Today's CommuniTEA is Decaf Earl Grey (3-23-23). Upon opening my packet, I think I had a decent amount of all ingredients. I added some orange peels and orange honey. It was very orangey, sweet, and delicious! It took the sweetness of the honey very well. I would highly recommend this tea!
I always love Earl Grey blends--the bergamot really stands out and makes it a nice fruity tea to enjoy.

A hearty but average Earl Grey with a slightly soapy and lemony finish. I am not an Earl Grey person and was thinking I might like this one till the soapy finish. I have come around on some Adagio Earl Grey tea but not this one.

IF I were a tea, Earl Grey would be my boyfriend; but probably not Mr Decaf! This version was a bit light on the bergamot, but the floral was coming through. I'm all for decaf, it has its time and place, but this was too lightweight for my needs.
The decaf earl grey has a lovely bergamot aroma and taste. It is smooth with very little astringency. It is a great when I want to enjoy the flavors of earl grey without the caffeine!
Yesterday was an Earl Grey day for me, not even thinking, I had one at work, not a decaf, not Adagio, then I had the decaf late last night, I gotta say the decaf from Adagio was tons better than the regular from Bigelow, such a great taste with zero bitterness.
UPDATED from 2/20/22: I bought the tea bags and they are convenient to use. Hard to believe this is decaf...delicious, and all my friends who tried it at my tea party loved it!
There is the lovely aroma of oranges as the CommuniTEA packet opens. Not being a fan of Earl Grey tea, I am delighted to see all the lovely ingredients, that steep (at a lower temp to avoid bitterness) into a rich rusty amber. The flavor is delightful and not at all bitter. This is an Earl Grey I can enjoy as the orange flavor stands out (and the bergamot seems absent). Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) helps the orange flavors come more forward. Great that I can drink this any time of day, and it steeps well more than once. (3 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener).
CT packet 3/23/23 - I have tried several different decaf Earl Grey teas, and I have found that they all have different flavor profiles. I personally prefer decaf Earl Grey tea that has a strong bergamot flavor. I find that this flavor helps to mask the bitterness that can sometimes be associated with decaffeinated tea. I did find the bergamot to be a bit more subtle in this one but I did not get any bitterness so I will consider that a win!
Earl grey teas are my favorite. I love the flavor of bergamot. This tea is very light on bergamot. I like having a decaf version on hand for evenings.
I viscerally dislike bergamot. I tried this tea, found it to be smoother than most Earl Greys, and still hated the bergamot, so I gave it to my husband, who loved it and said he'd drink it every day if he could. The rating is a combination of our respective opinions. ;)
This tasted like soap to me. Earl grey is not my favorite but this is the first I have actively disliked. Bummer as I was excited it is decaf.
This made a fantastic evening London Fog with a bit of vanilla and sweetened condensed milk! No caffiene is a big plus for those evenings I want to enjoy strong flavored tea :)

I've never been an Earl Grey fan because I drink coffee in the morning and don't want caffein in the daytime. This is delicious and I can drink it anytime.

A delicious tea that does not taste like decaf at all! Sometimes when I want some caffeine, I do half a teaspoon of decaf Earl Grey and half a teaspoon of the caffeinated Earl Grey Lavender.

Utter perfection. I love Earl Grey, especially on rainy nights, but I don't love the caffeine jitters from most Earl Grey blends. You get the same bergamot deliciousness but with decaf leaves, so you can have it at night without worrying about being slammed awake!

I don’t normally like Earl Grey tea but this one is delicious. I drank it unsweetened in a nice teacup and really enjoyed the smell and flavors while I drank it. I have also started blending it with other decaf teas and fruit tisanes. It mixes well with decaf vanilla.

I've been an Earl Grey Bravo tea fan for many years now, thought I'd give Decaf Earl Grey a try for my go-to evening tea and I LOVE IT!!! I find myself drinking it afternoons AND evenings! The Bergamot flavor I so dearly love is very much present in the decaf. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes the Earl Grey teas.
Delighful sip for the evening hours for me. No bitterness at all. A big heavy on the bergamot at times but that's not something I mind. I'm loving more and more the no caffiene options so I can just keep drinking tea all day!

This decaf Earl Grey is just as good as the caffeinated version! It's a lovely alternative for when I want some tea before bed. I'm partial to having it with just a little sugar and milk.
I love this tea, and this is my second time I'm order a big batch. It has the perfect amount of floral notes and is a solid black tea (even though it's decaf). In the summer I like making iced tea, using this tea and also your chestnut tea. I drink it all day long with a little bit of natural sugar.
Exactly what I wanted out of a decaf earl grey! None of the flavors are lacking, and I'm not missing anything by getting decaf. This will be my go-to earl grey when I want to skip the caffeine.

I didn't care for it at first, it was overwhelming. I've learned to remove the tea bag after two minutes. I can get a solid second cup. I usually purchase loose teas, but tried teabags in this flavor for convenience. I removed a star because of the nylon teabag. Adagio - please educate yourselves. They are non-biodegradable and leach micro-plastics into our tea and bodies. There are many plastic free and environmentally sound options.
