I found the floral elements a little strong unfortunately resulting in a perfume-like aftertaste for me. While I know it is not artificial, it was a vibe I couldn't shake. My taste buds found it to be soap or candle-like.
Decaf blend of rich black tea, flavored with bergamot (a citrus fruit). A zesty citrus classic.

not bad. i did detect some hint of earl grey flavor and i'm happy there is a decaf. however nothing can hold a candle to my obsessive love for moonlight adagio earl grey. that stuff it forever it for me.
A easy choice for Earl Grey fans who need to sleep soon!
IT makes me so happy that I found an earl grey that is decaf!!! I can have my moring tea without the strong effects of caffeine.
I’m an Ear Grey love, and this Decaf Earl Grey, was no exception. There was a strong citrus smell from the bergamot and orange coming from my packet as I opened it. Once brewed, you get a deep rich, full body tea with gentle and pleasant astringency, no bitterness. The flavor is a has the citrus of the bergamot on the forefront, with mild orange notes. Excellent, caffeine free choice.
Great tea! I can't really tell the difference between this and the normal earl grey. I love it for when I don't want caffeine but want a nice cup of black tea.
Perfect cup of tea in the morning. I switched to decaf teas from coffee because of heart issues. I don’t miss my coffee.
I was worried at first that being decaf would change the flavor, but no it was an amazing earl grey to have at night or in the morning!
This was a gift for my father, who fell in love at first sip. He was so happy to have his favorite drink available at morning or night!
Normally I'm not a fan of decaf tea at all. However, this one really changed my perspective. It takes a bit longer to brew, but once brewed it makes an enjoyable and flavorful cup of decaf tea.
This is ok for a decaf, certainly better than plastic teabag decaf options, but not as good as the fully caffeinated earl grey teas, but ok when I add cardamom to it. Not something I will order againl.
Exactly what I want from an earl grey. I've been drinking it at night and haven't noticed any changes to my sleeping, so it'a a good alternative when I want the comfort of an earl grey without the caffein.
I wondered how you'd would hold up, being decaf, and was not disappointed. Tastes like regular Earl Grey! I'm highly sensitive to caffeine, so I will say drinking this around 5pm did make it difficult for me to fall asleep that night, but it was nowhere near as bad as it could have been.
I've been trying to acquire more herbal and non-caffeinated teas to enjoy in the evenings, but I don't like fruit flavors, which leaves a lot out. Earl Grey is not always my favorite because it goes tanniny so quick. The trick I've found is a lower temp and short brew time, with more leaves if you want it stronger.
The aroma wasn't as strong of bergamot as I expected. Deep almost brown liquid. Slightly astringent. The flavor was also lighter than expected. I prefer the Rooibos Earl Grey where the bergamot seemed much more potent.
This is my go-to tea in the morning with breakfast.
I am a long time Earl Grey freak: full strength, with real milk and real sugar, two pots a day - minimum. Then I got the news there would be no more caffeine for me (!!) Being a sceptic, I never thought I would find a decent decaf Earl Grey. I have fallen for those 5 star decaf reviews before and much of that stuff was on the verge of being undrinkable, particularly the decaf bags. But if you HAVE to go decaf (and sometimes, you do), this one is quite good: rarely bitter, brews clear and bright, and the scent is almost like 'the real thing.' If you mix this half and half with some caf long leaf EG, I bet you within a few pots you will be happy with the blend. And even if you brew this as 100% decaf - you will get used to it, and this brand is far and away the best I have found. (And I have tried too, too many). This brand is not cheap, and this might seem like a back-handed compliment, but if you have to drink decaf - get this stuff. I started with a sampler and buy it buy the pound now.
Great earl grey for the evening. Better quality than any bagged tea. Like that the flavor isn't impacted
I really wanted to like this one. I have been enjoying several of the other Earl Grey blends that have caffeine. This one kind of tastes like soap. Not sure if I got a bad batch. Disappointed.
I not only drink this every morning, but can't wait to smell it each morning as it brews. It signals the beginning of another wonderful day. The flavor is strong and intense, as a good earl grey should be, in my opinion. It is equally delightful as an Iced tea option. I realized that I had covid by opening my tea container and not being able to smell my tea which I do every morning before brewing. Was one of the happiest signs of recovery when I could enjoy not only the taste but the smell of my daily tea!
This is easily on par with the Earl Grey Bravo. I definitely enjoy drinking this and love the aromas of the raw tea as well as the tea once brewed. Adagio definitely knows how to do Earl Grey. You would not know from the aromas and flavors present in the raw tea and once it's brewed that it's decaf. If you like Earl Grey, but need a decaf option, I highly recommend this tea.
My wife’s favorite tea! Great afternoon tea, smooth & mellow…..
