★★★☆☆

There's nothing inherently wrong with this tea. It's pleasant enough, but the flavor, particularly on the first steep, reminded me more of raspberry rather than strawberry. I assume that was the raspberry leaves at work. The second steep, once it had cooled considerably, yielded a flavor more reminiscent of strawberry, which suggests this would make a better iced tea than hot tea. Still, I think I prefer strawberry to be a better complement to white tea than black.

Update 7/15/23: This time, I brewed the tea hot and chilled it, and as I suspected, the iced version with some sweetener added (honey) yields a flavor closer to strawberry. It's awfully candy-like, though, so while pleasant, it lacks the touch of tang that real strawberries can have.

In the bag: Almost all ceylon leaves. A few dried fruit pieces. A scattering of finely chopped raspberry leaves.

On the nose (pre-steep): A light strawberry scent. It's thicker and darker than fresh strawberries, almost like strawberry jam.

On the nose (post-steep): Similar scent as pre-steep, but lighter and thinner.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Unsweetened cocoa is the main flavor. An accent of strawberry. Slight bitterness.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change.

Opinion: A decent tea that failed to deliver on its premise. The strawberry smelled delightful before the steep, but vanished a little more with each following step. Fortunately, I like flavored blacks, otherwise I might not have enjoyed this blend.

Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 195 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.

This is right up there with the decaf blueberry, which I love. I surprised myself by adding some non-dairy milk to this before even trying it plain, and it was heavenly strawberries n cream. I want to try this plain and sweet and cold, and maybe even dump it on the bed and roll around in it.

Wonderful strawberry aroma when I opened the packet was followed through when water was added. The tea had a great strawberry taste too and being decaf is something I can enjoy in the evening.

I read some other reviews, and realized I my sample of Adagio's Decaf Strawberry must have missed out on all the flavour I read about. Upon opening the packet, there was a faint bit of strawberry wafting up to greet my nose. During steeping, there was pretty much no aroma other than the lovely tea leaves. On the tongue was no hint of strawberry, but a lovely decaf tea. I added clover honey to pull out the strawberries, and a drop of half and half - neither attempts were successful. I rarely find a tea I won't drink, but this one must have missed out on. I am thinking I just got a dud sample pack. I hope to try this again with all the goodness in it that I read about in other reviews.

Very nice as a hot tea, and I bet it's a lovely iced tea as well. The strawberry component was present, not super-strong - I would have been fine with it being more pronounced, but it was still nice as it was. Steeped 2.5 min @ 212º.

I’m not a fan of strawberry teas. I like that this one has trace caffeine. There are notes of strawberry at the end. There is a strong black tea flavor.

10 oz, 3 mins @ 195* F, divided. Sweetener in both portions.

Hot:
I had to let this cool a bit and added some cream. While hot, hot, it was a touch bitter - but as it cooled that mellowed out and it became quite an enjoyable sip. Looking forward to it cold.

Cold
Quite good with a bit of sweetener. The addition of coconut cream wasn't necessary, but it made it even more enjoyable.

LOVED this tea! I brewed it as sun tea and it was mild and smooth. It was the hit of our Memorial Day party. I added some sugar and it was 'good to go'!

★★★★☆

A lovely black tea with just enough of a strawberry flavor. It is a nice subtle flavor. I would watch it carefully, as over steeping can lead to a bitter after taste.

Not one of my favorite as the flavors are quite muted.

I usually brew a combination of the Decaf Strawberry and Decaf Vanilla tea on a Friday afternoon. It's a nice way to smooth out a rough work week.

★★★★★

Great flavor and nice nighttime tea since it is less caffeine.

My kids love this tea. We drink it hot and I also use it to make ice tea in the summer it is great both ways

My children especially love this tea, and I love that there's a decaf version I can serve them for fun tea parties.

Decaf Strawberry is most marvelous in blends, but can be enjoyed by itself. This tea can add an earthy and fruity element...or in a blend & with cream..you got a dessert-y Strawberry and Cream vibe. Adagio's decaf's are the cat's pajamas. They are more flavorful than the caff sister version!

Another sneaky decaf that makes me happy I found Adagio! The berry flavor isn't strong but I'm fine with that. I will say it didn't make a stand out iced tea but I am looking for a hot cuppa to start and end my day with- this is a great choice!

This tea has just the right amount of strawberry flavor. A little bit of honey added really brings out the full flavor.

Love this tea iced! Very nice for afternoon picnics or general outdoor sitting. I personally think it's only 'okay' hot; it's not as robust as I thought the flavor would be.

I love strawberry in almost any form: fresh berries, shake, ice cream, jam.
Strawberry teas are always finicky, most taste and smell very artificial.
Adagio nailed it with theirs though. Love the taste and smell.

It is okay but not the strong flavor of strawberry that I would have appreciated. It is a mild tea.

This tea is perfect at night and goes really well with stevia sweetener too

SO happy for this tea and that it's decaf and still so good, I can have it at night after dinner with no worries that it'll keep me up

★★★★★

Its the perfect balance of sweet candy and fresh berry flavor. Impressively strong too, it's not merely scented like so many flavored geocerystore teas are, it genuinely tastes like strawberries!

★★★★★

Incredible! Super smooth flavor and just the right intensity for an evening sip, especially with a splash of milk.

I combine this decaf strawberry with decaf vanilla, and add lots of milk and sugar, and ice. It tastes so good on a hot summer day. Like a strawberry dreamsicle. Yummy ya'll!

Winner, winner - decaf strawberry dinner. The strawberry aroma is very, very nice. The delicious strawberry is spot on. If the intensity could be upped a little bit, that would be good. I added stevia to the brew and drank my cup with a bit of evaporated milk. We have us a delicious and creamy strawberry delight.

This Tea smells great. The flavor is strong and doesn't leave that weird film feeling on your teeth like other decaf teas.

Great to have a decaf summer tea to drink in the afternoon when it gets hot. So delicious!

Lovely! The strawberry isn't fake or overpowering -- just right.

Pungent strawberry flavor, but I absolutely LOVE strawberries so this tea is perfect for me right before bed.

I brewed at 190 to prevent bitterness. It is exactly what it says it is! Decaf black with a good strawberry flavor. Very good iced. A little bit of sugar really brings out the strawberry flavor. I got 3 good steeps out of these leaves. I also brewed it as a sun tea and found that to be deliciously mellow.

I like to mix and match flavored decaf black teas, and Adagio strawberry is one of my favorites. It goes especially well with peach and/or apricot. I steep for a full five minutes and add a bit of sugar. Also makes a very good iced tea!

I loooooove this tea! It is fragrant, the flavor is delicious, and it's not muted down at all for being a decaf. Will definitely buy again!

Having recently enjoyed the apricot tea, I found the strawberry a little lacking--just not as fruity as I had hoped.

★★★★☆

I made this hot and as an iced tea. Was great either way. Yum!

★★★☆☆

This isn't as good as it's caffinated counterpart for some reason. It has more of a bubblegum taste to it. I was hoping to use it for iced tea, but the flavor just isn't what I expected. It's not bad if you like strawberry gum.

I loved the regular strawberry black tea but I love this even more. This brewed perfectly and without a hint of bitterness. Great strawberry flavor and I love that it is decaf!

My very very favorite evening tea! When you open the bag, it reminds me of the smell of strawberry jello mix from childhood. But the flavor is much more subtle than that.
