This tea had a strong vanilla flavor when I opened it. I decided to drink this tea iced because of the hot weather. With cream and sugar, it was like drinking an iced vanilla latte. I prefer caffeinated tea, but the flavor was very nice.
Decaf black tea with pure vanilla. Soothing and cozy, like warm sugar cookies made with fresh vanilla beans.

Here we go again with the black teas. This tea smelled mildly of vanilla cake batter. But not as sweet. With an unhealthy amount of sugar I was able to tackle the bitterness of the black tea. It still wasn't good. It wasn't something I would accept if offered but I could finish this sample cup.
This blend smells and tastes like good black tea and vanilla baked goods. There is something about it that doesn't taste like normal vanilla...but maybe that's just the black tea. Anyways it is really tasty just plain, and I'm sure could be made more decadent with milk and sugar.
I've been looking for an evening decaf that wasn't just an herbal. This is it. Super delicious with some oat milk.
This tea is dreamy! It smells and tastes amazing! Just pure, straightforward vanilla delight. I also like that it is less bitter, as most Adagio black decafs tend to be. Plain or with oat milk, this one can be your calorie free dessert every night! Happy Sipping!
This tea was simple and smooth. Vanilla was obvious without overpowering the tea. It’s clear why this tea does so well in so many blends! Whether as a supporting character or starring on its own, vanilla decaf is a lovely sip!
I love vanilla, and this has a great scent and taste. It feels decadent and almost dessert-like. Decaf makes me feel good about indulging in the evening! I added some cream and sugar for a little bit of added sweetness.

5 stars and it’s a decaf tea! Can’t help it but the flavor is very good and there is no bitterness from the black tea. The vanilla is soft and blends well with the black tea.
212 degrees for 4 minutes. Yum! Potent vanilla perfumed tea greeted me upon opening the package. When brewed, it was sweet and mellow, comforting just like vanilla should be. No bitterness noted and a pleasant astringency. The decaf version seemed to have stronger vanilla flavor than its caffinated counterpart. I admit, I like this one better!
This was heading for 4 stars until it cooled. Smelled very aromatic in the bag, like vanilla frosting. So the first couple sips while hot were disappointing, since the vanilla wasn’t intense. I added some honey, which was nice. But it was mainly cooler temp that brought out the vanilla. Couldn’t tell it was decaf, definitely a win!
Please take this review which a huge grain of salt. Or should I say vanilla sugar? Because the more decaf teas I drink, the more I realize I'm just personally not a fan of decaf teas. Unless they're blended with other teas, decaf teas just taste watered down and artificial to me.
Additionally, while I love vanilla teas in blends (Vanilla Oolong is my go-to for this!), drinking straight vanilla tea makes me feel like I'm drinking a candle. It's just not pleasant for me.
So decaf vanilla? Yeah... it's just a very artificial, sickly-sweet experience for me, and not one I care to repeat.
I love that other people love this tea, though! Different strokes for different folx!
A pleasant vanilla blend, in a decaf option. Best in a hot, short brew, as the decaf Ceylon base and I are not friends. Does not rebrew well.
Enjoying with the CommuniTEA today: strong rich vanilla bean notes are detected from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190° F (to minimize black tea tannins), I notice a honey ceylon tea notes with a hint of vanilla. When I take a sip, I am greeted with a lovely black tea with vanilla notes. The vanilla rounds out the decaf black tea beautifully. Really great tea! Enjoy.
CommuniTEA Sample: Very nice vanilla black tea that is very smooth. I don't drink much Decaf, but if you are looking for a good tea to enjoy in the evening as you are winding down for the day, or if you don't drink tea with much caffeine, this is definitely a good option. The Decaf Ceylon is a great base, not bitter or harsh, and the vanilla adds a nice, smooth creaminess to it. Overall, a great decaf tea.
This definitely had its vanilla taste. I've had it in fandom blends before, but never by itself. I look forward to trying the caffeinated version when that time comes.
There is something relaxing about vanilla. The aroma is wonderful and the taste is...Wow, just so good! I love having decaf options like this. Perfect for a late night treat to calm my sweet tooth. I added a little creamer and a hint of sugar. Creamy and really enjoyable cuppa tea.
Hello Vanilla! Wow! The dry tea had a very strong vanilla scent. Cold brewed this tea first and the vanilla flavor came through strong. It was divine. Steeped it for 4 mins@180° and the hot version was really flavorful as well. A delicious cup of tea and would be wonderful in a blend as well.
Vanilla is great!
Couples have known this for years!
Also great for blends!
Try something simple!
Experimenting can be fun!
Yay for vanilla!