No taste is lost in this decaf tea! I love it hot or iced with just a bit of honey. My only issue is I drink it too fast!
A great decaf alternative to regular Earl Grey. I also use it 1:1 with Earl Grey Supreme leaves to make a “half-caff” if I only want a little bit of caffeine.
Earl Grey Moonlight was my favorite black tea. As I'm not drinking caffeine these days, I wanted that rich flavor in a decaf tea. At first I was disappointed in this tea, because it lacks the flavor notes of the Moonlight. Then I made a blend of 1/3 Decaf Earl Grey, 1/3 Decaf Vanilla, and 1/3 Decaf Cream. It's pretty darn close and now is my favorite decaf tea.
I always have this tea on hand. It has been a household staple for many years. The perfect blend for that late afternoon or evening cup when you don't want any caffeine.
This is a good choice for an earl grey tea without caffeine. I prefer an earkbgrey in the morning but it’s nice to have a decaf option
Earl Grey is my favorite flavor of tea, and I come back to the original version over and over again. I love trying all the other bergamot blends, but this is a classic Earl Grey in a decaf format, so I can drink it without getting all the caffeine.
Good, fresh earl grey. I like it with some sugar and preheated milk. Be sure not to oversteep though, it’ll taste like soap.
Good decaf option for an earl grey. Not as smooth as early grey moonlight, but a good quality tea nonetheless.
I would never realize this was a decaf if I didn't know it. The flavor is perfectly Earl Grey and lovely for an evening drink.
It’s difficult to find a good decaf earl grey tea — this one is amazing. Great flavor.great, strong taste without the caffeine.
Great flavor, be sure not to over steep as it’ll taste a but weird
Earl Grey has turned into my second favorite tea. I typically start my day with peach and end it with Earl Grey. The Bergamot flavors are so yummy!
This is a good solid Earl Grey, but without the caffeine, so I can have it later in the day. What's not to like?
A solid earl grey tea, I don't notice a difference between this and the regular caffeinated earl grey.
I'm not a big earl grey fan but I do enjoy being able to drink black tea in the evening!
A decaffeinated version of a classic, this Earl Grey is softer than most of Adagio's other offerings. The characteristic bergamot is there, but it doesn't have quite the same bite that the tea's caffeinated counterparts do. Whether that's the nature of the decaf version or the result of a short-changed first steep has yet to be determined. (~3 min. @ 212F)
Earl Grey is a favorite and this version does not disappoint. I like that the bergamot has a nice, strong flavor without being too much.
Communitea: I was excited to try this cream free earl grey. I really liked this option. Nice amount of bergamot.
As an earl grey lover this is perfect for when I want the flavors of earl grey but not the caffeine. The flavor is pretty much spot on for the regular earl grey!
I've started to love Earl Grey more and more since Adagio. Their Earl Grey flavors really set the bar high. This was nice and bold even though it is decaf. I like to add a little sweet cream creamer to mine. Vanilla and cream flavors added to bergamot are the best!
Delicious Earl Gray. Lots of bergamot without being overdone. Decaf options are nice for nighttime.
A nice decaf option for those who enjoy Earl Greys. It had a very, very slight floral astringency to it [190°F, 3min], the citrus was a moderate and appreciated zesty note. Added a little heated oat milk and it furthered that lovely citrus zeal and completely covered up the off floral flavour.
I’m appreciative of the decaf teas…as I often don’t get to wind down until late in the day or evening. This was a delicious Earl grey. Not bitter. The bergamot came through and I’m getting used to this flavour. I added honey.
I forgot about this while steeping and oversteeped it by about five minutes, but I actually think this particular Earl Grey took well to the oversteeping! It was strong without being chalky, and the bergamot and orange were delightful. I'm a huge Earl Grey person, and this blend was no different. Perfect for the evening!
A tasty earl grey that I almost wish I'd saved for the evening. I often crave black tea before bed, and this is a great decaf option!
I am a huge fan of Earl Grey and this blend is great because it is decaf and I can have it any time of the day.
I get a slightly soapy taste with this one that unfortunately ruins the cup. Bummer!
In the bag: Almost entirely Ceylon. One small piece of dried orange rind. A few tiny strands of cornflower.
On the nose (pre-steep): Living up to its namesake, bergamot is loud and proud. It comes across as a half herbaceous, half citrus flavor. A thick, cloying nose feel. Intense.
On the nose (post-steep): Same aroma as pre-steep but toned down. Moderate intensity.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Bergamot is the main flavor here as well. It's especially strong on the front of my tongue. A hint of bitterness on the back of my tongue.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): Sweetener helps to accent the citrus notes and counter the astringency.
Opinion: A pleasant tea. I think the Earl has begun to grow on me. Perhaps the softer decaffeinated version comes across at just the right intensity.
Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 195 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
