas
Slightly sweeter than I expected, but a great afternoon beverage.
Very good tea. As it is a decaf tea, I can’t go over 4 stars. Personally the caffeine makes teas five star worthy, haha!
A great tasting decaf tea! Lovely at the end of the day.
delicious black tea, i mix it with a splash of milk and lavender syrup
I mix this with different teas to add a touch of vanilla flavor. Decaf strawberry is one of my favorites to add, makes a nice strawberry shortcake!
I like this tea a lot - smooth with a hint of vanilla flavor. Nicely balanced flavor. It doesn't have a weird after-taste like regular decaf teas. Of note, the recipe of the packaging calls for 1 teaspoon per cup, but I like things strong so I use 3 teaspoons per cup. I drink tea like a Brit (learned from my Birt husband)!
My 7 yo daughter loves this tea. Perfect to add to another tea for more flavor or alone with a little cream and sugar.
A nice, subtle vanilla flavor and slight sweetness. This tends to be a guest favorite :)
This is the current favorite at our house. I sometimes mix it with Decaf Spice for a nice flavor.
I really enjoy drinking this before bed. Vanilla is one of my favorite flavors.
Perfect for the evening when you want something with some comforting flavor.
This is my son's go to tea in the morning. He loves the vanilla flavor with milk and honey added.
Great tea for evening or anytime you don't need the caffeine. Vanilla taste is strong but not too strong and no sweetener required!
Just the right amount of sweetness. It's excellent iced as well as hot. I usually drink it alone or with cookies, but it's light enough that you could drink it with a meal. I'll definitely be ordering this one again.
A great tea. I like the vanilla oolong slightly better but this is a great decaf substitute.
This tea was good, but nothing special. I'm so used to Adagio wowing me with many of their teas and tea blends, so drinking something that was just 'good' was actually kind of a surprise. If you like vanilla and decaf black tea, I can certainly recommend this. It's smooth and drinkable and nice, but it didn't impress me enough to buy it over the other, more awesome teas I've tried.
Nice black tea with a subtle vanilla note. Preferred it with a touch of honey that really helped bring out the vanilla flavor. Great comfort tea or to use for blending. Have a feeling this would also be nice cold. Enjoy!
Part of the June 2021 CommuniTEA box. What a sweet treat to greet me tonight! How perfect that it was decaf to soothe me after a long day.
This tastes how you would expect. It has a natural sweetness that makes it not require sugar, but sugar smoothes the black tea flavor nicely. While drinking, I was thinking about how well it would pair with marshmallows. I'm not sure how much I love it on it's own. I wouldn't mind grabbing a bag to blend with extras like peppermint, hazelnut, etc. though.
Yum! This tea is so tasty and I love that it's decaf for a great late night treat. I added a little vanilla half and half and it is super tasty!!!
This is a very nice vanilla tea. I especially like that it is decaf. The vanilla is a little on the strong side for me to give it 5 stars, but I still found it very enjoyable.
I like this tea, but it doesn't really evoke vanilla to me - not the kind in expensive ice creams. Tasty but not what you generally expect from the word 'vanilla'.
The amount of vanilla is just right, not too weak or strong. Lovely tea with cream and sugar. Seems like it would also be good mixed with other teas.
Pretty solid vanilla decaf. It wouldn't necessarily be my go to, but it doesn't disappoint
This tea smells like root-beer and the taste reminds me of their 'cream' tea. When brewed at a lower temp for a shorter time it was not bitter (195 F x 2 1/2 min). Monkfruit sweetener helped bring out the vanilla flavor.
This tea is excellently rated for a reason. The vanilla doesn't taste too sweet or overwhelmingly artificial like it tends to be with other brands. The taste is strong enough that you could've reasonably convinced me it was full caff before I tried it.
As this was decaf, I saved my CommuniTea sample until afternoon to brew. What a relaxing tea. The vanilla blended perfectly with the decaf ceylon to create a lovely experience pleasing to both scent a taste. This would also make a versatile blending tea for those who enjoy experimenting.
