I am trying to reduce caffeine on an empty stomach, so I tried this for my first cup in the morning. It tastes great - no off taste as other decafs seem to have. I also plan to make this into iced tea and Arnold Palmers for refreshing dinner drink to reduce my alcohol intake as well!

Decaf ceylon is always in my fridge, in iced from. I brew in 2 liter quantities for everyday drinking. So much better than mass produced commercial tea.

Pretty good for a decaf Ceylon. I like to mix some dried rose or lavender with this. Great with any herbs though. Also good iced!

I drink this tea almost every morning mixed with a caffeinated black tea. I love how smooth is the taste and how forgiving the tea is to brew. I can steep it for 3, 4, or 5 minutes and its never bitter. I almost always rebrew the leaves for a second cup that tastes as good as the first. Its a versatile, wonderful staple of my mornings.

Kind of bland. I can hardly taste it. There are much tastier decaf teas to party with.

Meh. Tasted very drab and flat. Altering steeping time didn't help.

Let me just say that decaf ceylon is THE tea to use for iced tea. It HAS to be decaf though. I'll go into detail about this in a second. I'll get out of the way that this tea is very good if you want a hot black tea without the caffeine. Now back to the iced tea thing.
Whenever I travel down south(I have family down there) I usually always order sweet tea with my meal at restaurants. Sweet iced tea is a staple drink down there and I've always tried to make it at home, but it never tasted the same. There was always something 'off' about it. Come to find out I was using regular caffeinated tea bags. Almost every restaurant down south uses decaf bags. I know this cause I'm friends with a waitress from NC and that's what she says they always use. Folks, I know you wouldn't think caffeine would change the taste, but it does. Trust me, I've brewed iced tea with caffeinated and decaf tea and there's a difference. Brew it both with regular and then decaf and try it. You'll notice the decaf tastes exactly like you would get down south.
All this being said, I wish adagio would sell decaf ceylon in the large iced tea bags. It would be more convenient. Not a deal breaker though. You can still buy the smaller full leaf pyramid bags and just use more of them for a pitcher of iced tea!
Enjoy everyone!

I found this like any decaf tea. Good but lacking the kick of a caffeinated tea. I gave it 5 stars because this is what I expect of a decaf tea. This is a good compromise of tea flavor and a good night of sleep.
★★★☆☆
It brews what looks like a strong tea but is sadly lacking in depth and flavor. I mix it with a regular black to boost its flavor but still having less caffeine than usual.
★★★★☆
Just a good mild cup of decaf that I like to have in the evenings. Great on cold winter nights.

Decaf Ceylon is a flavorful alternative to buying boxed decaf tea bags for ice tea.
★★★★☆
This tea has a very nice flavor and brews very strong. I found that I got three brews out of a heaping teaspoon, and two good brews out of a scant teaspoon. I added some rose buds to it, and it paired well with them, the Ceylon giving a nice base to a subtle rose top-note and fragrance. I definitely recommend this tea.

This decaf Ceylon is delicious. Sometimes it's nice to drink a black tea without the caffeine. This one isn't overbearing, just a simple something to sip on without the buzz.

This is my second purchase. Delicious tea! Very fresh and smooth tasting. Fast shipping. Adagio Teas is the only place I purchase my tea now.

Decaf teas have a long way to go to reach the quality anywhere near normal teas. Decaf ceylon is no exception to this. If you took ceylon and boiled it in water for a minute and then re-dried it, that's what you can expect from this tea. It feels like the second boiling. The aroma and flavor is lackluster. If you steep it long enough you can still get a bitter flavor, but it's not a good bitter.

I've actually been making iced tea with mine. It is excellent. I highly recommend. I just wish it came in large bags for ice tea.

Very good, especially for a decaf tea. I love this at night.

I use this variety for pitchers of Iced Tea. It doesn't lose any of its flavor when ice cold.

a really nice smooth tea. i will definitely buy again

This is the best decaf tea. It's not strong for a black tea, which is true of most decafs, but the closest to the real thing without all the caffeine.
Still the best decaf!
★★★★☆
I like the blended teas and flavors, but this makes a nice cup of tea, plain, no frills. Perfect for those days when I am too busy.
★★★★☆
Mom said it tasted very close to its caffeinated counterpart!

Good for a decaf tea, but the caffeinated versions are always better.

A great decaf black tea. Did not use sugar or milk. Has a nice flavor. Not bitter. Brewed with a loose tea brewer cup and reused the tea leaves a second time. Would definitely purchase this again. The sample size (.8 oz) is enough to make many cups of tea.

Love this delicate tea. I keep it in the pantry for times when my family is feeling under the weather. I can give it to my 7 year old with honey and lemon and not worry that she won't sleep.
★☆☆☆☆
Tastes like hot water! Doesn't smell like earl grey. Iguess I like the caffine version better.

This is nice basic black tea that is perfect for the those cold winter nights without keeping you awake all night long. Would buy again!

good for a second brew, looses most of it's flavor by the third. it tastes just like the regular ceylon (which I love).

Very nice cup of decaf black tea. Sometimes you just want the taste of the honey to shine through.

Lovely, not too strong. I like to mix this with the spearmint for a soft, not-too-overpowering minty drink before bed.

I never want to drink tea bought in the grocery again!

A good replacement for the caffeinated breakfast teas I can no longer drink. Nice with lemon and honey.

Alot of people forget that decaf tends to be much milder than normal tea. This is a good flavor load for decaf.

I thought I just wanted a plain decaf tea. But I got a sample for this at the same time as the decaf vanilla. The decaf vanilla tastes like a plain black tea, except that it's much sweeter than the decaf Ceylon. It appeals to my sweet tooth! So I think I'm going to order the decaf vanilla instead of this. But this is decent if you just want plain decaf tea.

Mild tea. No strong flavor just nice. I haven't had it hot yet - just use it for iced tea. I mix it with the decaf raspberry too. Yum.
★★★★☆
I brew this at double strength so that it has the body and depth of proper black tea. It also ices well.
★★★☆☆
I found this tea slightly bitter, but I like more fruity and lighter tea.

I was hoping to find a good black tea in decaf form so that I would have something to drink at night. Sadly, this does not really live up to my hopes and dreams. It's pretty flat, generally speaking, as it seems to have lost some of the more complex flavors found in other, unmolested ceylons. It's okay, but I would not describe it as being good.

Not as flavorful as the caffeinated Ceylons, but not a huge difference. 3 stars for taste, 5 stars for ability to drink after dinner!

So nice to have a crisp, delicious Ceylon I can have at dinnertime, when it's too late in the day for me to be drinking caffeine. Very tasty!

This is a nice tea when I want black tea in the evening without keeping me up.

ok tea BUT...They don't accept returns of damaged goods such as tea kettles that do not boil water unless you have a PRINTER. Yes, I said printer. They sent me a 100.00 tea kettle that does not boil water and I can't return it because I do not have a printer to print the label - they will NOT send me a label by mail...Strange huh?

I'm a huge fan of the other Ceylon teas (Waltz and Sonata), but I enjoy them so often I'll be wired all afternoon. This decaf version is similar in flavor--without hitting me with the jitters.