What can I say, except that I had some very aromatic black tea in my communiTEA packet this morning! A very pleasant vanilla aroma was noted.
I had 3.21 grams of tea, enough for a 13 ounce steep. I steep decaf blacks at 200°F, this one being no exception. I pulled the steep at four minutes, when the color depth was to my liking.
When hot, no bitterness was noted from the tea. Vanilla flavors were moderate. The tea tasted clean and zesty. I added a bit of sugar to sweeten the mix.
From warm all the way to finish, mild sugar cookie tastes were noted. A very pleasant after-effect for a decaf tea indeed! An appropriate amount of astringency was noted towards finish. You’ll be jonesin’ for a heapin’ plateful of vanilla sugar cookies to consume while sipping this one. (4 mins @ 200ºF, ¼ tsp sugar)
Decaf Vanilla Black tea is one of my go-to's at night time in the winter. Love the warmth of the tea.
Yum! This is very good. I love vanilla in tea, and this one is simple and straightforward. Delicious cold-brewed.
Really loving this blend! Good both with and without creamer, really nice to end my night with. The vanilla is nice and mellow, and savory enough that I am very well pleased with this brew. I might need to pick up a big bag. I brewed at 200°F and it was not bitter.
Great tea!
I love to mix this in with other teas for a more flavorful burst of hot tea. Highly recommend it to anyone.
Very yummy tea. I use it as my go to for a winding down evening cup of tea. I steep it at a lower temp to bring out less of the black tea flavour and more of the vanilla.
Great flavor. Nice balance between the tea and vanilla.
A perfect Decaf to have at the end of your day. I like to blend it with other teas to reduce the overall caffeine content. It's easy to blend with most anything.
It's decaf, it's vanilla. lol It is pretty good especially if you mix it with a blueberry decaf black. Sometimes it is late and I can't have caffeine and this does just fine.
Love the hint of vanilla in this flavor. it’s one of my favorites to drink in the morning.
This is the best tea I ever had. Being that I can't drink caffeine, I don't miss it with this tea!
Way too sweet for me. I was surprised that this didn't taist like other vanilla teas I have tried
I LOVE LOVE LOVE vanilla tea (black, green, etc.) This one is great and I love that I can drink it any time of the day.
The vanilla smells a bit strong in the pouch, but in the cup it's mild and pleasant. I like to make an adult drink with this tea, cream, brown sugar, and a bit of brandy - it ends up feeling really decadent.
The vanilla flavor was overpowering and a bit too much for me.
I add a tough of this vanilla tea to almost every tea I brew. It adds fullness and richness. Try it! You might start buying it by the pound like I do.
This tea is ok. I didn't like it that much by itself but it was good when I mixed it with other teas
Smells more like a sugar cookie than pure vanilla to me. Taste is nice but not very strong. The second brewing has very little vanilla flavor.
I love black tea and love vanilla teas. I especially love that I can have this mixture in the evenings and still get to sleep!
I was not a fan of this tea. I've been looking for some decaf alternatives for evening drinking, and after huge success with the decaf hazelnut cinnamon creme tea, I decided to give this a try. The vanilla tasted fake and was cloying and overpowering. Maybe I'll try experimenting with a few different ways of brewing to see if I can find a way that it's palatable for my taste buds, but overall, I was disappointed that I didn't find a great new decaf tea.
This tea has a great vanilla flavor that is just right. It blends nicely with the tea.
I really wanted to like this, but the vanilla is so strong it just dominates even if I cut it with plain decaf. I bought it to substitute for my decaf chai, which I love but is out of stock. Sadly, this will go unused...
This tea is fantastic. It can be blended with so many other teas as well!
I've been using this one to make ice tea with. While it was good on it's own, it's even better when mixed with the Decaf Strawberry. I brew it using a Mr. Ice Tea machine, 3 tablespoons of strawberry and 1 table spoon of vanilla.
A great evening tea! A little bit of honey and it’s like dessert in a cup!
Adagio's understanding of vanilla is better than just about any other teahouse's that I've tasted: creamy, rich, and nuanced, not simplistic bright notes sprayed on top, like so many others. One of my favourite nighttime comforts, mixed with a copious amount of soymilk and sweetener.
Kind of disappointed in this tea. It lacked a flavor level I was expecting, and fell dull on the taste buds.
I love vanilla black tea, and now I can enjoy it all day!
Very good, nice decaf tea, nice creamy vanilla flavor
Sometimes I don't want caffeine in the afternoon so this Decaf Vanilla does the trick for me. Vanilla is a very calming aroma, so this is perfect. My son also really likes this tea. Its the only one he will stop a video game and sit and have a cup of with me.
This is such a lovely, gently tea. The vanilla flavor is fairly mild. It would be a great tea to accent a couple cookies or other treats be because it can hold its own yet not overpower any accompanying flavors. Being decaffeinated, it is a wonderful option when you want something with a little more body in the afternoon or evening.
