This is a great option for me at the end of the day when I want more caffeine. The flavor is pretty neutral so it can be dressed up for my mood.
Decaf black tea with pure vanilla. Soothing and cozy, like warm sugar cookies made with fresh vanilla beans.

This is a great option for me at the end of the day when I want more caffeine. The flavor is pretty neutral so it can be dressed up for my mood.
Ok, I love this tea. It is great by itself, but I mostly use it to cut down the caffine in other black teas. Want an evening cup of Earl Gray? Mix with decaf vanilla. Makes the Earl Gray taste like a pastry, with less caffeine. It also rounds out any of the fruit flavored teas, strawberry, and orange are so good.
Always was a fan of vanilla flavoured teas, this one has the benefit of being able to be made at any time!
The aroma of this tea is strong and compelling before steeping, but the flavor leans a bit on a pungent side after steeping
This is a warming, velvety sort of tea which I can drink without guilt at night after the kids are finally asleep. I'm glad to have decaf tea that doesn't taste like decaf! (At least it doesn't to me, but maybe really deep afficionados can tell--if you have a general delight in black tea but don't notice without concentration that it has notes of licorice and campfire, I think you will like it.)
The decaf version of Adagio's black vanilla -- perfect for if you'd like a late night cuppa but don't want to stay up for hours.
great! the smell was lovely as well, glad to have drank it
I tried this along with several other discounted samples. It's not a bad tea by any means, but neither is it memorable.
Husband and son's new favorite tea. It tastes sweet without adding any sugar or honey and had pleasant aroma
I mix this with my earl grey, it's delicious. It's also great on its own, very strong vanilla flavor
I like having a variety of decaf teas in my tea stash for drinking in the evening hours. Decaf Vanilla is on our staple tea list because it never disappoints! Its a smooth, relaxing tea. The aroma is creamy, sweet vanilla. Good on its own and even better turned up a notch with honey and a splash of milk. Makes for a great aromatic evening sip, great for your senses and for relaxing.
Can't recommend this decaf vanilla tea enough! It is smooth, balanced, and flavorful! Not only that, but the vanilla tastes and smells high-quality, not like a synthetic vanilla scent or taste. If you're looking for a great decaf black tea, I highly recommend this one!
This tea is great, it comes out smelling just like vanilla and tastes smooth and great! Love it before bed!
I love this. It has the wonderful sweet and soothing aroma and taste of vanilla. It has no bitterness and I love that it is decaf. It's a great afternoon treat.
I really enjoyed this as an after dinner treat during the colder months of the year.
Very tasty. I’m glad that this exists in decaf. A great afternoon pick me up without caffeine to keep you up at night.
Not my favorite, but only for reasons of personal taste. It's a good tea, just not for me.
A decaffeinated black tea with a light vanilla flavor. I brewed this at a lower temperature to avoid any bitterness 195F for 3 minutes.
I was looking for a tea was decaffeinated and decided to try this one. Not my favorite but I have been having this tea in the afternoon! Smooth tasting and not too strong of vanilla taste.
bought these for my mother, she likes it for the flavor :D
Perfect for an evening treat. I pair it with a bit of ginger simple syrup.
Such a great smell of vanilla and rich flavor! Thankful for a vanilla I can drink without the jitters.
A lovely calming tea with a pleasant vanilla scent and flavor. This is a good one to brew and sip solo. A sweetener add brings out the best of its warm flavor. It’s also an excellent tea to mix with to add an extra creamy taste to blends. This decaf version is smooth without the traditional astringent bite of a regular flavored tea and a wonderful one to enjoy anytime.
My CT packet had 3 g/ 2 tsp of a nicely vanilla scented tea. Brewed at 12 oz. at 204*F for 3 min. the brown liquor had a milder aroma than that of the loose tea. I added agave to sweeten and the delicious tea seemed to disappear. A resteep of 8 oz. for 3:20 min. was a bit milder in flavor but was still tasty. This is a classic flavor that is a perfect go to for a bit of comfort and soothing sweetness.
Yummy! Another great low-caffeine option to share with my kids. I followed steep instructions but used more water than I normally would so it wasn’t too strong for them. We also tried it with a bit of vanilla creamer - it was good with and without.
Fabulous sweet vanilla decaf tea. The tea is great but itself or with a little sugar and milk. Great aroma, followed through with a nice, realizing vanilla flavor. Beautiful!
