New flavor for me. I as not disappointed.. very good
Oh my gosh, I love this tea! I actually prefer the decaf flavor to the fully caffeinated version. It works perfectly as a midday or bedtime treat.
This tea has a delicious chocolate flavor! And with no caffeine! This is one of my favorite new teas!
OH WOW this one was unbelievable.. its like desert in a cup... a real treat and no Caffine !! just delicioous
In the bag: Looks like the Adagio photo, but with less cornflower petals.
On the nose: Semisweet chocolate is the main player. An undertone of earthiness, almost like hay.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Semisweet chocolate right up front, especially on the front and middle tongue. A hint of chicory in the aftertaste. No astringency. Medium intensity.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): The chocolate tastes more like a proper milk chocolate. The sweetness has masked the chicory note. Tastes more like a dessert.
Opinion: A pretty good tea that presents the chocolate and then gets out of the way. Probably the purest presentation of cocoa I’ve tasted in a tea. With some other blends - such as honeybush chocolate - the other base teas or additives can pull attention away from the chocolate. Thus, this is perfect for us choco-holics who want to avoid caffeine.
Preparation: First steep 5 min, second steep 10 min. Both @ 212 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
Sometimes I want hot tea before bed, but caffeine after lunch = no sleep til 3am. Thankfully, this is the perfect solution
Amazing! I am so glad that I tried this tea. This is the only decaffeinated black tea in my cabinet and it is here to stay!
This tea is delightful as a dessert tea. It is smooth and creamy with a very subtle sweetness. My husband, who is not a chocolate lover, enjoys as well. I especially like it with a bit of steamed milk.
The Decaf Chocolate Truffle Infusion is a luxurious treat for chocolate lovers who want to unwind without the caffeine jitters.
When you’re avoiding sugary treats, this infusion satisfies your sweet tooth.
Like many, this is now a favourite of mine. Hits the spot especially with a splash of milk (dairy or oat are my preferences) and is great even for a second brew.
This is a delicious decaf tea that has delicious chocolate flavor. A delightful indulgence after dinner!
This is one of my favorite ones. The chocolate flavor is there. I can't taste too much truffle in the tea, but really good.
Wonderful rich chocolate tea that is perfect for relaxing in the evening! I enjoy it with milk and a little sugar.
A delicious chocolatey treat to have in the evening and it won't keep you up all night. Add milk and honey to make it extra decadent.
Delicious!!! I can't get enough of this tea- so good
This is by far the best tasting chocolate tea I have ever had! It is so rich and creamy and tastes amazing on it's own or mixed with some cream and sugar. I like blending mine with raspberry patch for a sweet treat.
I have been digging chocolate teas lately. This one is smooth and tasty but something is off. Reading through the list of ingredients, I think it may be the chicory. I will probably try blending with some others next time to see if that tastes better to me.
A rich chocolate flavor with no bitterness that can be enjoyed any time of the day, even in the late evening having no caffeine. Very nice. March 2024 i enjoyed this great chocolate decaf tea this evening before bed.
I enjoyed today’s tea. It had a good chocolate flavor.
CommuniTEA Sample: A tasty chocolate tea to end the night with. Yum!
A decadent dark chocolate flavor. Perfect as a dessert tea. I added honey.
This is a true chocolate lovers tea. It tastes and smells of liquid chocolate. Hot chocolate in a tea forum.
3/24 yep still nice. needs sweetener. smells divine, taste is very mild.
nice, mildly chocolatey, not much flavor even with some sweetener.
This is an absolute staple in my house. Decadent chocolate, sweet velvety tea, no caffeine. A perfect combination.
It tastes exactly like its caffinated counterpart, sweet and chocolaty.
Wonderful deep flavors of chocolate and…well, chocolate!! Loved this dessert in a cup.
Chocolate tea requires sweetness and a favorite milk. It's a good decaf, can't find a tea like this in the store. 🍫
more flavor than a lot of flavored teas, but artificial chocolate flavor and doesn't really give the rich / indulgent taste i was after.
It’s chocolate, but it’s not dark enough for me.
Update to three stars. The smell from the packet is very light chocolate. 2 min @ 165 There is a light chocolate flavor. It's okay, just not for me.
Smooth as silk. perfect blend of chocolate and chicory. will have to add this one to my list of go to teas.
This is a delicious decaf tea with for chocolate option! The aroma is absolutely lovely. It's also good with a little cream added 😋
Heavy chocolate aromas were noted in my communiTEA packet. However, no chocolate chips were seen!
I had 3.04 grams of ingredients, enough for a medium strength 12 ounce steep. I steeped at 200°F for the Ceylon lack tea, for three minutes.
When hot, mild unsweetened dark chocolate and slightly bitter cocoa nib flavors were noted. I added ⅜ teaspoon of sugar to help counteract the bitterness and sweeten the chocolate flavors.
When warm, mild toasted nutty flavors were noted from the chicory. Moderate sweetened dark chocolate flavors were noted. The cocoa nibs were mild to moderately bitter towards finish. Mild chicory flavors were toasty and nutty. No black tea bitterness was noted.
Dark chocolate chip smooth tastes were missing from this blend. It would have helped to remove some of sharp edges off of the cocoa nib bitterness Oh well, that’s the problem with these tiny tea packets … you can’t always expect to get a proper mix of ingredients. (3 mins @ 200ºF, ⅜ tsp sugar)
Just what it sounds like, very chocolatey. Good with steamed milk as a hot chocolate alternative before bed.
This is a good tea, a little milk and sweetener and its a perfect dessert tea without too many calories. Would be 5 stars except that while I drink this I want bourbon chocolate ball which is the superior tea
I love chocolate teas and this one was great and bonus that it's decaf. Delicious with cream and honey.
This has such a great smell and taste and satisfies my craving for chocolate in the afternoon. Yum!
Honestly, this one wasn't my favorite. It smelled faintly of chocolate and didn't taste like anything.
I adore the regular Chocolate Truffle. The decaf seems to fall a little flat, probably just because it's decaf, but I'm still happy that this is offered.
Chocolate and tea is not one of the flavors that I would normally put it together, but this blend surprised me. It has notes of a darker chocolate and even with sweetener leans towards cocoa more then chocolate for me. Very nice as an evening wind down.
Love this! Smells delicious but isn’t to sweet with chocolate. I add a teaspoon of vanilla coffee creamer and my kids love it. Great before bed for a sweet treat without being heavy.
While there is a hint of chocolate, it is mostly bland and thin. Pleasant enough to drink; but nothing special.
Chocolate truffle is my favorite chocolate tea. This decaf version is perfect for an after dinner treat.
I’m a chocolate lover, so this is a delicious treat to me. I love the smooth flavor of the chocolate truffle of this tea.
I love this tea - sooo much chocolate flavor! It's definitely my new favorite, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves chocolate.
I love that this Chocolate Truffle was decaf. It had a nice chocolate flavor. A little cream and agave to sweeten it made it very enjoyable.
The chocolate is a little fake and weak, and I found the decaf black tea to be a little thin here as well.
Surprising smooth and flavorful for a decaf, this is my favorite tea to have with dessert (or as dessert with a bit of honey).
OMG. This is my new favorite. Chocolatey with a little tea flavor added. I'm sensitive to caffeine so I'm careful not to steep it longer than 4 minutes.