Decaf vanilla is the perfect before bed treat! Comforting and sweet, pairs perfectly with a touch of cream and sugar. Wonderful!
The vanilla flavor is weak, and the tea itself is flat. It's not offensively bad, but I wouldnt reach for this.
Very tasty black tea that is lightly vanilla in aroma and taste. It smells and tastes a bit like vanilla cake, though the flavor is not super strong. It is smooth with no bitterness, and with a little rock sugar starts to taste a little like frosting. Adagio has the best decaf tea, I would never guess this is a decaf version if not told. For a decaffeinated drink, I actually enjoyed this one.
I first tried it hot and it was delicious and now I have been drinking it all day as an Iced tea.
I am a huge fan of the aroma of vanilla. And I love to add vanilla flavor into just about everything. Drinking a straight vanilla flavor would not be my first choice. So I am very pleased I got to try this in the CommuiTEA
Nice vanilla blend. I could see enjoying this after dinner
The tea was smoothed but very very sweet. I would of liked a little less vanilla.
Comforting vanilla scent wafts from the package and from the brewed tea. Simple, smooth, and delicious. (3 mins @ 200°F)
It's hard to mess up with vanilla. It smells a little artificial at first, but as it brews and mellows out a little it becomes a more pleasing, less dominating note. A very good tea to have with a sweet dessert like icecream or cheesecake if you wish to double up on decadence.
Great vanilla taste and smell like vanilla, taste great too, you can really taste the vanilla. Great Job adagio!☕️🫖
My CommuniTEA packet smelled of vanilla deliciousness when I cut into it. This was a very nice decaf vanilla, no bitterness noted. The vanilla flavor was on point, not too strong, not fake at all. Happy sipping!
I am pleasantly surprised by this tea! I’m used to not particularly enjoying flavored black tea, but this vanilla really came through well!
This is a balanced but lightly flavored decaf vanilla tea. While I would prefer a stronger vanilla taste, this blend also avoids the bitterness that's sometimes found in Adagio's decaf Ceylon teas. A touch of sweetener helps bring out the vanilla flavor.
Another really nice black decaf! The tea is very smooth without any bitterness and just the right amount of astringency. Vanilla flavor comes through very nicely. This is great iced!
Dry tea smells like vanilla cake. When brewed, the resulting cup is a dark brown with a mild vanilla scent. The vanilla is subtle and not cloying, and works well with the bright decaf Ceylon. I find the decaf version to be more muted than the fully caffeinated version, which works well since there aren't many flavors present. I found this easy to drink, and was very tasty. I did not get any bitterness from the Ceylon, but I may have drank the cup too fast for it to present itself. Brewed at 200 for 3 minutes.
I couldn't get to this tea until the afternoon so im thankful its decaf. Delightful vanilla cup, just as tasty as its caffeinated counterpart. I sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTEA June 2021 box
Warm vanilla cookie aromas wafted out of today's packet. The packet was filled with wispy curled decaf Ceylon tea leaves. A steep at 212ºF for 3 minutes produced a tea liquor with a nice gingerbread shade of brown.
Vanilla aromas and flavor continue into the steeped cup. The decaf Ceylon provided a nice brisk and malty base for the vanilla to mingle with. The first sip was similar to a vanilla cookie, with some darker baked biscuit flavors coming from the black tea. As the tea cooled, vanilla flavors kept pushing through while the black tea tannins and briskness started building. The finish was dry and crisp with moderate astringency.
Overall this is a great decaf vanilla tea, with plenty of synergistic vanilla and black tea flavors. Makes a nice decaf option for the afternoon or evening!
I did an overnight seep of this for a cold brew tea and it's delightful.
A tea that has a decent vanilla taste. It is good either hot or cold.
This tea had a strong vanilla flavor when I opened it. I decided to drink this tea iced because of the hot weather. With cream and sugar, it was like drinking an iced vanilla latte. I prefer caffeinated tea, but the flavor was very nice.