Adagio's decaf teas really are the best, and this one is no exception. Such nice sweet vanilla flavor without tasting artificial!
I’m not big on vanilla but this was a nice cuppa tonight. Since it’s a decaf, I had this at the end of a busy, long day. I ended up adding a pinch of rock sugar so it’s more like a dessert tea. This is one that would be great in blends, to add that touch of sweet smoothness. 190° for 2.5 minutes.
One of my favorite decaf teas for blending with just about any other flavor--the vanilla adds sweetness and creaminess to hot and iced teas. I steep at 190°F for 2-3 minutes, and never taste any bitterness. Great staple.
I found this to have a very subtle vanilla flavor that was especially good with a little cream and sugar. Decaf is always appreciated too!
I really enjoyed the combination of the black tea in the vanilla flavor, and the added benefit of this being a decaf tea scores extra points. Will be drinking this one again and again.
I am really not a fan of vanilla by itself. So I mixed mine with decaf orange so I could finish the cup <3
The vanilla aroma emanates strongly from the dried leaves of this flavored decaf tea and the scent lingers once the tea has been brewed. The vanilla flavor, despite the aroma, is present but not overpowering. It's more of a sensation to the tea, subtle and smoothing. Though this tea stands up to a second steep, it is somewhat finicky about temperature: brewing too hot results in bitterness that the vanilla just can't conquer. (1st steep - 4 minutes @ 212F; 2nd steep - 5 minutes @ 200F)
This is a lovely dessert tea. The vanilla is perfectly balanced. I like this one before bedtime!
Delicious!!! I’m such a fan of vanilla flavored treats and to have one I can drink at night without impacting sleep is wonderful. Win!
If you like decaf teas, I highly recommend this one as the vanilla flavour enhances the decaf ceylon nicely.
I'm a sucker for all things vanilla, and this tea is no exception. Its scent is heavenly creamy and brings to mind warm sugar cookies and decadent vanilla bean ice cream. I prefer most bakery flavors teas sweetened and this has such depth of flavor that it's not needed, but rock sugar did enhance the vanilla even further. Adagio's decaffeination process is unparalleled and leaves a full, rich black tea without any artificial or unnaturally bitter tastes on the palette. I would enjoy this as is and I can see why it's used in so many blends.
This is a good tea - the vanilla flavor stands out better on the decaf base than the regular ceylon somehow. Black tea flavor is very mild with sugary vanilla undertones throughout. I'd always reach for honeybush vanilla first for a real vanilla kick.
The vanilla was good. Not sure I liked the decaf part, but the vanilla was nice.
Update 3/26/22 I have purchased this a few times now. I enjoy blending it with other decaf teas. My favorite is decaf strawberry with this tea.
This tea is very smooth and has a wonderful vanilla taste. The tea is full bodied and can be enjoyed in the evening when some of us need to cut back on caffeine.
Hard to go wrong with this wonderfully simple tea. Perfect for just before bed
This was a nice smooth tea to end the day with. I am enjoying it with a nice chocolate cherry cookie - the vanilla is a nice match with the cherry of my cookie.
I very much enjoyed to days tea. The taste was smooth and wonderful.
Strong vanilla smell from the packet. Moderate vanilla taste. The tea wasn't bitter at all. Appreciated the decaf so I could drink it before bed. Very simple tea.
Nice vanilla and black tea smell in my CommuniTea packet. This is a nice basic black tea with pleasant flavoring, though I prefer it mixed with other flavors vs plain.
The vanilla smell was great right from the packet. Tea was balanced with warm vanilla. Yum
Today's CommuniTea packet is decaf vanilla, which is made of decaffeinated ceylon tea and vanilla flavor. I liked the flavor of today's packet, but where vanilla really shines is when it's mixed with other flavors. This tea is fantastic with almost anything it touches. Brewed in 12 ounces of 200-degree water for three minutes.
A nice vanilla flavor. This is probably not a tea that I would drink by itself but it does have a pleasant flavor.
This tea smelt so good. Decaf isn't my favorite type of tea lol but I loved the vanilla flavor.
I really like adagio's decaf in general, it's nice and smooth and doesn't have that 'flat' flavor that I find in other decafs. However, the vanilla here is just a light accent; evident in the (lovely) aroma, but not (unfortunately) the taste.
What a lovely vanilla tea! It almost has a bakery scent to it, very warm and comforting. I brewed this at a lower temp (195), and it came out perfectly. I would love to try blending this tea with others!
